We did not have our wedding here, but went on a visit and was extremely disappointed in Addison Park's unprofessionalism. Both my fiancee' and I had an appointment after work, so we drive over an hour in rush hour traffic to make it there for a tour. Not only did they make us wait in the room for 30 minutes past our appointment, but they couldn't even take us on a full tour to see everything because there was a wedding going on at that time. Why have us come in then and not reschedule at a time more convenient? We found this is be highly inconsiderate and needless to say we will not be choosing Addison Park. read more

Came here this past week for a wedding. Right off the back I thought this place was just gorgeous. Those stairs made it look like something from a Cinderella movie. The cocktail hour was absolutely fantastic. There was so much to choose from. While sitting having my cocktail one of the waiter came to my friend and I to inform us that we need to head inside for dinner bc they need to start. We hustle and went in to see how beautiful the dining room was. Those center piece were to die for. I went to the rest room and my sister order salmon for my main course. I was here for a wedding this past weekend and thought the place was amazing. The wedding was privately catered so I can't comment on the food, but the place is a palace. The first room, (for the pre-wedding reception) was a beautiful lower floor ballroom with at least three chandeliers. The ceremony was in an upstairs room with gorgeous decor and huge windows that made the ceremony cheery and sunny. The reception was in another downstairs ballroom with amazing soundsystem and beutiful neon liights that made the dancing and ambiance so much more interesting. read more

Very nice wedding venue. Everything seemed really new and well kept. The cocktail hour food was very plentiful and diverse. All cooked really well. The seated dinner was also very good. I cannot say enough about The Addison Park. I worked with Ed (and Irene) to plan the big day. Ed was very flexible and easy to work with. We went with the Clarion menu and were NOT disappointed. We booked our wedding 1.5 years before the actual date so the menu changed a bit in a GREAT way. We were so happy with the changes. The food portions are HUGE and taste great. My husband had the New York strip steak for his meal and it was large and delicious but we were so full from the amazing cocktail hour, we couldn't finish our dinners. Cocktail hour had food in every corner of the room plus passed h'ors dourves. Our maitre'd Dom was like a ninja. We barely saw him but he was making it all happen behind the scenes. The bridal attendant Kim was a life saver with my bustle (which broke twice). Our captain Jeff was really sweet and on top of things. The staff overall does an amazing job and we could not have been happier with the way things turned out. My one and only recommendation would be a different champagne because I prefer dry to sweet :) I had A LOT of stuff to drop off before the wedding and a lot to set up but they were able to put it all together even better than I could ever imagine. We are so thankful to have chose The Addison Park. They were worth every penny and then some. read more

I recently attended my friend's wedding here and I was excited to return because I loved it years ago. I think I love it even more now! The place is covered with pristine marble and is a blank canvas for whatever theme you're going to have. I hate when a place has set colors that clash with everything else. The cocktail hour was delicious so many items to choose from. Sadly, I had a stomach virus so I ate a couple things here and there, but couldn't really enjoy my favorite part of a wedding! I loved the option to sit outdoors during cocktail hour because it was a gorgeous day and the fountains are so pretty out there. The ballroom was very spacious and beautifully decorated. I was happy my table was near the dj and the bar. Our bartender was such a nice guy, constantly checking on our table and bringing us drinks. There was never a line and things ran very smoothly. The salad and pasta choices were so good, but even better were the entree choices- seafood platter, chicken, pork and steak. I can usually care less about entrees at catering halls, but my choice of the seafood platter was AMAZING! I wish I was able to eat it all, but being sick I paced myself. We just had our wedding reception here on 11/17/17. Everything was truly perfect from start to finish. Throughout the planning process, we mainly worked with Ed who was a true class professional. He is kind, patient, informative, flexible and made the whole wedding planning very easy. Anything we asked for, he made happen without any hesitation. The night of the reception was perfect. We worked with Anthony, Katrina, and Kim and they all couldn't have been nicer and were also true professionals. They were super supportive, helpful and cognizant of our needs. The service was outstanding - there wasn't a second where anyone needed or wanted for something. Food and drinks were very plentiful and exceptional. The space at Addison Park is very beautiful. Our guests were super complimentary of everything at the reception. I can honestly say the stress of planning a wedding was greatly lessened by having our wedding at Addison. I had my wedding here. I have not one bad thing to say. The place is beautiful. The food was delicious. The service was the best I could even imagine. Staff is SUPER attentive. Between the bartenders, servers, bridal attendent (Kim-- was AWESOME, so sweet and helpful), maitre d Dominic, etc. There is not one complaint I can say about Addison Park. I was there for a Sunday wedding, had the valet park my car, and when I got back I was missing an $80 baby toy that I needed the following week for a baby's birthday party. I didn't realize that it was missing right away because it was in the trunk part of my truck. It is very sad that people would steal from patrons. read more

