After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last…read moreyear, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new stores and restaurants, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Brambleton Imports in Roanoke, Virginia, is the perfect example. After an incident I had with my first salesman there that caused me to loose his trust, I inquired among my friends, community leaders, and business owners, more in depth about their opinion of Brambleton Imports. Every single one of them had a positive opinion and wonderful impression of this car dealership that has been in business for around 30 years and who's founder and owner, Robert "Woody" Woodward, is still involved in its operation. With this excellent background about the business, I decided to return with a retired pilot who was a friend of a good friend of mine, and deal with another sales consultant. For in sales the customer is not owned. He has to be earned all the step of the way. And I am a firm believer of Relationship selling. "Relationship salesmanship, is a sales approach that prioritizes building trust and long-term relationships with customers over simply closing a deal. It involves understanding the customer's needs, offering tailored solutions, and fostering a genuine connection that leads to ongoing partnerships." This second time when we arrived, we found Sales consultant Danny, in his office and went to him. He did an excellent job in listening to both of us, in explaining what they had available at the time, and in taking us for a test drive, first of a Honda Accord and then of the 2022 Lexus ES 350 Luxury Edition, which I ended up purchasing cash, with my 5 years of savings and investing with this goal in mind. After all, I once taught at the university level a very popular course titled: "How to Make Your Money Grow." On the second day, I went to put together the deal. Danny gave me a copy of all the paperwork with the description of the Lexus and one with a photograph of it on top, and a breakdown of the costs and total payment I needed to have the check made. He also gave both my friend and I a Brambleton Imports cap. What is even better, he introduced me to Woody, the owner of the dealership, and wonderful person, who congratulated me for the ownership of my new car, and told me to come by anytime if I needed my car washed. On the third day, Danny understood that it would take some time to gather my high-interest savings and investments, together and transfer the amount to my Credit Union here. As a sign of good intention I wrote a deposit check for $1,000 and handed it to him. Today, we successfully finalized the deal, it was a win/win situation. He not only obtained my business, but what's even more important, my trust and my future referrals. And I received the beautiful Lexus of my dream. His delivery of my Lexus was exceptional. He showed me how some of the basics worked, connected my cellphone Bluetooth with the car, and programmed my home address.

I took my car here after getting a flat while driving on 220. Was greeted by Aldin and told him…read morethat while I was having the flat fixed I was interested in getting new tires all together. He took a look and told me he could do all 4 but I really only needed 3. It was refreshing to hear him be honest instead of just saying I needed all 4, because I for sure wouldn't have been able to tell!!! Decided on 3 and will come back for 4th. Asked him to also change oil, do an alignment and change an out head light. He asked me when I needed the car by and I asked him if it could be ready the following day? It's been my experience that car work takes a while! He said "Oh no, I mean when do you want it by today?" WHHAATT!? He quoted me a price and I was SO relieved with his quote because I figured it would be AT LEAST double. Also asked him to take a look at a window that was stuck down. He was extremely accommodating and listened to all of my concerns. I went to work and within a few hours he was calling with an updated. The work was almost completed but he had found another issue and told me where I would need to take it to be fixed, as it was a body issue that they did not do there. My car was ready by my lunch break another hour later! When I went to pick it up he showed me the body issue and explained it to a clueless car idiot like me and answered all my questions. I didn't end up getting the window fixed but they went above and beyond by taping it up for me until I do! Kathy then checked me out and explained everything that I was charged for and was so knowledgeable and warm that I just wanted to give her a big hug!! The whole team here, made what was potentially a very stressful and expensive day, easy and rather painless to my wallet! I will return for the window and my other tire soon and will make this my car repair and maintenance home! Thank you sooooo much to the whole team!!!

I called two nights ago to let them know I'd like to get a basic check up for a trip and that id be picking it up at 5pm. I dropped off my car last night and I arrived after work (they had over 8 hours to look at it). My car was still parked where I left it. IN 8 HOURS HAD NOT BEEN TOUCHED. The moment I showed up, their excuse was. They have been busy. NEVER AGAIN!

So, I took my truck in to Firestone and Matt ensured that my truck was addressed. They could not find the problem with the test drive, but they took it in and checked some other things and found issues with my front brake calipers. Other places would have said things were good and sent me away, but Matt took the extra time to fully check things out. Just a note: I'd taken my truck in earlier that week (Wednesday) and the other worker said they would take a look at it - but nothing had been done. I had called the following day and according to that guy, "your truck is next on the hook to be checked out." Still nothing. I went by the following day (Friday) and Matt was there. I told him about the other two encounters and he stopped what he was doing and had one of the other techs clear out a bay and got me right in. I know they are busy. Getting a state inspection is almost impossible there, but they do great work. I've been going here since 2015 and have no complaints on any of the work, the tires, and the labor. Pricing is reasonable. Matt is an excellent shop manager and would trust him with anything. When I went in to pay and pick up my truck, he told me to hold on a moment and brought out two of the brake pads and said that he saw they were cracked all the way through but showed me the sides and said had they not taken it apart they would not have been able to see them. So, someone who is as thorough as Matt was will always receive my business. I can't thank him enough. Firestone will always be my go-to for service.

She had a dead battery but her car sat for 2 months. The battery was newly purchased at Pep Boys in March. I was able to jump her car with some cheap ass jumper cables, but these "mechanics" told me their jump machine could not get the car started. Yes, that's right. Mechanics had no improvising in their bag of tricks. They did get the car started after 20 minutes. At that time, I told them just to back it out and put it in the lot and I would get it towed. I WOULD NEVER refer ANY OF YOU to these "mechanics". Cleatus from Dukes of Hazard would and COULD HAVE figured it out. STAY AWAY if you are smart.
