Not only did they say they have no record of me or ever heard of me, they said they didn't know anyone from my family, either. I admitted it had been awhile since I brought a pet in for anything ( my bad for having healthy pets). They said i would be a new patient, they would see my dog for a new patient exam for $150 then, the vet would consider if my dog was dying and then I could pay those fees. WHAT? Went to Clermont Vet. Have never been. They took my pet with no question and nothing except kindness. Yet my vets offi e if 30 years did this to my baby. She had to be driven further and suffer longer. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. NEVER TRUST THEM WITH YOUR BABIES. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT THE GRIFT, NOW.

A Special Thank You to Clarkesville Veterinary Hospital from the Bottom of Our Hearts…read more I want to take a moment to recognize the amazing staff at Clarkesville Veterinary Hospital for the love, compassion, and kindness they showed our family during two of the hardest days we've had. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to two of our sweet fur babies, Remi and Marleigh. Remi and Marleigh weren't "just dogs." They were part of our family. They were woven into our everyday lives, our memories, our routines, and our hearts. They gave us years of unconditional love, loyalty, laughter, and companionship -- and having to let them go was absolutely heartbreaking. During both of those heartbreaking moments, the staff at Clarkesville Veterinary Hospital showed us such incredible kindness, patience, compassion, and respect, and our babies with such gentleness, dignity, and love. They never rushed us. They gave us time to cry, to love on them, to say everything we needed to say, and to hold them close one last time. When your heart is breaking, you never forget how someone treats you and those little acts of compassion mean more than people realize. They didn't just take care of Remi and Marleigh -- they took care of us, too. There is something incredibly special about people who can walk into a room on one of the worst days of your life and somehow make you feel cared for, understood, and a little less alone. To everyone at Clarkesville Veterinary Hospital, thank you for loving our babies right alongside us until the very end. Thank you for making two incredibly painful goodbyes just a little more peaceful. And thank you for showing our family so much grace and compassion while our hearts were breaking. We will forever miss our sweet babies. But we will also forever be grateful that when it was time to say goodbye, they were surrounded by love. Run free, Remi & Marleigh. Until we see you again. And to Clarkesville Veterinary Hospital -- thank you for what you do and, most importantly, for the heart you put into doing it. We will never forget your kindness. If you're looking for a veterinary office that truly understands that our animals are FAMILY, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Clarkesville Veterinary Hospital.

From the beginning to the middle and end of the process I was blown away. Lucinda was extremely warm and we still keep very close contact with her. Cooper has a drive like no other. He had very impressive instinctual habits right from the beginning. Cooper is currently away at training and our dog trainer has nothing but great things to say about him -- from looks, personality, drive, and overall high level of breeding. We will be looking to add another pup to our family soon and will hands down be using Lucinda (this time a yellow pup!). I applaud her picking process. She really gets to know the family and makes sure she is finding the best match. Puppy match maker? I say YES. Thank you so much Lucinda! Cooper is our world

As a breeder, Lucinda is passionate about her litters and is very attentive to her pups' health, development, and early socialization. Lucinda was very attentive to my needs and what I was looking for in my hunting retriever. My black lab has a lot of drive, is very biddable, and might be the most intelligent lab I have owned. As for the clown that gave Ducktown Retrievers a bad review, maybe he doesn't understand what "nonrefundable deposit" means... Any breeder worth their salt will have a puppy contract to protect their clients and business so I would suggest reading it next time, Kevin. As for the appearance of Ducktown Retrievers' dogs, take a look at the pictures and tell me that's not a good looking dog... If I could give Lucinda and DTR 10 stars, I would! I will definitely look to Lucinda in the future for another waterfowling dog.

I didnt know how tedious it would be to find someone to cremate her, or somewhere to bury her. Most places offered rates from 160$ to 300$ and had a turn around time of 2-3 weeks and theres no telling how much care they can really give since it sounds like they have their hands full.
