I arrived at 7:34 AM, expecting the store to be open as posted (7:30). After knocking with no response, I called and spoke with an employee named Mike, who I could see inside. He seemed annoyed, asked me to wait, and continued making coffee before finally unlocking the door at 7:38. He was polite once I was inside, but clearly not in a rush to assist. I went in last week due to some car issues. There were two young men running the place when I got there. Damien and another young man, I forgot his name. They were very professional, helpful and respectful. They were able to determine that I had a dying battery. They checked it, made recommendations, changed it and I was on my way. I reccomend this location. They seemed to be able to handle multiple customers as well and worked proficiently and effectively. I will be returning to this location. read more

Went to Advance Auto on 09 June 24 on 8630 US-301, Riverview, FL 33578 with an issue with my car battery which was still under warrantee. I explained to them that we had to jump the battery and that I had it on a charger that gave me a fault. They hooked it up to their worthless diagnostic and said then battery was good and they wouldn't warrantee it. After losing my cool, I took it a O'Reilly's. They did a proper diagnostic and found the battery had a bad cell. I paid around $250 for the battery at advance auto which was still on warrantee and had to buy another one from a O'Reilly's, again having to spend another $250 to replace a battery from Advance Auto that was less than a year old. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING, ESPECIALLY AUTO BATTERIES from Advance Auto. They have no clue or honor read more

I am The Car Idiot. I know my car is supposed to go, and beyond that if you told me anything was wrong and I need to pay exorbitant fees to fix it, I would agree with you. I am a full-sized car dummy. This place does not take advantage of my automotive stupidity. I apparently needed a battery for the wife's car, and they got me one for what seems a reasonable price. And then, of all things, the dude changed the battery in the parking lot. In Florida. IN JULY. I saluted him and gave him money even though this service is free. Say what you want - that guy was a trooper. The one big negative of this place is that it's an enormous pain in the ass to get in and out of; the only entrance/exit is through a school parking lot westbound on Boyette.
