Really like this restaurant depot. The employees are all pretty cool, and I can almost always find what I'm looking for. Great selection of seafood with competitive pricing. It feels like they have literally everything. I love their seafood selection.

If you own a business, you can save a lot on food and restaurant related purchases here. Some of the savings are a bit better than you would get at a Costco, or Sam's Club warehouse plus membership is free. This one and I guess the other Restaurant Depots are in a warehouse type building. You also likely will only be able to buy items in bulk with maybe a few exceptions so make sure you have the room and probably refrigeration room available to store. I have an EIN # for a business that I used. You can also use a DBA certificate or LLC certificate to get a membership here as long as it is valid.

U1 tiger shrimp. Rotten/smelly to the core.

This place is a dump! No one around to assist, I purchased some U4 tiger shrimp and they were rotten. When I brought them back to my place they smelled and I was sick after the first bite. I would not patronize any restaurant that comes in and purchases perishable foods from this place and then puts them in their hot car for transport. This is why the food industry has HACCP regulations. This is a wholesale food store for hitchhiker restaurants. Never again.

    Packaged seafood & lox

This is where the restaurants shop. This huge warehouse has fresh produce, tanks of seafood & fish, meats, cold cuts, salads, flowers & cheese. Kitchen items, paper goods, place settings & cleaners along with restaurant size appliances. Lots of frozen restaurant style prepared foods from mozzarella sticks, fried shrimp, Gyro meat, ravioli, onion rings ... Packaged goods, baked goods, condiments, drinks, snacks & frozen goods fill this endless warehouse where flatbeds not carts rule. All the brand names we love from cans of Phillips of Baltimore crabmeat, David's cookies, bounty paper towels, nuts, charcoal, paper towels, Windex...

Empty customer access shelf of product they currently have over 100 in stock

Currently waiting for help after contacting freezer manager and two other freezer employees...item is seaweed salad that is out of stock on the shelf but shows, as per the very helpful receptionist Ivana, there are over 100 in stock (but not on customer access shelf). Ivana actually left her station to personally go and enter the freezer to help us. She called multiple other employees to help her and no one answered...so. It only are employees not helping the customers asking for help they are also not helping their coworkers. Now waiting for nearly 30 minutes for any help...none...except for Ivana.

Do you have to be a restaurant owner to shop there? Do you have a knife sharpening service on the premises?

You just need a business license from any type of business. You have to have a liquor license to purchase alcohol. There is knife sharpening service at Ace hardware on Atlantic avenue. They do not do it here.

Do you sell 12 inch plates?

Yes. They have all sizes. I like to check online to see if the specific one I want Is in stock. They have all sizes and shapes. Check on Restaurantdepot.com

You don't need over-priced Brand Name pots and pans to make an excellent Veal Marsala or Chicken…read morePiccata.... and no need to use budget minded crap either. Best bet is to get very fair priced but excellent kitchen wares from a reputable store like The Restaurant Warehouse. As far as I can tell, the store specializes in providing supplies for restaurants; everything from pots/pans to deep fryers and condiment bottles to glassware and knives, even everything a pizza shop could ever dream of. But at the same time, everything a person needs for their home can be purchased here too... We got tired of buying thousand dollar sets of pots/pans from Caphalon... and the sets always include numerous pieces that are too small to be useful and always lack the over-sized that we need (we cook BIG). We ended up purchasing all new pots/pans here a couple weeks ago and got all the "right" sizes and types of pans we needed, including the over-sized we needed and only got the smaller ones that we actually wanted. The guys at the shop were patient in assisting us and never pressured us into buying more than we needed or extra stuff we won't use. We've even returned to check out some other things and now are buying mixing bowls. Everyone here provided top notch customer service.

First off, I love cooking. I'm a foodie at heart. When I first moved to South Florida 2 years ago,…read moreI found Culinary Convenience on Yelp and was very curious. And it's OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!!! Not just for chefs. Yayyyyyy. Fast forward to 2021 and I had asked my chef friend for a recommendation on a place to get my Henckels knife set sharpened. He immediately suggested Culinary Convenience and told me to ask for Aaron Michaels who is the owner. Well, this convo was about 6 month ago as I slacked and never made it here. I had to drop someone off to Ft. Lauderdale Airport and was heading to a local coffee shop when I drove by this store and remembered the name and realized it was the chef supply store I've been dying to visit. Funny how things work. It's a cool store with dreamy chef and kitchen toys galore. I swear I took about an hour just strolling through the store taking my sweet time admiring everything. They have EVERYTHING!!! Chef's uniforms, shoes, aprons, bakeware, pots, pans, knives, serving dishes, the small stuff, the big stuff...just EVERYTHING! I asked questions and started talking with Allison. She was very friendly and helpful. I was mesmerized by the Breville Smoking Gun and have been eyeing this for years now. I really want one. The one they had at the store is a professional grade one, not like the one you see at Williams-Sonoma or Sur la Table. She noticed I was curious and asked if I wanted to see a demonstration. Heck yes!!! She showed me step by step how to use it and it was ridiculously cool. Yes, I still want one!!! Ha. I inquired about knife sharpening and got more info on that. I also started looking at the Japanese knives as I've been wanting a really nice Japanese chef's knife too. They had a beautiful selection of gorgeous knives. I've been wanting a Damascus style Japanese knife. Allison helped me by answering all my questions. She pulled out the MIyabi and Kikuichi knives. The Miyabi caught my eye. I love the design and simplicity. It's a sexy AF knife!!! They didn't have the Miyabi chef's knife I wanted but said they were currently on order. A gentleman who noticed I was having a hard time deciding on the knives told me the Miyabi is a wonderful option and introduced himself as Aaron, the owner. I said hi and told him the story of my friend who initially sent me here. Aaron knew exactly who I was talking about. We started chatting about our mutual friend, the hospitality industry, how he started his business and a funny story about his brother. Aaron has a very enthusiastic vibe and energy about him. I love his excitement when he talks about things. He was down to earth and so fun. He even pulled out his phone to take a selfie of us to send to our mutual friend. Funny too because I was thinking about doing the same thing. Haha. Needless to say, I really had a wonderful experience at Culinary Convenience and I may end up spending too much money here. I eventually came back because Allison called me the next day to let me know the knife I wanted arrived after I left the store. I came back a few days later and bought the said beautiful sexy AF Miyabi Japanese knife. And brought my knives in to get sharpened too. I also met Kieran, the store manager, who was also very helpful regarding my knives that needed sharpening. Bottom line, excellent spot for all your kitchen needs. Be careful, you might go browsing and leave with a gorgeous Japanese knife. Haha. It's not a terrible thing either. I'm madly in love with my knife. Huge difference even cutting veggies and herbs. Go check it out ASAP! You won't regret it. Thanks Aaron, Allison and Kieran for the amazing customer service. I need to come back for that Breville Smoking Gun, because everyone needs one of those right?

I told him just forget it because he didn't even seem like he was interested in helping me so I walked away. I then go grab the two different catfish nuggets and bring to cash register!
