My dress pickup was unfortunately not the dream moment I had hoped it would be. I almost had a panic attack. The shop apologized and was able to locate and switch it out for my actual dress, so I understand that mistakes happen. What was much more concerning to me was the sizing and fit of the dress. My bust measurement was 34" at the time of purchase, but the dress size I received had a 40" bust in a corseted top. I understand that my dress was ordered in a larger size to accommodate my hips, but I was never informed that this would mean having such a significant difference in the bust or that it could be extremely difficult to alter. I ended up taking the dress to my seamstress multiple times to get it to fit properly. While we were eventually able to make it work, the cups and corset were still larger than I ideally would have wanted, and it was a stressful and expensive process during an already stressful time. My biggest takeaway for other brides is to be sure to thoroughly discuss sizing and alterations with the bridal shop before placing your order. If your measurements require sizing up for one area of the dress, ask how that will affect the fit in other areas.. especially with structured or corseted dresses that may be difficult to alter. I wish this had been explained to me upfront. I ended up having my seamstress add capped sleeves and a custom veil- overall the look came together but the experience overall was kind of like a rollercoaster.

For my first time trying on wedding dresses, I could not have made a worst decision than going to…read morethis shop. TLDR: 1. Associate rushes you through the process, even has a timer that goes off to remind you of the 5min warning. 2. Associate pushes you to buy off the rack, almost makes it seem like it's not worth their time to order a new dress for you. 3. Associate allowed a random party to come into your private, timed, appointment. 4. Associate has very uncomfortable conversations with you in the dressing room. I had never looked at wedding dresses before and was very curious on about the styles that are offered. I informed the associate I wanted a simple dress; she showed me a selection of about 6 so we picked 2. As I waited for my sister to arrive, I continued to look through their selections. But as I continued to browse their options, the associate kept reminding me that usually brides only try on 1-2 to "decide" what style they liked so she heavily recommended I do that before picking out anything else. I agreed with her, but since my sister hadn't arrived yet, looking was my only option. I wasn't going to try on any dresses on without my sister present. She would tell me she's not rushing me but also rush me at the same time. She told me at least 3 times, this recommendation to not select anymore out. Once again, I did not want to start trying on dresses without my sister. In the midst of my private appointment, she let a group of 4 women in to "look really quick." She had a full conversation with them. When my sister arrived, it was so uncomfortable that she had to kick them out and ask them to leave. I was concerned I'd have to come out in a wedding dress with people I didn't even know looking at me. If I signed up for a shared space, I would not have minded. But given this place only allows private appointments, I find it very unprofessional. Regardless of waiting for my guest, it was inappropriate. The associate is very good at reminding you of the 60min appointment. Considering, she gave about 10 minutes of it to another party, I was even more offended when she had an alarm with a 5-minute warning. She thanked me for "letting them in." However, she never asked me if it was appropriate. As my sister inquired about a dress I was interested in and the timeline to order it, the associate went on a tangent about the European designers they work with, how exclusive they are, and that celebrities come all the way to their shop to buy these wedding dresses. She wouldn't give me an exact timeline of when the specific dress would arrive if we ordered. She was more interested in pushing me to buy off the rack and emphasizing to me the $500-$600 I would save. She informed me that unless I'm "serious" about buying a dress, the bridal shop will not "bother" the designer. From the moment stepping into the bridal shop, the associate gave me a lot of compliments. When my sister arrived, she also gave her compliments. As her and I got into the dressing room, she continued the compliment that both my sister and I look like "dolls" and continued to ask me what ethnicity I am. I am Chinese. To which she informed me "she can't ever tell." The compliments continued about my hair being so long and beautiful, but also that she lost a lot of her own hair and it was difficult to grow back. She then reminded me to "enjoy it" while I had all this hair. Though I understand the nicety of making a bride feel beautiful, the entire conversation was so bizarre. I felt so uncomfortable being in a tiny dressing room with her. My sister was 20 minutes late to the appointment. In no way is that the associates fault. I did not expect her to accommodate for that. I did not need more than 30mins to try on the 4 dresses. It was the entire experience that was rushed. There was no breathing room to look at the options in their showroom. How she talked to me was rushed. How she presented options to me was rushed. How she informed me that certain dresses I was looking at is $3K when she never asked me about a budget. Overall, regardless of being liking one of the dresses, I hated my time there. I am disappointed that that was my first experience trying a wedding dress and that's the service I received.

She kept bringing in lots of options, we were able to create my dream dress!! My dress came in a week later than was expected. I scheduled a dress alteration appointment with Feri at the same boutique. I came into my fitting and was told my extra fabric for sleeves that I ordered with the dress had been forgotten to be added in with the dress order and would only arrive the following week. During that appointment we talked about the sleeves I wanted and Feri took some extra fabric she had and made an example of the sleeves I wanted. She didn't pin anything or make any notes but told me to come in the following week and my dress sleeves would be made and we can alter if needed. The next Tuesday I get a half day off from work and drive over to lake Oswego which is 50 mins from my house to find out my appointment wasn't actually scheduled, Feri accidentally scheduled a different girl and made her dress instead of mine. Mistakes happen and I totally understood that and we rescheduled to the soonest appointment she had which was Saturday a week before my wedding. During that appointment she quickly had me try on my dress because she said her next client is coming in soon. She asked me what sleeves I wanted which was kinda weird because we talked about sleeves the previous appointment and I would assume she wouldn't forget because she was supposed to have them done for this appointment but I thought she must have forgotten so I showed her the sleeves I wanted with the extra fabric that came in already. She told me it was going to be hard to make those type of sleeves and showed me some other options we could do that would be less work since my wedding was so soon. I told her that I wanted the original sleeves I showed her last appointment and she continued to tell me that she wouldn't be able to create that look for me which during the appointment before she stated that was very possible. She kept pushing me to choose a sleeve because her next client was already waiting.. I didn't want to settle on sleeves I didn't want so I told her I can take the dress home and try to talk it over with my mom ( my mom does some basic sewing) and come back Saturday at 1pm for my appointment. Saturday morning at 11 I get a message from Feri stating that she's going home from the boutique and that she assumes I am not coming to my appointment. I assumed maybe she thought my appointment was at 11 and I didn't show up so she was going home. I texted her back and said my appointment is at 1pm to which she replied she wasn't going to attempt my wedding dress and she already wasted 3 appointments on me and didn't figure anything out therefore she's going home and won't be there when I come in at 1pm for my appointment as scheduled . I was very frustrated.. I ended up emailing Katie the owner of the shop of what happened to which she stated she will talk to Feri but I still never got any news back from her. Feri did message me saying to not to email katie. It's a week before my wedding and no bride should go through this ever.. I feel like I am a very understanding person and it sucks that this situation happened but this should have been dealt with in a different manner. Id appreciated if she tried to get me in sooner and actually attempted to figure out my sleeves since it was her mistake of scheduling my appointment wrong in the first place and finishing another girls dress when my dress was supposed to be finished instead..

Changing my review to 3 stars I have been on the hunt for a fancy engagement party dress. I went into Anna's bridal not expecting to find what I was looking for. sure enough they had so many options. Katie, who was helping us, was beyond helpful. She was so patient and had great suggestions. Can't wait to go back for my actual wedding dress! thank you Anna's bridal.
