Faith was the best consultant I could ever ask for! I was in for my very first appointment to shop for a dress in mid 2025 and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. I had a great consultant, I found a dress, and I never once felt uncomfortable as a plus size shopper (which was my biggest stress point). Faith did an excellent job narrowing down what would be perfect for me by asking questions in order to get me to articulate why I did or did not like something, helped me into all the dresses without any hesitation, and found dresses that were flattering for me. Best of all, there was way more in my budget of $800 max than I ever expected! Faith also was great at making on the fly alterations to the dresses to either make straps fit better, adding petticoats to make the dress fuller, clipping unwanted fabric out of the way as needed, etc. - thank you for all you do! I also had an amazing experience picking up my dress after having it altered; the pockets were laying a little weird with the dress on and they fixed it on the spot in about 20 minutes for me. I've been to this David's Bridal twice in the last six months--once to buy my own wedding dress and again last week with my best friend. Unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing. The store itself was messy both times. It genuinely made me wonder if they own a vacuum. It also left me questioning the quality of the dresses. The zipper on my wedding dress split completely in half on my wedding day, and I ended up being held together with safety pins that proceeded to stab everyone who hugged me. Thankfully, I'd bought a reception dress on Amazon as a backup! Fast forward to last week. While my best friend was trying on dresses, our consultant (I believe her name was Lilly--she had two first names) was incredibly rude. She was helping her "really good friend" who was also trying on dresses at the exact same time as my friend. She was pushy with our group, constantly complimented the other bride, and didn't say a single kind thing to my best friend. The moment that really stood out was when she was fluffing my friend's dress. Her friend walked out in another gown, and she literally dropped my friend's dress onto the floor and walked away to help her instead. Why was she assigned to two brides at once--especially when one was clearly her personal friend? She shouldn't have been juggling two appointments in the first place. Honestly, we would've had a better experience if she'd simply left us alone. At the end of the appointment, we wanted to put one of the dresses on hold for a few hours, and somehow that became a confusing ordeal for multiple employees. The entire experience felt disorganized from start to finish. Overall, this location felt dirty, poorly managed, and far from welcoming. Spent a few hours here with a small group while my friend tried on (and eventually bought!) wedding dresses. Faith helped us and she was so friendly and knowledgeable. The bride said she loved her at one point! They had a good selection of dresses and we were surprised that they had several that were fairly affordable. I wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU to Kelly and Stephanie for going so above and beyond at my alteration appointment today. I brought in a wedding dress that I purchased elsewhere and it needs a ton of alterations. I also had my two kids with me (4 and 3 months), so I was really nervous about getting through the appointment since it's more of an adult environment. These two ladies were exceptional. Stephanie even pushed my stroller back and forth for me and was chatting with my son while Kelly pinned my dress. And Kelly was professional but kind and made me feel like the alterations I was worried about were absolutely no big deal! The pricing was totally reasonable and they're able to get my dress done in time for my wedding that's only about 40 days away. I got my wedding dress as David's Bridal and I'm happy with my dress but I didn't love the shopping experience. I had already browsed online and knew my budget and had some dresses in mind I wanted to try on. I really did not like having a "stylist" babysitting me. I didn't want to describe types of dresses I was looking for or get suggestions. I would have preferred to just ask for help if I needed it. I didn't like having a random stranger watching me try on dresses and give me her feedback. This store also didn't have a mirror inside the dressing room, so the first time I got to see myself was at the same time as my guest and this strange woman... I don't know if they make commission but I absolutely don't think this stylist should get anything for "helping" me because I had seen the dress I chose online and found it in the store myself. I want to begin by saying that the dress portion of my wedding was by far stressing me out the most.. that was until I met Emma. I gave her a price range, and a very vague style that I was interested in and when I say she knocked it out of the park I mean it. She brought 3 fantastic dresses; one was actually a little out of my comfort zone but I loved it. She also went above and beyond by connecting with my maid of honor and myself about a show we all loved. It made the experience so fun and relaxed. I found my dream dress, my dream shoes, and my dream veil. Emma had an impeccable attention to detail, sense of humor, and personality that you need for these situations. I was far below my very low budget with everything I could have dreamed of. I want to also give a special mention to Elizabeth who was the cherry on top of everything. She was so kind and bubbly while we were leaving. She gave us an informed rundown of realistic timeframes if I choose to do any alterations and other small details that in the excitement I had forgotten to ask Emma about. Stylist had no knowledge of store policies. Did not know how to measure. No knowledge of inventory. Kept having to ask other people to answer any questions. Didn't listen to style requests. Kept bringing dresses that I specifically said I hated. I told her to not bring anything over budget and she kept bringing dresses that were over. Then eventually just said they didn't have any other dresses to try. Floor was dirty