If you have reservations, and I recommend you do. Laura will set a side an area for your party and have a hand made rsvp for your group. We tasted probably six wines on 9/26/21. The Mourverde was our favorite. Phil was gracious enough to give us big samples out of two fermentation tanks.. We also got to try an unlabeled Port. They don't sell food, but they often have pop-up vendors visiting, or you're welcome to bring your own munchies. Autumn, the Tasting Room Manager, is usually pouring their wines which are well made, balanced, and offer something for everyone. Their tasting menu always offers choices of slightly dryer, acidic white wines, or medium and full bodies reds. We were wine club members for a couple years and love the benefits of free tastings and 20% off their already reasonable bottle prices. They're also very flexible with the requirements of the club shipments, allowing you to skip as necessary. I highly recommend you visit this winery and experience their wines and hospitality for yourselves. TIP: You can reach out to them and set up a tasting in the back of the "cave's" private room, which will probably accommodate a group of 15-20 friends.

Great hosts and very friendly. They also have a winery dog named Cabernet. This is not your traditional winery that's open daily or even every weekend like Warner Springs Wineries. They are open at least two times per year for the semi annual pick up party. Any other time is hit or miss. They do private parties and events probably more often than they are open to the public. One of their main goals is to sell their wine to restaurants. More bulk sales oriented. The drive from Temecula Valley is approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to call ahead to make an appointment for wine tasting. The wines are still maturing and I only found one wine that I cared for and that was the Rembrandt Pinot Noir. The…read moreowners, Jim & Judy, were the most gracious and generous hosts, both pouring and giving us the history of the wine and their winery. We tried 12 of approximately 18 selections. Some notables included: a '16 Vermentino, '13 Barbera, '13 "Zintastic" Zinfandel, '13 Renegade, '13 Reserve Syrah, '13 Redemption, '13 Petite Sirah, and a "Petite Sweetie" (Petite Sirah dessert wine). My wife enjoyed everything and I had high scores on eight. We ended up purchasing four bottles to add to our collection, including a '13 Tempranillo and a '14 Malbec, which were not available for tasting, but based on everything else Jim made, I'm sure we'll love. They waived the tasting fee due to our purchase of four bottles (very generous). It's an adventure to drive to this out-of-the-way property, but the views of the surrounding hills and wines are well worth it. Only slightly negative comment I have is that parking is very limited and it's a steep climb from the parking area to the tasting room. We'll definitely be adding Roadrunner Ridge to our list of regular winery stops.
