Special props to the side salad with cheese and French dressing and as many crumbled club crackers as you can pile on. It's the perfect bright, tangy, sweet, acidic (thanks to the fresh diced tomatoes), and crispy palate-preparer for the gloriously decadent pizza that's headed your way. The pizza. What can I say about the pizza. Crispy? Yes. Creamy? Thanks to the standard generous cheese treatment, absolutely. Perfectly sauced? They should teach every other pizza joint the right sauce approach, because it's somehow perfect every time. Toppings? Only the most impeccable quality, you can't go wrong, though my favorite is the mushroom, hands down. Please go here, life is too short to not experience this pizza. You deserve it.

I wanted to post a review on Yelp because it is now my favorite pizza in Springfield. The crust is soft and chewy with that slightly charred taste that only a brick oven can impart, and the toppings are fresh and well balanced. I can't wait to eat their pizza again. As of this review, they park at the Greater Springfield Farmers Market (in the parking lot of the Battlefield Mall) on Saturdays from 8:00-1:00 and at the Ozark Downtown Farmers Market (in Ozark, MO) on Wednesday from 4:30-7:30. I recommend checking their Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/remospizzeria, for more details.

In fact they tasted better than many sit down restaurants. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. All the ingredients were fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection. I recommend the Dalmatian with Italian sausage. The only thing that is kind of different is their marketing has a dog, on a pizza with bicycle pedals. If the operation were to grow I would recommend branding that would identify quality with Remo's because that is their greatest strength.

Big Slice Pizza in Republic is what I can only describe as a chain restaurant that secretly trained…read morein New York and came back acting humble about it. You walk in thinking, "Alright, this is gonna be solid, predictable pizza," and then boom--your slice shows up looking like it was handcrafted by a guy named Tony who yells a lot and has strong opinions about dough fermentation. The crust? Perfect balance of crispy and chewy--like it's been hitting the gym but still eats carbs. The sauce has just enough sweetness and tang to make you question every bland pizza decision you've ever made. And the cheese? Generous. Not stingy. Not "corporate portion-controlled sadness." We're talking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles level cheese pull. Honestly, this has to be the kind of pizza Leonardo and the boys were risking it all for. You take one bite and suddenly you're like, "Yeah... I get it. I too would fight crime all night for this." Only reason it's not a full 5 stars: the atmosphere still feels a little "we have a regional manager," when the pizza itself is screaming "family-owned spot where someone's uncle is definitely in the back arguing with the oven." Bottom line: if you want pizza that tastes like it came out of a 90s TMNT cartoon but with modern-day consistency, this is your spot. Cowabunga, dude.

I am fortunate enough to live right down the street from this place, and its pizza has been one of…read moremy favorite comfort foods. The ingredients are fresh, thrown together as you watch, and the staff is friendly. There are a number of "pre-set" pizzas that can be easily customized by removing one topping and adding another (for instance, hold the Italian sausage, add salami instead), and they also keep a number of the more popular pizzas pre-made for instant availability. The baking process is very simple: take it home, remove the cellophane wrap, pre-heat, and bake. To save time, you can call ahead, pre-heat the oven as you leave to pick it up, and pop it in when you get back. The pizza comes on its own baking tray so there is no need to worry about pizza stones and the like. Once you are ready to eat it, the pizza is remarkably tasty--and compared to the price of comparably-sized restaurant pizzas, it is a huge bargain! At $10-$12 for a "family-sized" pie, you get at least twice as much pizza as you would get from a flat cardboard box at that price--and there is no worry about it cooling down in the time it takes to reach you. You could make a fresh pizza yourself, of course, but this saves a lot of time--and a fresh Papa Murphy's is much better than a grocery frozen. Papa Murphy's also has a customer loyalty, buy multiple pizzas and get the next one free program. They always have one of their pizza varieties on sale for $2 off, and there is a coupon for $2 off your next pizza on the baking instructions that come with your current pizza. And because it is an unbaked food, they are able to accept food stamps. My only complaint is that their smaller pizza sizes are not priced as economically as their large family-sized--and nothing larger than a medium would fit on my Presto Pizzaz 12" rotary pizza cooker. But as cheap as their family-sized ones are, I don't have a problem with powering up my oven for a family-sized Papa Murphy's every now and then--especially since I can eat for several days on the leftovers.