I was here for a wedding this past weekend. I have to tell you the cocktail hour was by far one of the best cocktail hours I have been to in a while. The place was very beautiful everything was aligned properly the lighting the table cloths and the drapery. The service was a little slow in regards to the cocktail hour it seems as if they have a lot of young people working there for the summer. Once it was time for the real festivities to begin we were escorted out of the cocktail room into the room where our party would begin. Our waiters were nice in letting us know what was on the dinner menu for the night unfortunately one of the things that I didn't like was the people who ordered the steaks they were not asked how they would like that steak prepared rare, medium rare, well done, etc. I personally had the chicken which wasn't dry and was pretty tasty. Unfortunately some the people that did have the steaks said that they were a little bit flavorless. I know that if you're looking at this review, you probably think we were a 'one-off' type situation, especially compared to the rest of the reviews for this place online. We said the same thing about other negative reviews before booking with this hall. We'll give credit where credit is due, but at the same time, this place has some major ego issues and treats you with an air of "well if you don't like it, go somewhere else". Food - Nothing bad to say. The food was amazing from cocktail hour to the vienesse dessert hour. Quick tip: forget the filet, the prime rib is much better. Hall - The venue is breathtaking. It's the type of positive that led us to overlook a lot of negative throughout the process. Service - Very disappointing for what you pay for & really the most disappointing aspect of this place. We had a huge (350+) person wedding and had the whole hall to ourselves the day of. The hall wasn't at all responsive throughout our planning process. We had tons of questions and were told "we'll call you back" and items went weeks without being addressed till we called back. When I got a stomach virus and missed our food tasting (NOTE: it is not a private event for you and your family like other places, but rather one large cafeteria-style event for every wedding couple the entire year), the management refused to reschedule another session for us. Even when we went to see the hall with our vendors after we booked, every single time they REFUSED to open the wall so we could see what the actual room would like the day of. You'd think after taking so much money, someone could spare ten minutes to at least let us see the room in its entirety. Additionally, leading up to the event, we had heard non-stop from the staff how well taken care of we would be (us, bridal party, and guests) on the day of the event. Our guests yes, were waited on hand and foot. But as for us, we unfortunately didn't see an ounce of that on the day of the wedding. Despite what we were promised, we didn't have a captain on the day of the wedding, and they seemed to forget about us the entire night, to the point where my wife and I ended up sharing one glass of water until our best man found us a waiter to get us a refill. Mind you, we're not the overly picky type where this type of thing ruined our evening, and it's not like we had any expectations/demands going into the wedding day, but we just found it so odd to receive this type of service when they promised us so many times such "excellent service." Vendor Policy - By far the worst aspect of this place. They legit will turn away your vendor if they don't have insurance (or if they fail to meet any of their numerous and ever-changing vendor policies), and they will drop that bomb on you 10 days before the wedding. Good times. The only helpful person was Donna at the front desk. Other than that, Anthony's service was as forgettable as we seemed to be to him. read more

Was here for a wedding a couple of weeks ago. I have food issues and always request special meals. I have never been served "airplane food" before. Nothing for the cocktail hour. Nothing for the salad course. Nothing for dessert. I was just served a small tin of a defrosted airplane meal. I was very disappointed and the host was humiliated. read more

I had my wedding at Addison Park, November 2016 and it was everything I imagined and more. The place itself is beautiful down to the napkin and tablecloth! There was an abundance of great food at our cocktail hour, and the main course during our reception was delicious. Needless to say the prime rib was more than one inch thick and juicy! I had my wedding there summer of 2011 and it was a disaster. We booked the place bc it was stunning and beautiful but the staff and service was despicable. The place may look classy but the people running the place are far from it. For starters, the Maitre D'/Coordinator asked "What is your religion, so i'll keep my thoughts to myself, dont want to offend you" Sorry, you just did offend me. THEN they REFUSED to help my sister set up the place setting cards @ the entrance table for the reception and place reserved seating signs on the patio for the wedding ceremony (simple services any venue would do). She then had employ the bridesmaids for help! They couldn't enjoy time with me in the bridal suite bc they were either trying to get the staff to help or do the work themselves. Also during reception, when guests were going to the buffet table, I myself had to ask the staff to set up a table for my husband and I to eat dinner off stage (Procedure i specified weeks before the wedding) In addition, a person from our decorator's team trampled a flower bunch with their ladder. One of the Addison owners yelled at the worker (not the decorator in charge) in a very humiliating and belittling manner. It was disgustingly unprofessional and rude of Addison. I dont think that person knew english that well and was unable to defend himself. Aside from this, the decorators shouldn't have trampled the flower bed. But Addison charged me $500 for the damage. (which is fine bc the decorator re-imbursed us) Btw there is no way the damage would cost $500, it was would be $60 the most. If you lasted this long in reading my review, then realize, dropping ~$80,000 for a wedding @ Addison is NOT worth it. I just wish i knew b4!!! I was just here for a friend's wedding and it was amazing! The decor is classy black and white all around, and the entrance with the staircases running up both sides a perfect place for photos. I could live on cocktail hour and this one did not disappoint. Seafood, Italian, Asian, and more! I really enjoyed the sushi, cavatelli and the dumplings! I definitely filled up here. When we then entered the reception area we were given a salad of what I believe was gorgonzola, walnuts and a pear. The pasta course was your choice of a red sauce or alfredo (I went for the latter! Yum!) and for dinner your options were a seafood platter, stuffed pork chop, filet mignon, or a French roast chicken. I went with the chicken and enjoyed. I think everyone who got the filet mignon at my table devoured it. Venetian hour was grand but not overdone. The cannolis and rainbow cookies were amazing and I could've had them all night! All in all it was a great wedding and I hope I'm back at Addison Park soon! read more

