He never came back to finish the job, the thermostats were never installed I was stuck with out heat in the winter. I contacted another company to finish the job thinking Matt had done most of the work and just didnt install the thermostats put on the registers for the returns and a few other small things. Boy was I wrong the company came out and discovered nothing was done to code and half the work wasnt done. The AC systems were not energized and had no fluid. The heating system in the basement wasnt wired up to the breaker, the condenser pump wasnt connected and there was no on and off switch. One of the AC units outside was a different brand then he said he would install. His guys threw out my warranty manual so the new equipments warranty was never registered he said he would get the model number and do it he lied and never came back. None of the AC units were wired up they ran a wire into the house that was just hanging in the ceiling nothing was connected. The wire was outside bare and wasnt covered with a weather proof membrane so it started to root. NOTHING was done up to code the condensate and exhaust line was set 6 inches off the ground they told me if it snows I have to come out and clear the line because if snow covers it my heat would cut off and carbon monoxide would back up into my house. The attic heating units internal wiring was wired wrong, they jumped the wired to constantly call for AC on the board but since they didnt power up the AC the fan on the heater just constantly ran and would never cut off. I also had a vent in the the play room that was feed with soft duct work and in was closed off so no heat got to that room. Also the duct work was installed wrong it is suppose to get smaller as it gets to the vent to push out the forced air. They never reduce the duct size so none of the vents blow forced air it has no pressure. Honestly the amount of issues are too many to list. All in all its costing me an additional $6000 on top of the money I paid Matt to fix the issues. When I asked him to come install the thermostats he told me he was doing me a favor and threatened to punch me in the face. I WAS RIPPED OFF BY THIS GUY. I am working with my lawyer to handle this situation currently, he is a con artist and will turn into a different person as soon as he gets his money from you I made the mistake of paying the final payment to early. To bad I didn't read his Yelp reviews until after I got scammed.

I called several places, but Alex was the first to respond. Over the coming days, as the callbacks came in, I was told that I'd need to schedule a consultation. In contrast, Alex asked if he could stop by that day or the next. Due to a hectic schedule, I asked a friend to be at the house. Alex was very flexible to coordinate with my stand-in. While I was away, knowing I was unable to talk, Alex texted me pictures of the problem and let me know he'd return shortly (something had frozen solid, so it needed t thaw). When he was done, he texted me that the unit was not leveled properly, and it would probably become a problem in the future. I opted not to have it fixed at that time. My bad. Jump ahead to this year... The AC stopped working again this summer. I called Alex on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, and he got right back to me, offering to come Monday (Memorial Day) morning. Again, I scheduled for a stand in, and Alex made himself available right away. He observed something simple and fixed it right away. He also did a full system check up to make sure all levels were fine and everything was working properly. A few weeks later, there was a completely different problem. It related to the system sitting off-kilter. At this point, he offered a fairly expensive fix, but he said it may work or it may be more of a band aid, as the system will need to be replaced in the coming years anyway because 1) it's run its course, and 2) the type of system will become obsolete in 2020. I was skeptical, so I called my brother who is a contractor in Central PA and has a good HVAC guy. That HVAC guy does work all over the east coast, so he'd have some sense of what's what in Philadelphia. He gave some numbers and ideas, and said that Alex was spot-on with his estimate and the info about the system being obsolete in 2020. Alex was all booked up for the week, so he offered to make the quick fix Monday morning at no cost to hold the system over until he was available the following week to replace the unit. Due to a cancelation, he was able to come today. In addition to the normal work, he had to remove a banister to get the unit to the basement, then he found some 60 gallons of water had condensed and filled some part of the unit, and then he built up an area to make sure the new unit was balanced. He did so much extra work, and then he cleaned it all up. AND THEN, because I was at work, he was able to stop by my workplace on his way home for me to pay him. Really incredible work, incredible availability, and incredible communication. And my brother's guy said he was surprised that the price was as low as it was for being in the city. I expect Alex will get too busy for all of that in the near future, but he's my go to now, and I know I can trust him. Further, he's just really nice. I have enjoyed our communication, and I'm really happy to direct business his way.
