I am used to the one in Anjou which is a bit bigger but has the same concept. This is a restaurant supply/grocery store that is open to the public, similarly to Costco, but no membership required. Come here to buy speciality foods in bulk packages along with numerous cooking accesories. If you've ever dreamed of having your own meat grinder, deli slicer, or the biggest mixing bowls, cutting boards and tools just like you would find in a professional kitchen, then Mayrand will deliver a fun experience. There is a much bigger selection of produce compared to Costco, however the prices tend to be on the higher side. Look out for specials and in-house products, such as meat and seafood. I highly recommend the fresh sausages for example, they come in a variety of flavors not just your plain "Italian" or "Honey Garlic". SO delicious and perfect for the BBQ. Also love the cheese selection, there are so many varieties, just like at a specialty fromagerie. The frozen food selection is probably the most disappointing part of the store- There really isn't much and all the boxes are plain, lacking signage and visuals so it's hard to sort through. I was looking for a big amount of frozen beef burger patties and didn't see any. Note this store has a small cafe/counter where you can order prepared lunches and sandwiches, which is a neat concept if you want to eat on the spot, or while you're shopping in the mall. As with all things new, everything looks nice and modern - suprisingly on opening day and with the COVID situation, the lines were short and all the staff was efficient.

I have been shopping at the Super C on St Jacques for years and it is my favorite grocery store in…read morethe area. This is a no frills grocery store so if you are looking for trendy or high end specialty goods, this isn't the place for you. The store is clean, selection is decent, and the prices, especially their weekly sales, are amazing. For instance, my teenage nephew loves CookiesnCream ice cream and it was on sale this week for $2.50 a carton so I bought him two. The regular price is around the $6.00 mark, per carton. Shopping here, I can afford to spend on specials treats because of the money I save on basic staples, something more affluent people may take for granted but I really appreciate.

Whenever I'm visiting a new city I always check out their local grocery stores. Grocery shopping is…read moreone of my favorite hobbies so I could honestly spend hours browsing. I wasn't too impressed with the Canadian grocery chains I visited (including loblaws and maxi) but out of the three super C was by far the best one. The prices in these grocery stores were well above what we pay in the U.S. I found super C's prices a little lower and the selection was a little better. Their selection of products was not as wide in variety as I'm used to. For example, they only had about three different brands of peanut butter and no flavored ones. I ended up buying a spaghetti squash to take home and some mini ice cream cones. We also bought some frozen vegetables to heat up at the hotel for $3 and a carton of nestle ice cream since we don't have them in the U.S. (It sucked by the way). If you want to check out a Montreal grocery chain super C is it. Just be warned that they are nowhere near as fun and full of different products like in the U.S.

I would like to know whether Mr. Robert Collin is the owner of this Metro Plus Bellemare location,…read morewhat his role is exactly, and when he is actually present in the store. Recently, I experienced multiple issues with promotion tags that appeared to still be active on the shelves but were already expired at checkout. Customers select products based on these advertised prices, only to discover at payment that the pricing is incorrect. I spoke with a manager who introduced himself as "Jaque." His response was essentially that this has happened before and could happen again in the future, which suggests there is no real process improvement being implemented. What was most disappointing was the lack of concern shown toward the issue. He smiled, walked away, and did not appear interested in documenting the situation or taking any corrective action. I'm genuinely wondering how this can be considered good customer service or acceptable business practice. Unfortunately, I left the store with very little confidence that anything will improve.
