Rude and incompetent. You go there for a service appointment and no one greets you or tells you where to go, do, etc. Too many people and no one knows whats going on. I had parts they ordered for me under two versions of my name, when I asked if both were used they don't give me an answer just start an attitude. They didn't really listen to my situation and tried to charge me for something that would not solve my problem. My jeep wrangler doesn't have heat currently. The radiator was replaced 3 years ago and the heater coil replaced in 2017 and 2018. Both times the core was replaced the coolant system was flushed. This was all done at a dealership back in Michigan and was communicated to Adamson's service department. After dropping my car off early in the morning, I get a call around 4pm recommending a $360 coolant system flush. We later explained that we have done that twice and that we want the heater core checked for leaks so it can be replaced since it has a two year warranty. They kept saying they have to "start from ground zero" and flush the system before they check the heater core. I was not going to pay almost $400 just to have the heat not work again, then pay even more for labor installing the new heater core. Picked up my car after paying a $60 diagnostic fee, despite nothing really being completed on my jeep. Taking it to a different dealership that actually listened to us and will be replacing the heater core. read more

First of all, Dave in the service department and the tall guy (don't know his name) in the body shop office are awesome! They were both clearly "customer first" people! That said, there were also a fair number of not-so-customer-first people. In the Parts dept, there was one customer in front of me and 4 guys working in the department. The three guys in back had no interest in helping customers. They just left it to the young man in front, so I stood there for about 20 minutes waiting. When the young guy finally got to me, he couldn't even help me because it was a warranty issue. In the Cashier's office, when I was picking up my vehicle, the woman interrupted serving me to take a phone call. In the Drive-through service department, when I drove in, I was greeted with, "Are you here for an oil change?" When I responded no, and explained the work I was getting done, he said, "You can go back to the body shop," and he abruptly walked away. He gave me no information on where to park, what to do with my key fob, or even where the body shop was located. This became an issue later because of my long wait in the parts department, my car ended up blocking the drive-through. I have been to your shop twice, and both times I had to go to all four of these "departments." Most customers would consider my experiences there as "the run-around." Your entire system needs to be re-done. This is my first experience with Adamson service, and I'm telling you, you could learn something from Tom Kadlec Honda. In the 18 years I was a Kadlec customer, I was always greeted immediately by someone who is friendly, knowledgeable, empowered, and actually wants to help me. I am never sent from one department to the next (as I have been on both occasions I have visited Adamson). The person who greets me at Kadlec is empowered to make any necessary decisions to help the customer. This is not true at Adamson. I know the Kadlec service person by name not because they wear a name tag but because I only talk to ONE PERSON, and they are able to take care of my needs. It seems to me like Adamson employees are trained to send customers to a different department. It also seems to me that the least experienced employee is the one who gets "stuck" interacting with the customer. The whole culture at Adamson needs to be re-oriented to customers first. Your employees need to be empowered to help the customer with whatever they need. Some of your employees need to be taught to be kind, welcoming, and have a customer-first attitude. When I buy a brand new car, I don't really expect to need warranty work done in the first 3000 miles. However, I understand how it could happen. In the (hopefully) rare case that warranty work is needed on a car that is 3 months old, I would certainly expect to be treated better than I was at Adamson. Again, the two individuals I mentioned recognized that I was being given the run-around and tried to prevent it, but they were not empowered to do so. I mistakenly bought a "Comprehensive Maintenance" plan when I bought my new car. I now have three oil changes left on that plan. Adamson has that long to change their system and their culture in the "Service" department before they lose me as a customer. While traveling from Texas to Minneapolis, on one of the coldest days in January 2022, my 2001 Jeep Wrangler threw a belt and broke a pulley on the freeway. Went here for an oil change the other day. There was a bit of miscommunication concern what the price would be, but they worked hard to make it up to me. Every single person I dealt with was polite and helpful. Service was fast, and their prices were good. The place was clean, well kept, and had what I needed while I waited for my oil change and tire rotation. Quick, easy, no BS service at Adamson Motors. We have purchased a new Jeep Cherokee through Adamson, in addition to having the Jeep serviced, and both our car salesman (Alex Mayer) and the Service Department were kind and courteous from beginning to end- not so typical for your average dealer. When purchasing our