Anytime you have to call Corporate, it's not a good thing…read more I purchased a set of front brake pads online for pickup. Turns out an hour after I picked up the item, it was the brake pads in the REAR that needed attention. You would think that making an even exchange (swapping one item for another that is the same price) would be easy? Maybe at Target, or Walmart, or even (gasp) 7-11 it is. But here? Oh no. Not at all. Let me preface this by saying I used a combination of online credit and a debit card to pay for my initial purchase. When I went into the location, one particular employee (I won't doxx him on here) make it very obvious that it was a huge inconvenience for me to ask him to help me with my purchase. First, he tells me that they don't do exchanges. (After I spoke to Corporate, it turns out they don't.) He said they would process the return and I would have to make a whole new purchase. But.... when I asked him if I would receive my credit back to use it on the new set of pads, he rolled his eyes and said "Don't know". So at this point I'm going to have to pay full price, when I initially used a substantial credit in the first place. It was obvious to me that he just wanted me gone, so he could go back to doing whatever it was he was doing. (Nothing.) So I left, without the part I needed. I called Corporate and not only got my credit back, but got the order placed at another location, and it was cheaper too, even with the credit. This location? Not again. We'll see how the Skokie location is.

I ordered a metal polish online but didn't feel the website was sufficiently secure to pay online…read more When I arrived at the location (within an hour), they vehemently said that I had to purchase TWO to qualify for the price. They suggested re-ordering and paying online while I was at the sales counter but, again, their website did not seem secure as it kept returning to the homepage. The manager said there was nothing that could be done. Seriously????? Also, as Joe R. wrote, "When you ask someone for help, they act as thought you are inconveniencing them." Why does my address show as San Francisco?????
