Called these guys multiple times, last year and they scheduled a day and time to stop by and just never showed up or even called back. Wasted too much time waiting, because our neighbor recommended them. Just know that if you don't get a call back soon... even if you leave a message like once or twice a month... they aren't interested in your business, for whatever reason (IDK). read more

Our tree trimming went well and the crew worked continuously until the job was done. My only disappointment was not being able to use a MileagePlus credit card (even tough the website said that was available) but a personal check was readily accepted. This guy went out and took advantage of my uncle who is older and very kind. He was onsite when trees were cut by Adam's. My sister arranged the agreement over the phone as we live out of state. My sister verified that this company would cut down trees and chop up the wood. They were paid and only cut the trees down. When asked why they didn't chop the wood the guy came up with a number of reasons why they should have charged more when it doesn't matter because they gave a quote and their word and did not complete the assignment but took our money and basically said oh well too bad we should have charged more. A man's word is everything. They took advantage of knowing we were desperate due to the coming storm. No integrity at all. They agreed to do a job and a set price and only did half of the job without feeling a thing about it. Do not hire them. BTW every other company we have called to come and remove the trees didn't believe a company would cut the trees down and leave them lying there without chopping them up as chopping is usually part of the service. Do not hire them. There are other options. And always get everything in writing exactly as agreed prior to paying. They took advantage if the fact we weren't there in person. Have it emailed! But don't use Adam's. They do not honor their agreements. read more

I contacted Adams Tree Service to get an estimate to trim a tree and remove another. Was very pleased with the estimate provided and were at my house the next morning. In less than two hours they had trimmed the tree in the front yard and completely removed the tree in the back yard. They were very friendly and courteous. They did such a good job that after they left you could not tell that there once was a tree in my back yard. Their prices are very reasonable, I highly recommend Adams Tree Service. Very disappointing! I called to schedule a estimate, some called me back on a Friday and I was told they would be over on Wednesday. It was Wednesday at 5pm and I had not heard anything. Called on a Saturday morning at 10 in early October. Was told that his crew would be out at my house around noon. WOW...how fast is that? It's now 3 weeks later and I'm still waiting for a return phone call. They obviously never showed. Went with Texas Tree Team instead and I'm so glad I did. If they don't have the decency to call to say they are running late then they must be so busy that they can afford to blow off customers. read more

The price was the lowest we received, and they got the work done the day after we called them back. They left the site clean and the crew was professional throughout the job. Called at 8 AM, had estimate by 11 AM, Crew came at 4 PM, 40 foot Oak removed, using ropes to stop branches falling and tree removed safely in sections, stump ground, fence reassembled and all branches/wood through chipper/removed. Also cleaned up any debris in neighbors yard. Job completed by 6:15 PM. Price was middle range of 3 estimates. Also ground up another old stump for free. I would use them again - but would like to see them all using safety glasses next time. read more

I've used Adams Tree Services once before and had no complaints - sufficiently good service for them to be my first port of call when I next needed tree trimming/removal service. Emailed them requesting quote early June ; got a call back to arrange a visit, made arrangements - no show, no call. Waited 2 weeks, called them back explaining the previous 'miscommunication', did get a call back arranging a new visit - no show, no call. Waited 1 week. Gave up and called another company ; THEY turned up SAME DAY on time, agreeable price - next day crew turned up as arranged and did the job perfectly. read more

He did half the job I asked. Said he'd come back when the rain let up and never did. He kept apologizing and re-scheduled multiple times. He eventually started ignoring my calls. I suspect my job wasn't worth his time? $1,500 is what he quoted me. Anyways, I have received a quote from a different landscaper for the same work and it's for $950. read more

I called Adam to get a quote and he showed up the next day after later in the evening to help work around my work schedule he was very nice and helpful and spent time looking over all of the trees in my yard. I was given a very good quote and decided to go with his company I called him and he had a team out the next day to start working on trimming and cleaning up my trees. Felipe was the head guy here and he was very friendly and able suggest a couple of products to help with my fruit trees. I have only lived in Houston 18 months now, so I was unfamiliar who to use for the various services around the house. I saw Adams Tree Service advertised in our Church bulletin, and also received their flyer in the mail so I called them up one Friday and they came out that same day to provide a free quote. We initially scheduled the service the following Thursday, but due to weather it had to be cancelled. They promptly rescheduled and were able to work around my work schedule because I wanted to be there for the trimming. After the fact I realized I did not need to be there the entire time, but it was nice to be there in the beginning to reconfirm what was being trimmed. We had 3 large oaks trimmed and two cedar trees removed. The cleanup was great, and they had a four person crew working so the entire process went very quick. They did have to wait for a stump grinder at the end for a little bit, but they were in and out within 3 hours even with this delay. I am not sure how costs compare because this is the first time getting out trees trimmed, but my in-laws told me it was very reasonable for the Houston area. read more

This is a great company to work with. I lost 15 trees a couple years ago because of the pine beatle, and they came out the same day as my estimate and the trees were all gone and cleaned up with 24 hours, and they saved one we thought we would lose. This week I called and got the estimate in the morning and the crew was at my house in the late afternoon to start trimming 19 huge Oaks...they finished the next day and my trees and yard looks amazing, they not only trimmed they cleaned up our yard better then it was when they started. read more

Adam gave me a business card with the price for trimming a tree at my home. We were standing in front of my house. He did not show up to do the work as promised. I spoke with him 3 more time and each time he promised to be at my home to do the work as bid. However during each telephone conversation he asked me how much he told me he would charge for the work. When I told him he groaned and tried to suggest it must have been more until I told him I saw him write it down in his notebook and and still had his business card with the bid price and description of the work. The last time I spoke with him was yesterday and he promised to be at my house this morning. As with each promise before the did not show up and he did not call to say he wasn't coming. if you want someone to do a job as described and as priced when he said he would do it this is not the company. read more

To make way for new sod, I hired Adams to cut down and grind the trunk of a large maple tree in my front yard and grind just the stump of another large maple tree left by the previous owner. I thought they ground the stumps completely. They told me the red dirt they used to cover these areas was to fill in the holes left in the yard. When the company that installed the sod raked the red clay dirt, the stumps were only cut to the level of the grass. I called Adam and their main office a few times a week for two months. The office said they can't do anything but forward the message. Adam promised me at least 10 times that he was either on his way, coming tomorrow or had some excuse as to why he wasn't able to make it. I ended up paying another company to grind the stumps. If you use their service, make sure you look under the red dirt they use to cover up incomplete work before you pay them. read more

We had used Adams Tree Service in the past and was reluctant to have to call on them again. They were the only ones available to handle a couple of trees that we needed to get done asap. We are renting out our home so we explained exactly what we wanted to get done to the owner of Adams Tree Service over the phone. Our renter, who was not aware of what was previously agreed upon, paid Adams Tree Service on our behalf. Adams only did half the job that he was suppose to do and tried to turn things around and confuse the situation by saying that the renter was happy with the job and that he was the one that paid him. Well, he knew damn well that we were the owners and the one that hired him but he would not honor his agreement. We contact the BBB and filed a complaint against him that is still pending. He has since LIED about our previous bad experience with him as well. He is one of the RUDEST, most DISRESPECTFUL person I have ever dealt with. BEWARE!!! There are a lot of other professional tree trimming services that will be fair and not try to RIP YOU OFF!!! read more