Jeep, we felt that we could trust Alex and the prices offered. When our "perfect" model was not in-stock at their dealership, they looked for it at other dealers and picked it up for us. Alex continues to help us when needed, months after purchasing the vehicle, which is greatly appreciated! The Service Department is quick and courteous, with absolutely no issues experienced in our first service of the Jeep. Prices are fair and the waiting area is quite comfortable. The Short Story: The service we received from Adamson Motors' Tire Department was slow, the manager was rude and defensive, and the staff and management were unconcerned with our complaints. The long story: My fiancee', Laura, got a flat tire on her 2013 Hyundai Elantra on the way to work. She contacted Hyundai Roadside Assistance, and a tow truck was dispatched with orders to deliver the car to Adamson Motors, who is the Hyundai dealer in the area. The tow truck arrived around 8:00 and left with the car shortly thereafter. Laura was instructed to contact Adamson Motors to let them know the car was brought in. She contacted Adamson at their main number, and was transferred several times until she was finally instructed to leave a voicemail message with the tire department. She left a message and received no return call. About 9:00, she called again, and again, no one could help her and she was again told to leave a voicemail. Since she's an elementary school teacher, it was difficult for her to keep leaving messages or receive calls, so she asked me to call. I called their service department and was transferred to the voicemail. I left a message instructing them to call me at my work number. At 10:30, I was beginning to get fed up with no return call, so I sent an email to the Tire Manager, Roger, as well as to the Service Manager and General Manager of Adamson Motors. Again, no response to that email. At noon, I stepped out for my lunch break and noticed there was a message that was left at 11:45 on my cell phone (not the number I asked them to call). It was Roger, the tire manager, asking me to call him on his cell phone. I was preparing to return the call, but Laura called me before I could do that. Laura told me she had just gotten off the phone with Roger, who was very rude to her. He essentially claimed the tow truck driver dropped off the car without alerting anyone at Adamson, and that they had no clue what to do with it (never mind it clearly had a flat tire and that Roger hadn't bothered to return any calls prior to 11:45). Roger also stated that they're booked out for a week and that he wouldn't be able to get the new tire installed until the next day. He also lamented to Laura about the fact that I sent the email, and copied the managers on it. I sent another email to the Service Manager and General Manager with my displeasure of their unprofessional customer service. Again, the email went unanswered. Laura received another message from Roger around 3 PM, and when she finished school for the day around 4, she returned his call, only to get the voicemail again. She waited until 4:30, and tried to call him again, and he actually answered his phone. At this point he asked if she was dissatisfied with Adamson's service, because he found out I sent another email. She stated that she was, in fact, disappointed with the service, and then Roger began making excused and telling her she was being unreasonable. He then told her they would be done with her car in the morning, and the final, out the door cost would be $105. The next day came and went without any calls or emails from Roger, or anyone else from Adamson. At around 5 PM, Laura went to pick it up, and luckily, the tire had been replaced when she got there. She was told then her total would be $111. Not a huge difference, but still not the amount Roger had quoted her. She asked the cashier why the price went up, and the cashier was unsure, but Laura could talk to Roger about it if she wanted. Laura was so over the whole experience, she just left with her car. It should also be noted that some small items left in the car had disappeared. It's probably unwise to leave anything worth any value in a car while it's being repaired, but regardless, it just soured Laura's experience even more. Laura and I have notified Hyundai Customer Care about the problems we've had with Adamson Motors, and we certainly will never be going back. In fact, even though Laura and I have Hyundai Roadside Assistance at no charge, I'll be taking out a roadside assistance package through my insurance company just so we don't have to be towed to Adamson Motors ever again. read more

I stopped in one sunny day-always wanted to test drive a Jeep Wrangler. For the hell of it, ya know. I absolutely fell head over heals in love with it-and sat down talked with the salesman. I didn't "need" a car that day, so I wanted to explore all the options with him. Color, sound system, dual top..ect. They found me one that suited my wishes and gave me a good deal on my trade. I will say my 4 star rating comes in when it came time to sign the papers and they literally arm wrestled me on the warranties. I had just worked 2 double shifts and was not interested in being pushed that day. I informed the guy that I would walk away from the entire deal if the pushing didn't stop. I am very aware of lemon laws, and talking to me like I knew nothing about warranties was just making me angry. But I still love my Wrangler-would I buy here again? Possibly. read more

