Gusto Waffles

The staff were very delightful, they were welcoming with open smiles as soon as I walked in. Their coffee was very good. Highly recommend their Honey Vanilla Latte. As well as their Gusto waffles.

The cafe is cute inside but when it's busy, it is crowded with chairs and tables. The service was mixed based on the barista. My cold brew was okay but not great. My daughter enjoyed her latte and an avocado toast.

We enjoyed our lattes. I tasted the cayenne mocha and it was nice. My latter was the honey nutmeg, and enjoyed it. The latte art was super cute too. I'd like to try the matcha on my next visit.

We just wanted a quick coffee but the wait was so long. I wish they could have given us a heads up about the wait for two small lattes. However the coffee was good wouldn't go out of my way though next time.

I enjoyed my time as Addis. On the corner on oak park avenue, Addis spices things up with their Ethiopian flare to coffee, non caffeinated beverages and breakfast dishes. Walking in, it appears to be a large space. However it's a smidge crowded in regards to how they set the tables. I ordered the chechebsa dish for $8,00 and it's a Ethiopian heavily spice flatbread dish sprinkled with honey. I never had it before but this was really good. A little dry for my liking but i had the berry smoothie to wash it down. I will be returning to try other dishes.

As it's a cafe, I should start by reviewing the food and drink options. There's a great variety of coffee options available, so whether you're a "coffee traditionalist" or someone who likes to try something new, you're likely to find something that you like on the menu. I love the iced turmeric latte, but I would trust them with any kind of coffee. The food options are fresh and fresh, whether you're looking for something sweet or savory. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their wares, and they're great at helping you find something that satisfies your tastes. And it's all done in a very calm, casual environment. I'm surprised that it faces onto a fairly busy street, but inside it's very quiet and easy to relax. Absolutely worth a visit if you're looking for great coffee!

Lovely place!

Day 1 of my Oak Park Coffee Tour! Finding all the best spots for a cup of Joe. My go-to coffee order is usually an iced matcha, but this place had so many unique coffees that I felt I had to try something different. I got their cayenne mocha, which was absolutely beautiful. A lovely mocha with just a hint of spice, a perfect balance of sweet and a kick. I also got a scone, which was yummy. Buttery and with pieces of craisin which I always appreciate. I sat at a table by the window and did some work. The one thing is that the service was a bit slow, I waited around 10 minutes to get my 2 things, but it was a pretty busy day so understandable. This is a great place to work, but it also looked popular with families, who seemed to enjoy all the yummy waffle flavors they had. There is also a cute outside area which I did not take advantage of (hot coffee on hot day dont mix well) but will have to check out in the future. Lovely jams, coffee, and people- what a great way to start my Coffee Tour! Thanks Addis!

Special: Rose water latte

This is a small cafe in a neighborhood within walking distance from the train station and close to Rush Oak Park Hospital. They opened early at 7 am which was a convenient option for me before I needed to head to the hospital. I ordered one of the special coffees, rose water latte. I had it iced. It had a strong rose scent so I liked it very much. Usually flavored coffees don't have their claimed flavors so I was happy to try the rose water latte there. I also got Savory waffles because the pictures on here look good. The waffles did taste amazing. I liked all the healthy ingredients (avocado, bell pepper, etc) included in the waffles. However, I wish they could have told me there's blue cheese in them because I dislike blue cheese. They did ask for my preference for spicy level. The Savory waffles were barely spicy. I was going to order one of their special foods but they said it's spicy so I didn't order it. 1 star off because it was very hot in there and NO GUEST WIFI. I wonder if the AC was working while I dined in there. I would come again in spring or fall when it's not too hot or too cold.

Savory waffles and 12oz Cold Brew

Came to Addis Cafe on Saturday afternoon. We ordered an Iced Matcha 16oz ($6), 12oz Cold Brew ($4.25 I think), and Savory Waffles ($11). Loved the cold brew especially on the almost 80F day today, and the savory waffles were okay but were even better with some hot sauce (I'm the person that drowns everything they eat in hot sauce, so this is just a 'me' issue lol). Service was fantastic! All in all, this is a great neighborhood cafe to hang out and study at in Oak Park!

Caramel waffles

I am a Michigander but I often visit the area with my parents. I affectionately say my dad is a dad dasher because he dashes Addis Cafe food to me. But I finally stepped foot in their restaurant. Cozy space with great energy - toys for little ones to play with and spaces for people to do remote work. Service was with a smile!! So happy with what I ordered - the caramel waffles and a latté.

So slow - room 29 mins to make a latte- I get the flavorful coffee approach but pouring hot water over a filter was too much

It was missing the cream shown on the menu, and I know how it should look since I've ordered before. I understand they may have run out since it was late (around 8:45pm), but it's disappointing that no one informed us. They could've at least explained it to the person picking up the order instead of saying nothing. I ended up paying full price for an incomplete product. -also, at least at the NorthRiver Side location, the sugar level option doesn't seem to be respected. Whether you ask for 25% or 50%, the drinks always taste like 100%. If that can't be controlled, it shouldn't be listed as an option. -as a frequent customer, I used to earn points and redeem them for a free boba, a couples weeks ago I was told that option was no longer available. I really like the drinks here, but overall there needs to be better communication and more transparency with customers.

I like how there are pieces of fresh peach in there. My family members are fans of the mango slush drink. Usually, you order everything at the kiosks, and then they will call out your name. There are a few food options like mini pancakes. Side note: If you spend a certain amount at the nail salon next door (Future Nails) you get a complimentary drink from The Wolf.
