We love dogs and have had quite a few over the years. We have used this vet practice for the past…read moreseveral years. They have been nothing but great to our dogs. They love our animals and take very good care of them. They always welcome the crazy situations that come up at the last minute and get our pets seen. I've never felt like they force any service on you and they always give us options to consider. I appreciate their kindness and caring. I would highly recommend that anyone in search of a vet to try this group.

We were scheduled quickly, and the cost was much lower than our previous vet in another state! We've been very happy with the care our pets receive here. I have one dog with a severe allergy issue and they worked with us to help him feel better, eventually getting testing and on allergy drops. They didn't push us to this route right away, but let us know our choices and were ready to help when we were ready to pursue this path. I've got a dog with lameness now and when things didn't improve after first visit they got us in for more discussion/x-rays and walked me through our options going forward. Even offered to refer us to specialists. The staff love on my dogs, and my dogs love going to see them. We have been pleased with the care. Prices have jumped in the last 2 years, but they have been good about waiving things(like the extra x-rays) or suggesting where to get products cheaper. We(and our dogs) love Cleveland Veterinary Hospital!

Honestly this place is useless. Back in February we took our little dog into see the Vet because…read moreshe was bleeding from her month. Since we have been going here (less then a year) this was the third new vet at this office. The vet told us she probably had an abscess and one tooth had to be pulled. When she had the tooth pulled, the Vet informed us she needed to take a biopsy and send it out for testing and that it would take at most 10 days. At least two weeks pasted and we did not get a phone call. We called at least three times asking for the results. Finally a week past our last call we got a call back with the bad news that she had cancer and had about 6 months to live. Nevertheless, every time we needed a refill of pain medicine there was always a two or three day delay in getting a refill. When we called with a question there always was a two or three day delay in getting a call back. Part of the problem was and is, that they no longer have a permanent vet on staff but temporary fill ins that honestly don't seem to care because they know they will not be there very long. One time when we went to the office to pick up medication, they were closed, we were never told they would be close and their web site did not say they would be closed. When we questioned them they told us since they did not have a vet on duty they had closed up. Unfortunately, our little girl had to be put to sleep. We went to a different vet because we did not want to wait around for a delayed call back. It was all ready hard on us to make the decision and would have been a nightmare to have to wait till they had a fill in Vet. The only thing that they do well is send you emails promoting food, animal treats, etc. We found out that they are owned by a big corporate entity, that might be the reason that they cannot hold onto Vets. The office is all ways empty and their fees are considerably higher then other Vets. The office staff at times can be testy, but that might be frustration because of the high turn over of Vets. The most disturbing issue was of the lack of timely responses during this horrible time for us. In the back of our minds, while were are grieving, we are wondering if the outcome could have been different if things were done in a timely fashion.

This animal hospital is not only overpricing services but also injuring their patients in order to…read moremake more money. I had two pets, Ruby a dog and Mousse my rabbit. My dog ended up getting a sudden onset illness and Mt yonah took care of her for the last 4-5 days of her life. My Yonah convinced my mom to spend $500 worth of acupuncture appointments in an effort to save our dog, and on the 4th day of taking care of her they overdosed her with pain medication which put her into cardiac arrest, and once they brought her back she was having seizure after seizure and died later that night at our house. At this point Ruby didn't get a chance to go to ANY of the acupuncture appointments we prepaid for and when we asked for a refund we were denied and out an extra $500. My rabbit mousse who is male went in for a standard neuter which has high success rates when done properly, but the exotic vet told me they have bad success rates and tried to tell me that neutering rabbits was risky. After his neuter he went into shock and developed GI stasis, nearly died, and I had to feed him food and medicine every 3 hours for 6 days straight to keep him alive. After the ordeal was over with not only did I spend about $800 in medical bills, but my rabbit developed a behavioral problem from the surgery which lead him to be unbondable. I know this because I had trouble bonding so I went to a professional who had bonded hundreds of rabbits successfully without fail, and after 2 months she told me she rarely saw his type of aggression and anger from a rabbit and that he had to be alone. After 3 years of working with him he's finally become a happy bunny who fully trusts me again and no longer lashes out in anger for things such as feeding and changing his water bowls. I was also made aware by multiple rabbit binders and rescue workers that neutering a rabbit is supposed to cost $75-$100, not $500+, and that they rarely ever had rabbits who go into GI stasis and shock. I went to get him checked out one last time by mt yonah for a wellness appt and the exotic vet told me he had back pain and wanted me to buy acupuncture appts for him. I turned that down because he is always running and jumping around and flopping over without any sign of pain. A couple days later the vet calls me while mousse is having the zoomies on the carpet and bouncing around to ask if I noticed his behavior changing or him becoming more sedentary. I dont know if she maybe tried providing him to make him seem sick or what but I proudly told her that mousse was doing amazing and discontinued business with the animal hospital. I just took him to a wellness visit at Oakwood Animal Hospital and the vet tech there told me he was extremely docile and didn't flinch at all around his back and said he looks amazing and told me he wouldn't be bouncing and jumping around if he really did have back pain like the other vet suggested. If you need to travel a little further to a different animal hospital then definitely do it because it's worth not going to Mt Yonah. PS: I know one other personal friend who claims mt yonah contributed to the death of his dog because of a surgery that developed into a deadly infection that killed the dog