I needed service done on my vehicle to check some squeaky wheels and a blinker light being out. I called Tuesday and set up a 1:00pm appointment for Friday. They promised that it wouldn't take much longer than an hour to fix everything as I told them I worked at 4:00pm that evening. I showed up about 12:50pm for my appointment. My car has yet to be even taken into the service center and it is now 3:30pm. They at least alerted me around 2:00pm that my car had yet to be taken into the service center, and said it was about to be worked on soon. They did offer me a shuttle service to work, but it doesn't do me much good to get to work without a way to get back home or to the service shop after I am dropped off. I just hope that someone at work is willing to drive 20 minutes out of town to drop me off at my house at 1am when I get off work. Haven't yet figured out how I will be getting back to work at 9am tomorrow. Absolutely unacceptable to have an appointment time set up days in advance and be promised that your car will be finished before work and then have your car sit in the parking lot the ENTIRE time before you have to be escorted to work. 2.5 hours I have wasted. Now I need to inconvenience people tonight and tomorrow morning just in order to get to and from work. EXTREMELY disappointed. read more

Asked salesman after the test drive to talk to his sales manager and get back to me with best price they could do. An hour later the salesman reached out to me and said best they can do is $81,000. I said "price on the mirror hanger said $79,999. 60 minutes later, price up to 81k?" Was told, "the vehicle is no longer at that price." Fine, I'm no longer interested. I bought a used car recently and as part of the purchase agreement they were to repair a dent and scrape where paint was missing. When I got the car back, I was extremely dissatisfied with the job that was done. It was done with single stage paint (think of a can of spray paint) that has no clearcoat on top. It had no shine, the dents were still visible, as were the sanding marks in the bondo and the paint job had orange peel texture. It will cost a minimum of $1800 to have the car fixed right and all the used car manager Jerry can say is "well, its better isn't it?" Over and over again in my face! Rude, childish, unprofessional, and frankly the worst customer service I have ever seen. I now have a car that is worth much less than I paid and will cost much more to repaint! I will never recommend them to anyone, save your money and go elsewhere! read more

I was over charged by about $150-$200 from the service department. I dropped my vehicle off on a Friday and it wasn't done until Monday around 4pm whenever I was told it would be done by mid morning Monday. I had a 4wheel alignment done, wheel balancing, a part added on that only takes about 45min to install for a beginner mechanic who's never done it before. I also had a front stabilizer put on, I did the leg work myself so it was literally as simple as tightening nuts so maybe 20min labor at most. I was called and told one of the nuts was to small so the threads were bad. I told the service advisor that I would call the company and get a new bracket sent out and I would install myself. I then proceeded to call the company and ordered a new bracket to be sent to my residence. About 1.5 hours later, I was called and said the tech was able to install the stabilizer bar and retapped the threads and put a larger nut on. I was irritated as I didn't know they were going to be doing this as I told them I would install it myself. My original quoted price was $301 for all this and then my bill ended up being $527. I had them add on wheel balancing so minus the wheel balancing my bill ended up being $151 difference which is mind blowing. Please note that I would've put all these parts on myself but ran out of time before my alignment appointment. I figured the dealership needs money during this pandemic so I figured I would have them install these parts so I didn't have to be rude an cancel an appointment on them last minute. My vehicle was given back to me dirty. Whenever I dropped it off, it was just freshly detailed. Yes, the weather was poor on day of pickup but they never took the time to wipe down my vehicle. The dirt on it was dried so it wasn't new dirt that just got on it by pulling it up front for me. It's a very nice immaculate vehicle so this should've been done especially for what I was being charged. I would have to say I will never go back to this Jeep dealership and the customer service was poor. I hope no one else makes the same mistake as I did. read more

