I searched for a sterling silver picture frame, and ShoptheAddison offered one for $199., discounted. It arrived quickly, only it wasn't what I expected, at all. A silver fascia pressed over a plastic frame. No visible silver markings anywhere on the frame (but for a paper label designating it as sterling, past to the box). For all I know, it's polished aluminum. I really should return it, but just anther hassle from a China front. read more

I ordered an expensive Olivia Reigel Mirror Tray with Swavorski crystals as a gift for my wife. The mirror tray just sits on my wife dresser. We had it for about 18 months and a decorative bead fell of. Not what you would expect when you pay for higher quality. When I reached out to Shop The Addison for support they ignored my emails and finally responded when I texted them that they couldn't help me because it was ordered to long ago and that they recommend gluing it back together. AVOID AND SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE! Shockingly unprofessional, unresponsive staff whose customer service would be unacceptable even at a dollar store or taco bell, but is even more appalling and completely disjointed from reality given the expensive products they sell. I placed an order online for a few hundred dollars, and after a week of no communication or updates, contacted them requesting an update. A few more days later and no response, about 1.5 weeks after the order was placed, they abruptly canceled my order last minute right before Christmas, citing out of stock. BUT and here is where it gets even better, the item is re-posted and available on their site for a higher price. They issued a refund but wasted 2 weeks of my time and left me without a specific gift right before Christmas despite me sending emails well in advance asking them for an update on my order which were ignored. How often do you see a business on Yelp with so many poor reviews by everyone? If you are thinking about buying a product that is hundreds or thousands of dollars why would you shop at a place like this, read the reviews and don't subject yourself to a bad experience. I wish I found their yelp reviews before my purchase but now I hope this helps someone else. After this fiasco and having 2 days to reorder the xmas gift, I contacted Daum crystal directly... Daum was very responsive, polite, called me back within 30 minutes, placed the item on hold in the store and I will have it in time for Christmas. Let the contrast in experience underscore what garbage Addison is. The bottom line is, skip the shady middle man and just shop with the professionals directly, even if its a few $ more. I have shopped in this location for several years in Florida. It's good for a quick hostess gift, but not for expensive items that you can get elsewhere for less. I won't be going back ! I bought a purse, it was not an expensive purse, but yet i didn't think it would it fall apart at the seams. I have shopped there for years, they know me! Ordered a Christmas present in the beginning of December on their website. I suddenly got an email on 12/16 saying they were out of stock and could send me a gift card instead; not sure why the item did not say Out of Stock on the website. Needless to say, missed giving a present at Christmas and the gift card never showed up. Further, it is now 1/8 and I have yet to receive the item, any sort of ship confirmation, and I emailed customer service yesterday with no response. What they sent me were a deceased person's used, filthy dirty frames And claimed that's how they were advertised. One of the frames had shattered glass and all of them were so gross I had to wash my hands after handling them. They misrepresented the merchandise, misled me and are refusing to refund the money. I'm going through my credit card company to get credited but I would say this company committed a fraud and should be censured by the local chamber of commerce and BBB. STAY AWAY!!!!! I ordered the Rondure Sculpture from Addison Collection (Shop the Addison) and paid for it with my credit card. I received an email confirmation of my order. Two days later (after my credit card showed the transaction completed) I received an email and paypal invoice for $20 in shipping. I called and emailed them inquiring about the charge and was told it was because it was over-sized (the item is 19"x19"x24" and weighs approximately 16 lb). The customer service rep offered a refund which I refused since I still wanted the item. Instead I requested that a manager call me back. A few minutes later they sent an email cancelling the order and claiming that they refunded the money (the credit card does not show a refund yet). When I checked the Addison Collection website they had increased the price of the item by $100 and then a few minutes later they deleted the item entirely. read more

I ordered a gift for a friend who lives in Quebec Canada and had it shipped. Only to find out later that I have to pay $135 for customs which was half of the cost of the gift...this was not disclosed to me when I went to check out the product from their website. When I complained she emailed me the fine print disclosure saying customers are responsible for customs but not telling me how much that cost would be at the time of purchase. Had I known this I would not have shopped from them. I would of purchased it from Nordstrom that ships it without customs. I Will never shop there again and I will file a complain with the better business bureau. It's not a surprise that they have bad reviews. read more