and covered in glitter. The majority of the dresses had ripped fabric and damage to them. I have ordered 2 dresses through them. The first dress came in defective. The second dress was ordered almost 2 months ago (available online in-stock) and I am still waiting. I regret purchasing both dresses through them and would go somewhere else. Edit- I picked up the new dress that was ordered and stitching from this one is coming out as well! Such an uncomfortable experience, and I have never felt less welcome in a store. I came in looking for a bridesmaid dress and right out the gate about half of the options were not available and a good portion of others I was told "might" get here in time for a wedding 2 months out. No guarantees, but I would need to pay upfront. I was given a few options to try on and didn't see the person who was supposed to have helped me until I had tried everything, and was back in my street clothes about to leave. She couldn't offer me any solution to finding a dress other than apologizing, and I ended up leaving 20 minutes into an hour long appointment. If you aren't going to be able to help me, why waste my time? What is the point of scheduling an appointment if I am not going to get any assistance during that time? And finally, why advertise dresses on your website if they are not actually available? There are over 100 styles of dresses on your website but only about 6 that could have potentially gotten here in time. read more

Out of the entire wedding planning process, shopping at David's Bridal was the worst, most emotionally draining and unwelcoming experience of them all. I arrived for my first appointment and was immediately told my "stylist" was going to be helping me and another girl as well, which would have been fine, if she did help me, however my "stylist" stayed with the other girl the entire time, bringing her dresses, clipping her in, laying out the train, etc. I brought help with me so even that could have been swept under the rug, but then we were told we only have 5 minutes left of our "appointment time" and we had to come back another day to keep trying on dresses. The following 2 visits I made to try on dresses, the employees continuously made remarks about my inability to choose, they were upset when they kept bringing me dresses that clearly didn't match my style, and every single employee seemed to be tasked with getting me to purchase a dress and gtfo as soon as physically possible. I finally caved in and bought a dress I wasn't totally happy with, and it arrived fast and early, but at the alterations appointment suddenly the cost of the alterations had tripled from what they quoted me when I purchased it. Asked about returning the dress, they gave me every other option in the book and told me to come back next week to try on more dresses to exchange it, didn't tell me I had 7 days to return it until after I specifically asked. I returned the dress the same day over the phone, they dropped the call twice and when I called back the lady snappily told me after 10 minutes of hold music she was still looking for my information (it took them SECONDS to look up my information in store in front of my face). I asked if I would be or could receive any sort of confirmation for the return through email or a text or anything, and the lady told me "I can save the receipt here and you can come pick it up yourself." TL:DR - Pushy, rude employees all around, very unwelcoming and impatient staff. (ONE girl who was helping me was very sweet and very kind, but I only saw her once if i remember correctly) Selection was sparse to put it nicely, I was told I couldn't take the dresses off the rack myself (none of the staff was available to help me) to "keep them in good condition" however the dresses had nasty yellow (sweat?) stains, frayed stitching, nothing worth "preserving in good condition". You arent gonna get any value for your money here, not in dresses, not in service, not in alterations, just don't go here unless you don't care what you look like on your wedding day. read more

This Rating is for two separate times I visited this store. 1. I Bought 5 matching bracelets as gifts for my bridesmaids here. They were unique, rose gold, and the girls loved them. The lady had to order the fifth one from another store for pick up another day since they only had 4 on hand But that was fine. The gal packaged them nicely and was very helpful. 2. I Dropped off my wedding dress, that I bought from another store, to be cleaned and preserved. The lady at the register made time to tell me about the process and I was all for it. You fill out a form with your address and what you'd like to have cleaned. It gets put into a bag and then boxed up in a big usps box. You can add any other items you'd like to have cleaned as well but I only had my dress. You can even customize the box. I opt not to. I didn't think I'd want to keep my dress at first but then I decided to pay the $99.95. That's total. no surprises. She said it used to be $149? The lady taped it up securely and off I went with it to the nearest usps store. The place is located in Texas and the Warentee is 30 years! I Got a receipt just in case. She really did the hard work. My Package was rec'd sooner than expected! It's nicely packaged in a big box now. Maybe 3' tall. I'm glad I did this so it won't yellow or sit in the back of my closet. Now its in a box... I have to update my review and it has nothing to do with the lady who helped me because she was great. My issue is this: 1. I spent nearly $1,400 and they don't offer anything to customers other than a drinking fountain by the bathrooms. When I go to Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., even to the salon for a pedicure...they offer drinks, or at the very least a bottle of water. To spend all that time and money at the store, they really should cater more to customers. 2. Speaking of not catering to customers and not offering anything...they charge you $10.99 for a garment bag!! I was shocked when I picked up my $1,200 dress and was told I could purchase a bag for it! Of course I bought one, and David's Bridal knows this, because I couldn't leave the store with my dress exposed to the weather and to my fiancé who can't see it before the wedding. I find that extremely tacky and a very cheap tactic for a quick $10. 