The guy came out and said they do not have a tech to do a key and to make another appointment.....PATHETIC....................horrible service to a customer who has bought many cars there and now will never buy there again. read more

My work schedule prohibits me from getting an oil change during the week. I called ahead to make sure I could get my oil changed Saturday morning. I rearranged my day, drove in from a nearby town, and upon arrival was told they "don't do diesels on Saturday." The gentleman offered no apology for wasting my time. The service here is a complete joke. The first time we brought our vehicle into Adamson it was for a simple oil change a tire rotation and after it there was a terrible smell (hard to breath at times..) inside whenever the heat was turned on. We took it back and had them look everything over and they told us it was normal smell from the heater and we shouldn't be concerned, even though we had never smelt this before. We brought it home, opened the hood and noticed the oil cap wasn't put back on and oil was covering the entire engine bay, so clearly they didn't even look at it the second time it was brought in. The second time we brought our vehicle to Adamson it was for a simple computer system flash which took a couple of days. We picked up and looked it over and found a huge scratch on the hood and one on the passenger side door. We went in and informed a tech who came out to look at it. He saw the scratches, reassured us that his technicians wouldn't do that and told us that they have video surveillance of everything their techs do so he would look at that. I asked if he had surveillance of the parking lot and he told me that they weren't responsible for anything that happens in their lot and that was our fault. He brought me back into the service station so I brought up the oil cap situation the last time we brought it in and asked if this was the service we should normally expect and he told me we could take it to another dealership next time. It has now been 2 weeks and he has not called back and we are stuck with damage to our vehicle once again. So far we have needed simple maintenance done and our vehicles loses significant value each time due to their incompetencies and poor customer service. I would avoid them at all costs... read more

I emailed Adamson motors parts department to see if they had cross bars that would fit my car, I supplied them with the make, model, and VIN number for my car. Along with stating my car and flush side runner. A member of their staff got back to me letting me know that they could order parts that would fit my car. I processed with the process they were ordered and I was notified that the parts came in and I picked them up. The items were in a large brown shipping box that was smashed up a bit. I pulled out the two boxes inside contenting the parts, I noticed the parts they had ordered were incorrect. I called right away but they are not open on weekends. I went back on Monday to see if they could switch out the set they ordered incorrectly and replace it with one that would work for my car. They then came out and looked at my car and took the Vin number down and came back and said they could order the right set and it would be here in 5 days. After this a member of their staff came and told me they could not refund me the money for the set that they ordered wrong because I didn't have the shipping box it came in. No were in their return policy does it say you need to have the shipping box it came in. Now I am out money and have parts that are not usable for my car. read more

I brought my 07 Sebring to Adamson to have the brakes inspected due to squeaks. I was told that the front rotors and pads are shot and the rear pads need to be replaced. I thought that that sounded a bit off for a car that has 30,000 miles on it so I took it elsewhere for a second opinion and was told that I have over 60% of the brakes left in the front and rear. Now thinking this was a large discrepancy between the 2 diagnoses I took the car to a third place, told them what was going on and asked for yet one more opinion. I was told that I have more than half of my brakes left front and rear and more than likely have another 20,000+ miles left depending on how I drive. When I wrote customer service an email describing my experience they did get back to me but basically told me that the other 2 mechanics were wrong. Why would two other mechanics tell me that I don't need work done (ergo, I wont be giving them any money) If my brakes are really as bad as Adamson says? read more

I agree with one of the 'Not recommended reviews'. I have had numerous issues with my Town and Country and I cringe every time I have to think about taking my car there. As with the other reviewer, it always takes multiple time of dropping the vehicle off to get repaired in order for the repair to be completed. Even though they promise the vehicle by a certain time, after making an appointment many days in advance, the car is never ready when promised and they are very dismissive of this fact. If I didn't have to have my warranty work done here, they would never see my smiling face, or pissed off face which is more often the case. Another dealer in town which lives by the FISH philosophy has always provided great service.If you don't have to, just keep driving and don't turn in. read more

While the service was great, the folks friendly and helpful and time spent minimal, I was a little annoyed that I had to basically beg to get the appointment for as late as 2:00, had to take an entire afternoon off and then my car was ready that quickly.
