The first visit to AutoZone in Louisa, VA. was great! The gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful and was able to put my new windshield wipers I purchased on my car. He was AWESOME! My second, and will be my last, visit was ridiculous. I, like most disabled people, absolutely HATE asking for help. We strive to be independent. So when we ask for help, it's seriously like important, right? SO, I purchased some items to include 2 seat covers. I asked that since there were 3 people on the registers and less than 3 in the store if one of them could help me put on the seat covers real quick. I was told, "No". I asked why and was told, "It's too time consuming." I said, "You've got to be kidding me". Nope. They wouldn't do it. SO, I went out and by my little handicapable self, was able to put those seat covers on in 6 min. 40 sec. Now, it DID put me in bed for 3 days due to the exertion, BUT it only took ME a short amount of time. I went back in (glutton for punishment) after I had put them on myself and told one of the guys (the one I spoke with was not there) how long it took me to put the covers on myself. He said, "Well then that's pretty good for you, right?" Not kidding. Now, I do NOT hold this guy responsible as he may and probably did not know exactly what had transpired, however, if I were someone working in the store, I sure would have wanted to find out what the hell was up with the pissed off disabled chic. That's just me...I had tried to explain it all to him, gave up pretty quickly. Oh well. FYI...called across the street to Advanced Auto Parts and was assured that had I gone there, they would have helped me with those seat covers.

The owner was there working in one of the bays. I fully expected him to send me home and say he would try and get to it tomorrow. NOPE, he said he would take care of it now. Took longer than expected and I tried to push my luck and ask him to give me a state inspection as well since mine had expired. He agreed and stuck around about an hour and 15 minutes past closing to help me out. I miss family owned businesses. Too few of them left. This guy was personable and very kind. I will be back and would highly recommend this shop. Small town values!!

Recently he replaced the timing belt for my sister on a VW Turbo Diesel (out of my purview) and had it done within the week and charged us less than half the Dealer quote and half of another. Knowing what these things entail, I have always given him a 'tip' of at least half what the Dealer would charge as I told him he is simply too cheap. * He is also very honest and will not do work when it would cost more than the car is worth AND he does not do extraneous work. He is the first to tell you, "you don't really need that." He has been in this shop at least 25 years and bought out his partner to become the owner many years ago. *He also does custom exhaust work too!

I brought the tires and trailer to the shop located just on the edge of town. This place is busy! The young lady working the desk was courteous and helpful. She did all the paperwork to get the work order started. They were quick. They had the tires mounted in no time at all. They have a customer area with coffee and a TV while you wait. When they were doing the tires we noticed I had a tail light not working. They installed a bulb - and checked the other lights !! Thats service. Their prices are great too. I found them very reasonable. The staff was awesome and friendly. Everyone was so helpful. They also do other automotive work. This place is a gem. I will definately give them my business in the future. They are friendly and do great work at reasonable prices! Check them out for tires or other repair needs. I am sure you will agree.

While the ladies at the front desk are helpful, there seems to be a communication gap with the shop floor and their local parts suppliers. After meeting Landon and Mike and having a nice chit chat with them about mods I have already had done to the car, I made known that my goal was to make right at 700 rwhp. I expressed that my thoughts were that I should be able to with no problem after my previous engine internal upgrades, but I fell short and was about to hit 678 rwhp. So coming to them for a a flex fuel install and e85 tune I felt that would get me to my goal. They told me to hold off on wanting to get the flex fuel installed and they can get me to the 700 rwhp I wanted just on pump gas. They said just needed 3 days for tuning and for drivability and reliable testing. After those 3 days and boom! I was about to get me to 735 rwhp. Exceed my expectations. My current tune wasn't bad, but it needed a few tweaks for improvement and ESP was able to do that. Landon and Mike both know these LT engines and knows performance. I will be back to get my headers wrapped to help reduce some of the heat under the hood. And I still might get them to install a flex fuel sensor and tune for e85 to get some more horsepower. Can never get enough horsepower from what I'm told. Lol! Oh, and these guys helped improved my drivability as well. Since the bigger cam upgrade on my '17 Whippled Camaro SS, drivability has been a little "off" but not to an annoyance. ESP has also fixed that. Drives like stock, but when hitting it, it feels like a beast!