3. When I picked up my dress no one went over it with me, no one did any quality control, and I was sent on my way. I'm glad it was the right color and size, but they couldn't care less. The dress itself had a needle sewn into it that I had to carefully figure out how to remove. I would recommend going to any local bridal boutique that pampers you during this special moment and values you as a customer before you go here. Today my daughters and I met with Jordan for a bridal fitting appointment and had a truly wonderful experience. Jordan asked my daughter about her vision and then brought out a lovely assortment of choices. Jordan is extremely knowledgeable about the styles, fabrics, fit, and all else, and is fun to work with! One gown was absolutely PERFECT in every way and we were given the choice of either ordering one or going home with the one that she tried on so we chose to buy that one, which appears to be brand new. My daughter is delighted to have found her dream dress! The store is spacious and has an excellent selection as well as a wide range of prices. Mask wearing is mandatory and they had sanitizer available as well. We felt very safe throughout the entire store. Everyone who works there has been extremely friendly and professional and I also must mention that I had contact on the phone with Chad twice and in person today and was helped very much during all three contacts. The suit I wanted was no longer available in stores, so I ordered it online. I called the store's alterations department 1st because I'm a size 16, but only 5'3". When my package arrived, I made the 1 1/2 hr trip to Portland to do some other errands. When I called David's, I soon realized how busy they were with all the alterations, (it's prom time!), but she fit me in and pinned up my pants and jacket so quickly!!! I came here to look for dresses for my out of town bridesmaids. I was a bit hesitant since David's bridal only recently got out of bankruptcy but the store was in a much better state than I expected. The good was that I was able to get help right away and answers to questions regarding whether corona virus will delay dress shipment. I liked that most dresses were available in a variety of sizes and colors. The associate I talked to was helpful at showing me color swatches. I liked the styles I saw and the variety of reasonably priced options. Since we live in a digital age and a lot of people have out of town bridesmaids I wish there were better places in the store to photograph dresses. It was really awkward, the dresses kept falling and cell phone reception was really bad. A lot of my texts -- even ones that were just words and no photos -- took multiple tries before they went through. So if you are a bride who needs to text or FaceTime out of town decision makers so they can see your dress, you may have a really hard time getting in touch with them. Also the associate who was working with me abandoned me for a group of people. I get it -- they are more likely to make a purchase. However I wish that they would have made it more clear if someone was going to come back or where to go with questions. That would give me more information which would make it more likely that I'd recommend that my friends and family buy from David's Bridal instead of other chains we are considering. I wished more of the flower girl dresses had sleeves. Also some of the flower girl dresses were more expensive than the bridesmaids dresses and that really surprised me. read more

If planning a wedding wasn't crazy enough, a couple weeks ago two of my bridesmaids let me know they forgot to order their dresses. Best part? The deadline had passed. Also, I live in NC and the girls were in Wa. Stressed, I started calling Davids Bridal in both states, trying to get some help. Both NC and Wa, were less than helpful. I ended up calling this Davids Bridal, Annah and Jamie (I think thats her name), were amazing. They ended up listening to my dilemma and talking me through my options. They were SOOOO knowledgeable!!! I was also shocked since they suggested, due to the nature of my issue, that I order through my local DB. Which meant they wouldn't be receiving credit for the sale. I was surprised, its not often sales associates are that caring about their customer that they put my needs in front of their own. We weren't able to resolve my issue that night, mostly because it was so late. However, using the information they had provided me, I was able to call my local DB and the dresses were ordered! If it wasn't for them, I'd still be running around different stores trying to find an imitation, sad that my girls weren't going to match. But now, we have cohesiveness and I can be relaxed knowing they will look fabulous in their matching gowns. read more

My advice: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DAVID'S BRIDAL!! I purchased a dress from the Clackamas, Oregon David's Bridal store. Someone else picked it up and drove it 6 hours to bring it to me at the wedding venue. When we took the dress out of the bag, we found drip marks down the front of it and torn stitching on the bodice. The dress was used. I had to clean and repair it to be able to wear it to the wedding. The following Monday I called the store Manager, Abby, to tell her about it. She refused to even consider the facts. At that time she told me that she "could guarantee that she would refuse to do anything about it at all. That I had worn the dress, and that voided any options." I did not have any choice but to wear the dress though. I received the dress at 10 pm the night before the wedding. I had to wear it. I took pictures that are date and time stamped to reveal the damage prior to me wearing the dress. True to her first conversation, David's Bridal is backing their store manager up. They refuse to refund any amount of the retail price. There you have it...David's Bridal's official motto: "We do not care about the customer or the truth. We just want your money." I have 3 more children who will be getting married within a few years. I will NEVER spend one more cent at David's Bridal EVER. read more
