Lost my breaks due to a broken brake line. Repaired the line but had to make an appointment to have…read morethe brakes bled. Made an am appointment on a Wed for Friday morning. Had AAA tow it to their shop. Got a phone call 7 hours later telling me that the breaks could not be bled because the break lines were leaking from anti lock to front breaks. And that it would take between 3 and 4 hours to replace @ $75 an hour plus tax Ok, I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, and I know my way around motor vehicles. Also It would not be ready until Monday. I said don't touch it and had it towed to another shop. There was a small leak at the anti lock. The mechanic put a wrench on it,bled the brakes and charged me $35 Oh and I forgot to mention when I picked the vehicle up at Jims auto center, I was charged $42.27 for a half hours labor. Do your self a favor and stay away from Jims auto center. They are shysters.

I took my truck in for an inspection, which it passed. After inspection the only way my tire could have come off is if the mechanic never tightened the lug nuts back on my tire, they flew right off. When I called to see if they could at LEAST fix the rotor and caliper the accident caused I was told no way this was our fault and they promptly hung up, when I tried to call back they would not answer the phone. I am very disappointed, I couldn t even get an apology. I liked this place but since they have been bought out its a mess. Some one could have been killed and not even an I m sorry very unprofessional.

I'm thrilled to write a 5-star review. Why? First of all, the tire store in Saratoga that has…read moreserviced 2 cars for many years complains regularly that they're too busy and can't fit me in. So I called Rowland St. and they said if I want to wait during the service, I could have an appointment in about 2 days. A few more minutes on the phone and it was set up. Also, their new building has a pleasant waiting area and pleasant, low-key staff. Have you had a jiffy oil change where they try to add on unnecessary services that you don't need? That didn't happen here. I explained what I was after, I pointed out something else I found, and I got good advice on how to resolve it. There was no upselling. Finally, I figured the service I needed would be outrageously expensive, so I researched to get a feel for what I was in for. IMHO, the final bill reflected a reasonable price for parts which I expected to be marked up obscenely. The labor, too, seemed fair for the task. In all it was a lot of money but it seemed appropriate after my worrying beforehand. I didn't expect to be saying this, but I'll probably be back for my next auto service.

What a horrible experience from a repair and customer service stand point. Originally went to…read morereplace front struts; instead inherited a myriads of problems. First, tools were left under the hood that they used. Sloppy and rushing. Recommendation was made to replace the back brakes. We trusted their expertise. Once installed, screws were left out and started to grind and make funny noises. Since we know about car repairs, we investigated to find these negligence. They did try to rectify, but they were not interested in standing behind their business name and make it right. We returned 3 times to address these concerns. They tried to address, but the damage was done. Mind you, we already spent thousands of dollars and still assumed the best to support local business. We are taking the truck elsewhere and have to spend extra money to get their unacceptable work done correctly. Read the inconsistency in the reviews. It's concerning when reviews have such dichotomy of extreme positive to negative. Consistency is key in any successful business.