This place has really fine merchandise, but there customer service skills are terrible ! Most places when you spend several thousand dollars with that company , will give you a tracking number, etc. or a heads up of some sort, and they did not. When I called to get that info, the person on the phone seemed unfriendly and uninterested and almost like I was bothering him. Do not buy from this company!! Their prices are competitive, but buyer beware of very poor customer service. I ordered a few items 2 weeks ago. The company charged my credit card only to tell me later that the items were on back order. I don't know of any online company that charges for goods until they are ready to be shipped and in stock. I have tried emailing and leaving a voicemail for the company regarding the status of these "backordered" items. I have received no return phone call. I finally received an email with the following " We are waiting on a XYZ product to arrive into the warehouse, which we expect any day now." No clear expectations as to when the product will arrive at their warehouse or when I will receive it. If I do not get some sort of feedback from the company with a definitive date, I will be asking for a refund or contacting my credit card regarding a dispute. read more

I would strongly suggest not doing business with this store, and would usually never make such a statement. I ordered 4 serving pieces in August and once I paid, was informed that they were not in stock, despite what was posted. I needed to follow up repeatedly. I finally received 3 of the 4 pieces several weeks later with no acknowledgement of the missing tray. After calling again several times, the item finally arrived third week of November. It had clearly been shipped damaged. I was told that a replacement was in stock and would be shipped out immediately. When I did not receive it several days later, I called and was told that there was no replacement and no ETA. The employees are rude and indifferent. In my experience, they have no motivation to satisfy the customer or to follow through that merchandise is received and in satisfactory condition. Furthermore, they reflect poorly on the Beatriz Ball merchandise that they are distributing. One star is far more than they deserve! read more

Addison collection has nice merchandise, but poor customer service. I ordered a pricey photo frame as a shower gift TWO weeks ago, and I finally received an email now stating it will ship out! After I received an email stating it will take awhile to ship, I had emailed the person back stating that I needed this for a gift so this will not work. There was no response. If I had ordered the frame elsewhere for the exact same price I would have definitely had the gift in time for the shower. (Two weeks is how long it took to ship.... Went in to replace bag and the salesgirl and owner would not even think of replacing the the bag even thought there were several in the store, even the same color. Then when you complain that you ordered the item several days ago and need it for an event they say "so sorry" we're a small company and can't afford to expedite shipping EVEN THE MISTAKE WAS THEIRS. They use your money for as long as they can while not shipping your merchandise. I have since learned that others have had the exact same experience with them so it appears to be a strategy rather than a mistake. We ordered two wooden boxes as gifts. They were described on the Addison website as "finely crafted Italian wooden box". We are VERY disappointed to have received the merchandise clearly marked "Made in China"!! The quality and craftsmanship certainly does not reflect the $178 price tag in any way and is extremely deceptive. If we wanted "meh" ... an average quality, mass produced box ... we could have purchased one for $49.99 at our local Walmart. We were looking for the unique, "luxury boutique" item that your website suggested. As was stated from my first contact with your company we had a time constraint which did not allow us to find a replacement. When calling customer service to request a price adjustment reflecting the actual product they sold, we were told they would change the description to "Italian design" and we were offered a discount off a future order! ... why would we place a future order with this company?? Their lack of concern for customer satisfaction, coupled with blatantly deceptive descriptions of the merchandise shows us a company we would NOT do business with in the future. My husband and I ordered my mother a glass sea globe for christmas. When I received my package, there was no "fragile" marking anywhere on the packaging. So of course the glass globe was broken and sand was everywhere. I contacted the company with the phone number that was on my receipt, and I was told I needed to send an email containing pictures of the broken product. So I did so, and heard nothing back. Then when my husband called, the man who answered said my email went into their spam folder!! He then preceded to tell us that they were going to have to make a claim with UPS because it was their fault the package was broken, and UPS would pick up the package for the return when they make the claim. Well..it has been over a week and a half and my package STILL has not been picked up. I have even spoke to the UPS delivery person, and he has told me he doesn't have a claim to pick up the package. So there for, you are either lying to me and my husband about giving us a refund for the broken garbage you sent us, or you're just a terrible terrible company that doesn't care about your customers. You should be ashamed. You've lost us as customers. read more

I would give them negative five stars but yelp does not allow this. The Addison collection is a rip off site with damage merchandise and assess bogus fees - I completed my order with them online. I have never been in the store and saw the bag I wanted on the net and the link brought me to the addison collection and I ordered it since Mary Frances had them listed as a dealer. I did not get the bag I ordered in the first go round - they sent me a christmas tree instead of a signed guitar bag. I called them they arranged for a pick up and replacement. Weeks went by and the sent me the correct bag which of course was poorly constructed and the glue was lose and gummy-defective. I called and that bag was supposed to be replaced- however, they just sent me the exact same defective bag right back to me (unchanged). I call them and returned the bag to them for the third and final time and ask for my money back. They sent me some money and kept some money for their troubles this is unacceptable. the Addison collection owes me 25.00. They sent me someone else's return and wanted me to pay for them to mail it to some other sucker. Never buy from them they (Butch) are thieves with crappy defective products. read more
