Then, one of the tracks stopped working immediately. The track lighting is on a ceiling about 20 feet up - keep in mind, there is no way it could be tampered with on my end as I'm not a 16ft woman. Three separate times, I had their technicians come out, and "repair" the track, only to have it break again days later. At a certain point, I think March of 2023 - They came out one last time and said I needed a new track. They said they'd order one and get back to me, I never heard back. At this point, other things came up and I stopped calling to ask about it - (I had a miscarriage, a father on hospice, more pressing business than a piece of track lighting.) Now, with a bit more time on my hands I called again to inquire about the broken track - again, someone came out, said it needed to be replaced and said they'd be in touch. This was 7/19. I never heard back until I called them yesterday, 7/31 and left a sassy message, because I'm so sick of dealing with this piece of junk. At this point, they want to charge me for the broken piece - insinuating that its past the warranty and that I've done something to break it... even though, its been broken since install in 2022 - Its their fault its past warranty because they never called me back. Someone named Brook offered to cover the charge after a nasty email, but I'm sure the install will be late - and probably not work, Especially now that I've voiced my complaints.

GOOD ELECTRIC SERVICE…read more I REALLY needed a "Good" electrician! My project of adding central A/C to each of the units in my Washington Park 4-plex had turned into a nightmare. The company I had chosen for the HVAC portion of this project had completed their end of the work promptly and professionally For the electrical portion of this project I used a licensed electrician who had done a few smaller jobs on my building in the past. After a week's worth of work my new A/C's were up and running. Then came the phone call. A new tenant had received an electric bill for $300 for 2 weeks of electricity. The electrician I had hired had jury rigged the wiring to get the proper voltage to each A/C unit and one tenant was paying for 3 A/C's. While trying to figure out what was going on I discovered that in gaining access to the wiring that electrician had used a hammer to beat holes in the walls of my beautiful apartment building which he left unrepaired. A quick check with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) revealed that his license had been revoked 2 months earlier, Not only had my building been vandalized by this criminal, his jury-rigging had jeopardized the safety of my tenants and the safety of the building. In the following days I contacted a total of 15 electricians looking for someone to correct these hazardous issues. More than 1/2 had no interest in the job once I described the situation. A few others came to look at the job then never got back to me. Most appeared to lack the expertise or knowledge to structure, manage, and oversee this fairly large and complex project. I needed an electrician with the ability to work with Xcel, to work with a design engineer, to work with the city, and to navigate the permitting process. Of the 15 electricians I had reached out to only David Barbero, president of Good Electric Service Company, was able to fully conceptualize what needed to be done and make it happen. In strategizing for this job David, and his team, visited my property on two occasions. Their thoroughness included exploring the crawlspace, the utility room, the attics, and the current service/electrical panel in each of the four apartments. Mike is working towards his Master's license and teaches other electricians at a local trade school. Subsequent to winning local and regional competitions for electrician skills Mike recently went on to earn First Place in the National Wire Off competition. He is literally the undisputed number one electrician in the nation! Mike's team member Sean is equally committed to maintaining the highest possible standards and is currently working towards his licensure as Journeyman electrician. The last member of the team was a hard working young man by the name of Quinton. Quintin's goal is to work his way through the ranks as he moves forward towards a career as a licensed Master Electrician. Quintin has already begun studies as he begins his journey towards licensure. Watching the work unfold was akin to watching a well-planned military exercise. All materials were delivered and staged the day before the work began. When Mike, Sean and Quintin arrived, work commenced immediately with each member of the team knowing exactly what should be done and in what sequence. It was like watching a precision drill team in action. As a courtesy to my tenants 24 hours advance notice of when their power would need to be shut down was provided. The time that my tenants were without power was less than 30 minutes per apartment. Work began on Wednesday and was completely up and running by Friday. The inspection by the city took place on the following Monday and declared to be 100% perfect! My electrical nightmare was over. We had a challenging experience working with Tru Craft. During the initial walkthrough to look at…read morethe various projects, it seemed that Tru Craft would be able to handle the various jobs we had (installing recessed lighting, replacing bathroom fans, replacing ceiling fans). After work was started, we started hearing excuses/justifications as to why certain parts of the job could not be completed properly (or completed at all). Mostly they blamed us for selecting equipment (new Panasonic bathroom fans and Minka Aire ceiling fans) they they did not prefer. Similarly, they objected (after the job was started, of course) to installing Lutron dimmer switches on the recessed lighting because they did not like the style of switch we wanted (again, a major name brand that we would have expected electricians to be comfortable with). All told, they left the bathroom fans only partly installed (we had to hire another contractor to redo the work correctly) and the ceiling fans click and wobble. We were told many times that things would have gone better if this had been "new construction," which was strange considering it was clear from the beginning that the work was to be done on an existing home. They did do a good job installing the recessed lighting, which was the only part of the job that went smoothly (except for installation of the switches, which had to be completed by someone else given Tru Craft's objections around using the Lutron switches we wanted). Tru Craft may be good choice for smaller/simpler jobs, or jobs where specific equipment is not required, but we ended up needing to use another company to complete our scope of work. (For what it's worth, the other company repaired/completed Tru-Craft's work quickly and without complaint regarding the equipment).

I was given an appt. reminder call and day of texted me before arriving. Jeff and Steve came completely protected since COVID-19 was taking place and we all kept our 6' distance. I asked for a solid wood door and he asked if I had paint for the door, luckily I had a old can with the color code on it. Since I needed them to come back a different day, they worked with my schedule. My final straw was having an employee let themselves into my home at a different time and day of the set appointment. Which is incredibly stupid, because I partake in the second amendment.