I attended a family wedding here recently. I had been to the place on several occasions when it was another venue and it was fair . This time however I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and beautiful decor. More importantly, the staff was amazing! The waiter treated us as if we were in a restaurant. The bartenders came around and cleaned drinks off the table and asked if people wanted anything else, the attendant in the bathroom was extremely friendly and entertaining, as well. All in all a wonderful experience, and I'd love to point out that the staff made this a most enjoyable evening! read more

I've been holding off on writing this review hoping to get over it but I simply cannot. When I first visited Addison park, I fell in love. The stairs, the black and white, the elegance. However, I soon learned that the employees are SCAM ARTISTS. You CANNOT trust these people. Being that my wedding was two years away and that my fiancé and I are both students, we weren't sure what our schedule would be like two years down the road- so we asked about their policy in the event that we need to reschedule. ED told us everything we would want to hear: we can just reschedule and our deposit gets transferred. At that point we were so excited and ready to book. So he handed us the contract (quiet frankly most people do not read contracts before they sign them, but being that I'm a law student I knew better than to sign my life away) to my surprise the contract stated the exact OPPOSITE of what Ed told us!!! We were astonished. After that we tried negotiating the contract but we ended up going in circles. We even tried switching over to Anthony to deal with him instead but he was the same way. They kept changing the prices on us and claiming they didn't say things that they had. We went to Addison about 2 more times after that (ready to put a deposit each time) but we never felt comfortable enough to. Mind you, they didn't even know my NAME. How do you not know your brides name?? Would they have known my name on my wedding day?? Also they NEVER honored their own word and were pure LIARS. My fiancé thought it was crazy that I was so turned off that I actually walked away because I'm usually very persistent in what I want and usually end up getting it. But I could not trust them with the best day of my life. They didn't even have our money yet and were already playing games with us!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! read more

The place is beautiful, the food is good, but the people were difficult to deal with. I attended a wedding there last month and was dismayed at the services provided to the wedding party. Addison had 2 weddings taking place at the exact same time so perhaps their resources were compromised. The staff was unwelcoming and intolerant of children. The on-site wedding party coordinator behaved like a drill sergeant. She was extremely rude to everyone and provided incorrect guidance so many pictures were missed due to the major confusion that she caused. The worst of the circumstances was that the area given to the bridal party to take pre-ceremony pictures was not much larger than what a basic swing set would cover and there were animal feces all over the ground. So the bride ran her dress and her shoes (along with the rest of the bridal party who had full length gowns) through the feces. Appearance and food quality are certainly important to ensure guests have a good time but not at the expense of an unhappy Wedding party. read more

My husband and I had our wedding here last weekend and I am still blown away by the level of professionalism, service, and quality of food. Anthony helped us every step of the way. He was prompt in gathering information, returning phone calls, and most importantly was able to accommodate our every request. Besides how gorgeous the AP is, the food is phenomenal. Our guests are still raving about how delicious and plentiful everything was. Sal was our amazing maitre D' and he was attentive to our every need. My bridal attendant Ellen was also fantastic. The bridal suite had a mini cocktail hour set up for us. However, if there was anything else we wanted the bridal attendant Brought it right away. One of our entree selections was filet mignon and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We had a pasta and soup choice. Our soup was lobster bisque and it tasted like it was from a high end seafood restaurant. I am so thankful and grateful to have gotten married at such an amazing venue. We will definitely be back for other major events in the future and I will reccomend any future bride and groom to have their wedding here. read more
