The DDO store. i bought 4 packages of fresh rib steaks "on sale" on July 25. I froze all of them immediately. We Bar-b -qued 1 package July 28 and found them to be extremely tough. The worst rib steaks I ever bought. I tried to return the rest on July 29. ( I rarely return anything) The CSR refused the return citing first a 7 day return policy and then changing that to a 3 day return policy on meat etc. My understanding from their printed (French only) sheet pinned on the wall, was that acceptance of the return was discretionary. There is very poor customer service at this store and the quality of their beef is extremely low. read more

On September 7, 2024, I was at Adonis Laval and the guy in the fish section was serving an order with his bare hands. A year ago, the same guy was at the bbq chicken and was also using his bare hands to handle the chicken. I reported this to the store manager at the time. Nothing has changed! Be careful to monitor and avoid anyone touching your food with their hands. Skin contact with food can transmit countless diseases. I had to give only 1 star even though Adonis is my favorite store. Management should investigate and warn this employee before he gets caught by government inspectors! read more

The employees at the food prepared dishes place are so rude and impolite and they try to avoid to be helpful , as if they don't want to sell , I was treated very bad , such a traumatising experience although was going there buying prepared dishes for years . They showed they don't want to work . I was so disappointed and shocked from the cook who told me to go cook myself at home . read more

Disgusting. Found a hair in shawarma wrap. Beef was rock solid and wrap was soggy. Spicy potatoes were soggy and gross. Cheese rolls were served freezing cold. Slow service, sky-high cost. read more

This happened at the Dollard des Ormeaux store. After getting what I needed I get in line at the only cash opened. Then some employee tells me to come to the self-service cash and she would do the scanning... Once I got there she tells me to do it at tells me she will show me how it's done. I protested but did go through with it. I told her that I did not mind waiting in line at the regular cash, she replied everyone will have to learn to use the self-service cash. This pissed me off. Out of the 7 items she had to enter the code manually on 3 items because the scanner did not recognize them. I'm not paid to do HER job. I will never go shopping at any Adonis ever again. I have no problem dealing with any computer, it's been my job for the past 40 years. What I object to is employees of a store forcing me to do their job. It's been shown that since self-service cash have been installed in numerous stores there has been a big increase in shoplifting and customers cheating when scanning their products. So I hope they go bankrupt. read more

Adonis has a great selection of items, I get my groceries from here from time to time, we also like getting the black forest cake, sometimes the white forest cake as well. In the past, the cakes were moist, full of fruit and fresh every time that we picked one up from the bakery. However last week, we picked up a small black forest cake and it was not fresh at all, the cake was almost dry (like it's been sitting at the bakery for a few days) there was hardly any fruit either and pretty expensive for a small cake. It was $13.99. I don't think we will be purchasing any more cakes from here nor the pastries as those had a lack of flavor (we had several of these in past). Best Adonis by far is in Laval! Stuff here is always super fresh and made on the spot! This place holds all kinds of fresh veggies, meats, cheese, middle eastern delights imported around the world all in one store. The store itself is beautiful and very busy! Any day any time you come here it's Packed with people! If you're an introvert or someone who despises crowds Don't do what I did and come shopping on a Saturday afternoon lol. Despite all this, service is the best on Saturday since they staff the place properly on the busy days.. the regular days take longer because they don't have much staff to serve people. I love coming here for their ready to made meals yummm I love it no cooking needed just come to the grilled counter and take a number and order your food to go xD Food is always insanely fresh and it holds for a few days in the fridge. I love their eggplant salads marinated peppers are to die for and so are their marinated olives and mushrooms. If you got a chance and you like middle easters cuisine.. give this place a try! Was looking forward to shopping here. Went in for the first time for a few basics. Bread, buns, naan bread, milk etc. Without a doubt super disappointed. All bread products had mold on them within 2 days of purchase (Apr-1-23) yet best before date was still a way off. As a result I have no desire nor do I recommend this Adonis store. Not very honest with the cakes. They show the new nice ones in the front and they give you one that's past it's date. Last time I bought Adonis's cakes is like 6months ago, to be honest it's not a bad thing, I lost a lot of fat! I gave one star because the cakes are always old, also the people there are not nice at all. But you can see it as a 5 stars in terms of diet, bad cake makes it easier to shred! read more

