I love my car, so when something is wrong with it, I try to take it to a good doctor...er, I mean…read moremechanic. A few weeks ago, my car started doing something that it had never done before. When I turned the key to ignite the engine, the engine would struggle for a bit, and then when the car turned on, all of my alarms and lights would start flashing. This was especially embarrassing in public because it looked like I was breaking into my own car. This obviously seemed like an electrical issue, so I brought it over to my usual mechanic who shall not be named here. They said that they don't do electrical work and recommended that I take it to the dealership. As we all know, even driving past your dealership will cost you $100, so I decided to check around for local mechanics who do electric work. Dynasty Auto was one of the first ones I checked out, and the Yelp reviews convinced me to give them a shot. I brought my car in and just as I figured, it was an electrical problem. However, it was a big one. I needed a part replaced. Dynasty offered me the option to go new or used. I went with used because it would save me some money. When the used part came in, they immediately called me to inform me that the used part was garbage and that they wouldn't send me and my car out of there with something like that. I really appreciated their honesty because I've had mechanics put faulty parts in my car in the past. So, the only option was to buy a new part instead of used. Long story short, it took a bit for the new part to get installed and programmed correctly, but on the upside, my car is back to normal, and Dynasty charged me for the used price instead of the new one to compensate my inconvenience. Through every step of the way, they took the time to explain what was wrong, what needed to be done, and what steps they were taking to get it done. I can't stress enough how strongly I recommend Dynasty if you need work done on your car. They're honest people, they charge reasonable prices, and they beyond the call of duty to make sure your car is back in good shape. If you're looking for a new mechanic or are just willing to try someone new, have Dynasty take a look at your car. 5 stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Warning: In my opinion, my experience involved deceptive business practices…read more I called Dynasty Automotive before my appointment and specifically asked two questions: how much the A/C diagnostic would cost and how they would determine what was wrong with my vehicle. I was told the diagnostic would cost about $120 and that they would use a diagnostic tool to identify the problem. After waiting about an hour, I was told they could not diagnose the issue unless I first authorized a $471 A/C recharge, and that I should just let the Freon leak out to see if there was a leak. I was effectively left with two choices: pay about $120 for a "diagnostic" that would provide no diagnosis, or pay $471 for a Freon recharge without knowing whether it would fix the problem, just to continue the diagnosis. Feeling backed into a corner, I approved the recharge. Only after the recharge was completed was I told the evaporator was leaking and given a repair estimate of over $4,100. Later, I was told the dryer listed on the estimate was only a recommendation. What concerned me most were the inconsistent explanations. During my visit, I was told the leak had been identified using water from a water bottle. Later, I was told the recharge was necessary to identify the leak. Those two explanations cannot both be true. I requested a partial refund because I believe the need for a $471 recharge should have been disclosed when I specifically asked how the diagnostic would be performed. My request was denied.

As the noise and vibration got worse, my husband told me it was just the new tires. As it got worse and worse, I went back to the place where I got the new tires. I asked the owner to go with me and drive the car to see what he thought the problem was. Again I was told it was road noise. I knew my car had never had road noise like this. I took the car to Cody's Auto & Transmission. John explained this noise and vibration was probably coming from the transmission torque clutch. He very patiently explained what my options would be if this was indeed the problem. He said that since it was me who drove the car all the time, to not doubt myself when there was a issue. He did not talk down to me and made sure I understood what could be done initially and what would be the next step if the first recommendation didn't take care of it. I appreciate so most how patient he was in answering my questions. I got my car back today and it appears that his recommendation has worked. After the way John took the time with me, I will be returning to Cody's for routine maintenance and highly recommend the place for all future care of my car. Thank you so very much John!!!

Honest, capable, reliable, and successful repair!! What more could you want from a transmission…read moreshop??!! My 2008 Toyota Yaris transmission would randomly shift down or out of gear altogether, at between 35mph and highway speeds. Sometimes it would do this and sometimes it would behave properly. It was intermittent. So I didn't know if my tranny was toast and needed a $5000 replacement or could be fixed for reasonable cost. Oh yes, the Electric Power Steering in my Yaris would go in and out as well, separate issue. I brought it to Derek at Transmission Depot, and told him it was not a daily driver, so he could take as long as needed to diagnose and fix the found issues. Derek had team members drive it for errands to get it to misbehave, to assist in the diagnosis. Eventually they decided to replace the speed sensor and crankshaft position sensor. While they were doing that work, they found a couple ground wires to the transmission that needed cleaning up. They drove and tested it some more after those repairs. After another week or so, they decided it was ready for me to pick up. It was fixed!! Worked great and continues to work perfectly! For under $1000, Derek and the Transmission Depot team not only fixed my transmission random shift/slippage issue, but the intermittent electric power steering issue went away as well! Now both the transmission and the steering work perfectly and it's a reliable car again! Thank you Derek and the Transmission Depot crew!

There is nothing nice i can say about this shop. Not only…read moredid they do the work incorrectly. (Both front wheel bearings) - less than a month went by and they were already bad again. Same noise came back. Took it back to them - they claimed it was my transmission and not the work they did. 1st time. With an older vehicle it was not worth it to put in a USED $3500 transmission... so with this economy i told them ill just drive the car till it dies then. The noise got so bad I took my car to another shop who was able to tell me whoever touched my car last ALSO messed up my brakes, calibers, and routers. Cost to fix $1700. Immediately im upset, call martys back they tell me dont they get first dibs to take a look since they did the work. - ummm yes however you had that chance over a month ago. Feb was the first time martys worked on my car. March the noise came back. April this new shop was able to see whats wrong. So ran the car back over to martys who again claimed and put in writing - "theres no damage and there is a noise coming from the transmission". I inform the new shop of what martys is telling me and they basically screamed at me "IT'S NOT THE TRANSMISSION!". ok well what now? Still cant afford $1700 when its martys who caused all this damage and wont take responsibility. Finally I couldn't take the noise anymore. End of June took it to yet a 3rd shop! Who was able to diagnose - yup its the wheel bearings. Installed incorrectly- they were destroyed. So I collected all this evidence. All the invoices, photos, videos, written statement etc. Sent a demand letter which martys never replied to. So I guess leaving reviews is the only way to get thier attention. Not only was the 2nd repair even more expensive I LITERALLY HAD TO PAY TWICE FOR THE FRONT 2 WHEEL BEARINGS SINCE MARTYS bent 1 part of my vehicle so the fix was even more expensive the 2nd time around, they also grounded down another part. Both of which I had to replace. NEVER GO HERE. I thought w all this documentation written statements etc. Id be able to get my money back (which im due more since they cause more damage) but they think its cute to leave it unanswered showing bad faith. At this point I dont anticipate any money back from martys- sad very shady business. I ended up having to spend way more than $3500 due to thier negligence.

They checked my brakes, mentioned I had 10-15k more on them easily, why not wait. Amazing.
