Adesa Golden Gate used to be the only auction we went to. We went to both the Tuesday sales and the Thursday sales. However, in the past year they have lost my business for few reasons. First reason, when we take cars for sale, they promise to run the car and give a good number, but they in more than 10 occasions they did not run it. For example, yesterday they were suppose to run my car and I call and say it was not sold. Today I go pick it up and it was in the swamp with last week's date. I went there in person when I asked them to run and they said Brian and Luis will take care of it. Second reason, there is shill bidding and the auctioneers help it. So when you bid, make sure you look around because there could be an imaginary person bidding against you and increase the price for no reason. Thirdly, what is it with TD America? All their cars don't have keys and they all have problems. Once we got a Chevrolet Aveo, it was green light, but they started the bid at $2,000 and it went to red light. We won it at $2500 and they sold it at red light. Guess what happened when we drove it out....after exactly 6 miles the transmission gave up. They really take care of big guys, but when it comes to the small guys like most of their customers they don't care. I really suggest trying other auctions. You can get a better deal and have a peace of mind.I will NEVER buy a car nor sell a car at ADESA. They have failed me like me other dealers. read more

Terrible customers service, shady business, they would green light cars that have engine problems. I bought a green light car and paid $125 extra for the post inspection. They passed the vehicle. I took the car home and it broke down the very next day. Brought it back and they offered the run the car back in the auction. Don't waste your time and money here. read more

Mike Jones, General Sales Manager is very unprofessional. I asked to be called back about an important (to me) issue, no less than four (4) times but, was never contacted by him. This resulted in costing me over $2000.00 on a purchase that Adesa Golden Gate screwed up on. Terrible customer service from top to bottom. Beware in doing business with Adesa Golden Gate. This auction is not that great...... I use to come here all the time and I am done with them. Their PSI demp does not cover anything they do not take care of their cust. Last time I bought a truck from them for 18K went to arb for tanni the kicked this truck back. they would not even ask me if I want some kind of ajustment on the price to keep this sale. So I came back next week to trying to buy it for less money since I knew they were going to sell it as is so I got this truck on offer for couple grand less. I went to sales office and they told me this truck is sold to you. Thanks great deal !!! I went and paid for it so as soon as I about go some guy run up to me and tells me there were a mistake and they sold me this truck tell me I have to return it back.... lol idiot I only came bacause of this truck and I would not pay you same money what I paid for it last week with bad tranny no way....... so he goes to me dont come back here sure no problem u will lose more on my business and you last on this truck base on your peoples mistake. Dealers stop spending your hard earned money here, why are we fighting for theseThis place sucks, the management think car dealers are stupid or lazy. I have been going here for the last 15 years and dealers beware. The arbitration department is a joke. I psi my cars and 90% of the time they still manage to screw up. Can't say enough about keeping your money and buy elsewhere. Watch out for TD remarketing here most of the cars glued back together and you will pay big for your mistake of buying here. This auction sucks! It has one of the worst websites, makes it really difficult to locate specific vehicles and it becomes really time consuming because of it. The buyers fees are ridiculous. I don't understand how you can have a $270 buyer fee for a car thats under a $1000, thats 25% of the purchase price if not more. Faculty is nice but it doesn't make up for the inability of the auction to function correctly. Manheim is 10x better. I don't know why Adesa just doesn't copy the template that Manheim has set???? read more

Horrible service! Had an appointment for 11 am arrived at 1030. And so far its 1245 and still no car. This place has no sence of urgency.

Awesome staff, everybody I spoke with was willing to help. The facility is clean but most importantly the vehicles are where they should be. That is the most important thing! I have purchased many vehicles there and have never had an issue finding a vehicle. I always look forward to attending their sales. read more

Update: Regional VP got back to us and ....actually...we had a lucrative brief conversation where we both agreed that us and ADESA Golden Gate should not do business anymore moving forward BUT...we should not be blocked from doing business with the rest of the ADESA locations, which seems pretty normal. The worst auction ever I have three dealerships in average I am buying like about 10 to 15 cars here a week these people are one of the worst people ever from Jeff The manager to Gary the manager a mechanic shop when you turn in the car for inspection/psi and they call you to come and pick up the car I can guarantee you you'll find problem with that car that they just overlooked or they knew that there is a problem in that car but they just passed inspection anyways in their mind that you may never figure it out The problem I have seen the auctioneer taking money I have seen the mechanic taking money I don't even know what to tell you just be careful we the dealers have no option but buying the cars I asked them so many time to give me the email or phone number of the head office or the corporate office these people are not giving out that information I just hope one of the main guy of Goldengate auction is reading this review and please email me or message me I will be more than happy to give you all the insight info about these people.... Ya they bought openlane and now the whole company sucks! The website is a joke. Buy from Manheim and avoid Adesa at all cost. By the way if you choose dealer check don't start thinking you can take your check to an adesa location if u bought on dealerblock. You have to send your check to Mesa az and maybe you'll get your car in a couple of weeks. Adesa just plain sucks read more
