I posted a project on Yelp and Alma from Sunset Plumbing responded quickly. He said he could come out that same day, but it wouldn't work for me, so he came out the next. He had great communication, told me he wouldn't charge to figure out the problem and didn't. He spent time at my house working to figure out where the leak was (under the dishwasher) and even noticed another leak under our kitchen sink. In the end he charged us a very reasonable rate and discovered that the dishwasher housing was the problem once he repaired a hose line. Looks like we will be working through the manufacturer to get a replacement dishwasher. Alma offered to install it for us, too. Really nice guy, friendly, and honest. Thanks Alma! We'll definitely call him again when we need more plumbing work done.

Worst service ever! They were prompt to respond but left our yard looking like a bomb went off!…read more Our water main broke in December and they came and fixed. While they were trying to fix it their machine broke so they had to dig up our entire front yard. We understood they aren't landscapers but you'd think they'd have common sense. Less than 30 days later the water main broke again. They had installed it incorrectly and caused even more damage. This resulted in yet more damage to our yard. Then we went to turn on our sprinkler system and they forgot to hook that up to the water main when they fixed it the first time. Yup you guessed it. They had to rip up the yard a 3rd time. I understand this wasn't the plumber, he hired incompetent workers that couldn't do the job right and took 3 times to fix a problem with our yard getting worse and worse each time. The owner refuses to take any responsibility and is offering no solution. Because this happened outside of our house its not covered by insurance and has now cost us well over $10,000!! This is not a company I would recommend if you ever have any issues. Yes they will fix it but there is added costs each time that they refuse to even acknowledge.

I fully expected to be told we needed a new furnace (something the other company had told us many times.) Not only did they honor the low price coupon, they checked everything, and said that though our unit was old, it was in good working condition, and they hoped to keep it that way for awhile, because some of the newer furnaces made then tended to fail. That was about six years ago, and we're still going strong with our original heating setup. We travel a lot, and wanted to get on a regular maintenance program, where Any Hour comes twice per year, and keeps everything clean and working, We can call "any hour" with any trouble or questions. It has worked well. Last month, we decided our contractor may never get around to repairing the tub that he failed to seal or finding where all the leaks were coming from, causing a roof to rain on us downstairs in the garage. We also needed to replace a brand new water heater he'd installed in our new apartment above the new garage. It constantly smelled like sulfur, and the only way to stop it was to run all 50 gallons of water out of it whenever we used it. In Mapleton, that's very expensive. We decided to get a tankless water heater, because we wouldn't have to deal with water just sitting in the tank, growing bacteria and smelling to high heaven whenever we turned on the hot water upstairs in the apartment. Any Hour fixed all the issues, including black mold on the lower floor and cracks that let black widows into the basement. They found and tackled all the problems. No more leaks or spiders! No more smelly water, and no more $300/year to keep water hot when we may not even use it for months. Andrew had discussed all the options, so we decided on a gas tankless, which would require digging a long, deep trench all the way around the house to avoid tearing up concrete. (Our neighbor's was much closer, but that wasn't going to work, either. Ha!) The project began on July 10th, and the city guy finally got here July 31st, but it didn't pass. There was a gas leak and we had to call the gas company, and then the fire department. Ugg. It was due to a faulty part, which Any Hour quickly replaced. Everything is great now, and we just need to keep leveling the trench, adjust the sprinklers, then plant grass and get the lawn to hopefully grow again. We had to repair the drywall, sprinklers and pipe, but we knew that going in, and were okay with it, because if Any Hour had hired someone, it would have been much more expensive. It was something we can do ourselves for less money, so we're glad Any Hour know that, and didn't just assume we'd go for a less hassle but more expensive option. Any Hour is now advertising a lot. I'm hoping it won't change their good prices. Communication is key. Ask, and they'll tell you! Any Hour Services also worked with us on financing this very large and detailed project, which has been very helpful. When everything hits at once, it's great to work with a business that has our backs. Eric and I highly recommend Any Hour, and we weren't paid or offered any discounts to write reviews. We want others to know we've had a great experience.

Very negative side is parts price gouging and almost usury!…read more Initially, the service tech quoted me over $400 to replace a 75 MFD start capacitor for an AC compressor. This capacitor can be purchased for about $35! Later, determined the capacitor was within specification, but the compressor was locked up, so told me he could unlock the compressor with a "hard start", which he did and that unlocked the compressor to get the unit working again. During check out, he said he's keep the price for the "hard start" the same as the quoted price for the 75 MFD capacitor, a bit over $400. After paying and the tech leaving, I search online and found the "hard start" is about the same price as the capacitor, even a bit lower. Doesn't require much of a math mind to figure out the margins they are making and feeling taken advantage of when desperate! Predatory behavior!

We had a terrible experience with "Expert" Services and I would never use them again or recommend…read morethem to anyone. The service person was not honest. He told us the furnace was putting out extremely high levels of carbon monoxide and that we needed to replace our furnace immediately. He quoted me $5,000. I told him I was going to get a second opinion. We had another service provider over that afternoon and they said they did not detect any carbon monoxide and that it was perfectly safe. I'm certain that if they tried to convince me that I needed a new furnace by stating it was unsafe due to carbon monoxide that they have used this same tactic on others and will likely do it again. If I could give them ZERO starts then I would.

He's a master plumber, licensed and bonded, and the quality of his work was really impressive. Oh, and did I mention cost yet? Well, let's just say he saved me HUNDREDS of dollars. Several times he mentioned that he "couldn't sleep at night" if he charged people what the larger companies charge. If you are in need of an honest plumber who does high-quality work, but at a fraction of the price, this is your guy.

It's based solely on the booking process. I was able to book an appointment on Sunday for Monday morning, but they called early Monday and said they couldn't make it until Tuesday. That caused me to miss out on other companies that had Monday availability and wasted valuable time on something we needed done as soon as possible. They need to get their scheduling system figured out.
