We had a very disappointing experience with this driving school, particularly their secretary, who I am told may also be an owner, and boasts that she has been in this business for 30 years - clearly she's burnt out and cranky. She does not have people skills and gives you false information over the phone. We paid for the 5-hour virtual driving course via this school, but we did not use their instructors. Upon completion of this course, I was told by my daughter's driving instructor (from another company) to call Adrian's driving school and get the course completion conf. # from them, so that he could book her Road test, while I awaited the physical copy which they were SUPPOSED TO MAIL ME, but we never received. The day of the test we thought we had all the paperwork in order, with the conf. # that she had completed the 5-hour course. When we realized we needed the physical certificate, I immediately drove to the driving school for my hard copy (which i was willing to pay for a 2nd time - no questions asked) but you must know that Adrian's driving school posts their hours of operation as 8-5, but what they don't tell you is that THEY ARE VIRTUAL NOT IN THE OFFICE. So you see, if you lose a certificate or plain never received one like I did not, THEY CANNOT HELP YOU! Now, when I spoke with this woman (again Adrian's wife or relative ) she told me that IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE THAT I NEVER RECEIVED MY DAUGHTER'S CERTIFICATe, how that statement could be true I don't understand, was it mailed to me CERTIFIED? No it was not. She then went onto say that she had no idea what Conf # I was talking about, trying to make it look like I had nothing to stand on, despite my receipt from my daughter having taken their course. So when I reviewed my text messages with my daughter's driving instructor, I saw that I texted him on a specific date, saying that I had just gotten off the phone with this "secretary/owner" and SHE HERSELF had given me the conf. # of completion for my daughter's course, which I had in my phone. Personally, I believe that she just had no interest in helping me. She was rude and unprofessional. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS DRIVING SCHOOL! I am told by my daugher's driving instructor that this school has done this to other students of his. PLEASE USE CROWN DRIVING SCHOOL in Yorktown hts.- you won't be disappointed! read more

My son had a wonderful experienced and said the tips were extremely helpful. He enjoyed them so much and said how worth it they were. I've lived my whole life in the city and after moving up to northern Westchester from Brooklyn, I realized how impossible it was to survive without being able to drive. I started with the 5 hour course at Adrian's Driving School. It was an pretty straightforward 5 hours of the logic/reasoning behind the rules of the road, distractions while driving, and surprisingly, involved a little bit of high school physics. I was expecting to passively sit through the 5 hours on a Saturday but Adrian, who led the course was engaging and quizzed us every so often to make sure we were understanding and paying attention. After that, with the help of Natalie, the office manager, she scheduled me for all of my lessons for the next 5 months (once a week/more or less). Try to book at least one week (realistically, two weeks) ahead of time because the school is very busy. If you don't live close to Mount Kisco, you could ask to book a 1.5 hour lesson instead of an hour. Natalie managed all of my lesson pick-up locations, road tests, lesson reminders, and would call me back when a more preferable time opened up in their schedule. I've had lessons primarily with Adrian, but also with Mike and Luis. They were all excellent teachers. Adrian taught the 3-point turn and the parallel parking in a simple and straightforward way (pretty much down to a formula) and as a new fearful adult driver, Adrian always led with professionalism, a lot of patience, and clear instructions. Every lesson started and ended on time. I appreciate how honest and upfront they were the entire process of passing the road test, and about the cost of lessons. They never tried to push any package or deal, and never made any promises. I'm happy to report, after a lot of self-doubt and about five months worth of lessons, I was able to pass my road test on my first try this week! If you asked me 6 months ago, I would have told you I had a slim to no chance but now I'm waiting for my driver's license to come in the mail! This is not the place to go. Go to Golden Crown in White Plains instead, which is the operation that helped my oldest daughter train and pass her test! These folks messed up the scheduling and then blamed us, taking our money and refusing over the course of several phone calls to give back advance monies paid for lessons throughout the remainder of the month. They insist on hefty upfront payments, preferably in cash they say (why?). They are disorganized, don't return phone calls, the customer appears to be always in the wrong and they have serious attitude. The woman on the phone told me she doesn't make mistakes. Really? You've never made a mistake? I guess if you have time and money to burn and are willing to roll the dice and see if they show up on the right day, this might be the place for you. Update: They "made an exception" even though "I was clearly in the wrong" and also "a liar" and sent back the balance of the lesson fees within a week, but not without multiple additional phone calls in which I was offered the money back only AFTER I removed the unflattering Yelp review. If I was not otherwise busy enough with four kids and a full time job, I'd find this amusing, since I was told originally that I would 1) not get my money back and 2) they didn't care if I wrote an unflattering review. read more

