After making me wait for about 20 minutes, they finally bothered to bring the cart to my car, only to tell me that they could not do it because a bolt was under a plastic cover (side note, that bolt is easily accessible). I must mention again that the AAP website I used to buy the battery is clearly stating that the battery replacement and testing is available, for free, for my type of car (2011 Toyota RAV4). After filing an official complaint with the corporate customer service, the store manager called me, only to treat me worse than his employee. He was obnoxious, telling me that I am wrong, sarcastically congratulating me for being able to change the battery by myself (after making an unnecessary trip back home and another trip to the store to bring back the old battery, of course). He was constantly talking over me and cut the conversation short, refusing to admit that they are misleading customers with false advertisement, for services they are unwilling to provide, No surprise the employees are so unfriendly: shadow of the leader. Avoid this store.

They replaced my alternator at a very good price, and they were even willing to drive me home so I didn't have to wait in the waiting room. At the same time, I was having power steering issues. Shortly before my alternator died, I was at my local Subaru dealership for a safety recall, and I asked Subaru to look the power steering issue. They quoted me at $1000 for a power steering rack, plus an additional $1000 if I needed a new power steering pump. Needless to say, I didn't have Subaru fix it for me at that time. So, when I went to Knight's for my alternator, I asked them to look at the power steering issue, since they were working on my car anyway. Apparently, all I needed was a new power steering belt, which was about $100 for parts and labor, and it fixed my problem perfectly! I know dealerships tend to kill you on pricing, but $100 compared to $2000+? Come on. I also had a radiator hose burst on me this week, leaving me unable to drive to work. I dropped my car off as soon as they opened, and even though they were insanely busy, they had me on my way to work about 2 hours later. Everyone is super pleasant and polite. Hopefully I wont have any car issues for a while, but if I do, I'll surely be coming back to Knights.

This place is definitely one of the better parts store around and unlike the other chain stores Payless actually helps you to get what you need to keep your vehicle running. I find that the local A.Z. store is lacking and couldn't or wouldn't be able to help me locate even the simplest of Auto parts. This is not the case here at Payless. Street parking is difficult but they do provide their own parking lot to the left of the store. They are open 6 days a week.