Probably the best Adonis in the Montreal area. Biggest with the grandest of selections. You go to Adonis to have high quality fruits and veggies, meat cuts as well as selection of good that you will NEVER find at Maxi at the prices that nearly match it that makes a complete mockery of IGA. This is not your mom and pop store, it's HUGE with several butchers working behind the counter, a pastry place as well as a fast food place where you can pick up some solidly good hot grub. Word of caution, if you dislike huge crowds avoid this place on weekends. You've been warned!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's pretty insane and people are generally purposely being inconvenient to others (leaving the carts in the middle or lanes, being there in groups). The service is a hit or miss variety, you better hope the butchers or the meat cutters on duty are fresh and willing to work or expect to wait 5-15 minutes to get your cut. As a rule, I love Adonis....except for this location. The cashiers are so rude and dismissive that I would rather drive to St Laurent to avoid the service people. It was so busy yesterday that I took my place in line. Ten minutes later, I saw that there was a sign beside the cash that said 8 items. I thought I had 9 and thought, no big deal. Before I loaded my stuff on the conveyor she looks at me and says are you sure you only have 8? I said if I have too many I will take it out of my order. Turns out, I had 11. She said she could only pass 8 so I took 3 items out and she placed them on a huge pile on a counter behind her. She was so rude, gave me a dirty look and I said, you know you aren't the only store in town right. She shrugged me off and turned her back. I will never go back there and I am sure the previous buyers of the pile of stuff won't either. Bad customer service. read more

Marche Adonis is a place I discovered roughly five years ago and I'm so glad I did. How I describe it is it's a major Supermarket however with fantastic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influence. The store is divided up into seven main sections: Fruit and Vegetable produce: excellent prices usually cheaper than other grocery stores and freshness is decent. They also have items such as artichokes, fresh dates, okra and other specialty produce not typically found in other main produce. Deli Counter and fresh cheeses- cheapest place for cold cuts of any grocery chain. Lots of fresh cheeses and nut selection. Dairy section- all your typical and different packaged cheeses, milk, yoghurt, eggs etc. a bit larger selection than most places. Meat and Seafood- fantastic selection of fresh Halal meats and marinated meats for grilling. This is what they excel in. Everything from lamb, kefta, souvlaki and shwarma chicken their selection is out of this world. On the Seafood side the choices of fresh fish is amazing. red snapper, squid, lobster plus so many more I can't name all of them it's really large. Frozen section- More frozen seafood. Items such as spanakopita and tirropita plus all your typical ice creams and frozen desserts and veg. Prepared meals- I love this section for their rice dishes (paella, chicken and rice) plus their rotisserie plus flat grilled chicken, salads and items such as baba ghanoush, hummus and everything you could think of prepared yummy food! Main grocery- lots of hard to find Arabic or Mediterranean spices, sauces, plus all your dry boxed, jarred or packaged items. Bakery- decadent pastries, cookies, cakes and sweet tooth items. The only downside to Adonis is they don't accept credit cards. Although a very smart move on their behalf it sucks for the consumer. Albeit a minor inconvenience. Overall this place is pretty amazing. I go early in the morning as it is a gong show with people everywhere later on. Most of the days here are very busy with lots of store traffic so beware! read more

I frequently visit this location for Shawerma when visiting Laval. The place is a bit chaotic, but good value and great food. Only accepts cash which has been a nuisance from time to time. They do pizza, roast chicken, pasta, deserts, and much more. You can even grocery shop while you're there. The place is huge! read more