I'm from the UK originally and had been driving a number of years - but clearly on the 'wrong' side of the road...despite this I found Adrian's driving school to be excellent. Not only did they accommodate my busy schedule - they were clear and upfront about the process/costs and the instructor who gave me a lesson just before the test was excellent. He made me relax, really focused on the bits that differed from the UK driving test - and more importantly gave me practical advice on what to look out for/hints and tips. Had a terrible experience with the scheduling agent who was not willing to work w me. Also very dismissive about the online course I took. She basically said they are very busy and couldn't help me in this case. I don't feel they're very collaborative and friendly, and don't want to help the student work out the issue. read more

My son just passed his road test and we owe it all to Ed Margenat from Adrian's Driving School. Ed was one of the most patient, detailed and most competent driving school instructor in all of Westchester County. My son took drivers education through his H.S. but the pandemic and college delayed him taking his test sooner. Ed not only helped my son go over what he had learned before but he took it to another level. My son couldn't believe how Ed didn't just show him how to pass a 5 minute test on a empty local street but most importantly how to drive in real life situations ie congested streets and eventually a parkway. Ed gave my son the tools and most importantly the confidence in how to really drive a car. Unlike other driving schools, Ed determined just how many lessons he needed opposed to just pushing a certain package to make money. The bottom line is that with driving instructors like Ed Margenat, I will continue to recommend my friends who's children are driving eligible at all of the high schools in Westchester County as well as all of my co-workers in law enforcement to use Adrian's Driving School. The best driving shcool ever! When I Moved in Westchester I needed to get my american license. After passing through other driving schools this one was the best. I was surprised to constate that they knew the European sistem as well as the american one, which helped me a lot to understand fast what is different in USA. Very honest instructors who challenges himself to make you go as fast as you can. I would recommend this school for an intelligent approach and very honest instructors. In addition they have this comparative knowledge between differents state driving lesence which is very important especially for those who convert european driving licence or other american states. read more

Excellent!!! I moved 3 months ago from the city in the suburbs...of corse, i needed my licence because in suburbs you need to drive everywhere. I found "Adrian's driving school" on yelp. When i called (after talking to Adrian 10-15min in english, i found out he's romanian just like me!) And talked to Adrian i knew thats the perfect place for me. Natalia (his wife) scheduled my hours around my schedule and she was always very nice every time i spoke with her (on the phone). Adrian has everything you need to learn how yo drive. He is very, very patient, explains everything so well (parallel parking was so easy if you fallow his technique ), punctual, serious and very very reliable. Today i had my road test and i passed (first try). If you are looking for a driving school, this is it! I would recommend it to everyone who wants to learn how to drive fast and well! I passed my road test earlier this week on Monday on my first attempt. We have recently re-located from Hong Kong to New York and while I have had a fair bit of driving experience in Asia, driving in the US was totally new to me and not easy at all getting accustomed to driving on a different side of the road, three point turns etc etc etc. I first came across Adrian's driving school as a recommendation from a friend for my 5 hour mandatory driving course. The simplicity and forthrightness of everyone in this place absolutely amazed me. They talk real stuff and teach you real stuff. My theory lessons were predominantly with Adrian but Susan who works with Adrian had dropped by on the weekend and that's where I got acquainted to Susan and later took my driving lessons and eventual road test under Susan's guidance and coaching. It is not often you come across such good folks who are genuinely invested in helping you achieve the outcome you want. Susan was almost personally involved and invested in coaching me, pointing out areas I need to focus on, words of encouragement with the occasional slap on the wrist. I just called Andrian's Driving School to schedule a driving lesson for my daughter. First all, a women who answered the phone was very rude with deep breathing told me there were only one schedule on 10/13 is available between 10/9 to 10/26. She told me I will have to pay now for the appointment. I said ok. After checking my address, she told me the instruction was not available to come to my house to take my daughter. I told her ok and I can meet the instructor half way. When I asked her where should we meet? She told me not to keep asking questions and I talked too fast. As a customer, I am a fair person to deal with. I do not need someone to give me a lecture about how I talk. My attitude was nice and she is not. I just wanted my question answer before I gave my money to them. She hang up on me after I ask her to answer my question. My suggestion: If you have bad day, do not apply to the customer. I do not need to suffer your attitude. Terrible experience to deal with! read more
