This was really meant to be. Penny was sooo nice to answer all of my questions since I am looking for a florist for all my friends birthdays, funeral services (sad) and get well flowers. Heather's Haus Florist is located in a strip mall so there are plenty of parking. Flower deliveriee are FREE for Tinley Park deliveries and they have been in business for over 36 years! THIRTY SIX!!! The shop is super cute with not only flowers but the cutest HANDMADE gnomes made by Penny's mom. Pictures were not allowed which means you should go see the cutest gnomes for a great price for yourself. Lots of fun wreaths and other decorations so it is more than just flowers. For years I never knew the name of this place, and as my garden grew more and more suburban, I kind…read moreof forgot about the Flower Shop on Archer. I mean, it was the place to go to buy flowers to place at gravesites at the cemetery across the street, nothing more. Flash forward, to recent days, where I am getting a bit fussier about my garden and what I grow.... So I ask my mom, "Mom, where do you get your garden plants?" I tell her, the garden center is expensive and everything dies from the Home Depot. She says "that place by the cemetery on Archer. They have lots of unique varieties." Huh? So I go there, to the cash or check only the Flower Shop on Archer Ave. The store is no-frills, but I am not going there for design ideas, I am there for high-quality garden veggies and herbs that will survive and thrive in my garden. Go figure, mom was right - they have great varieties of summer vegetables in stock. Tomatoes are labeled "good for salsa" or "good for slicing" which is quite helpful for me. The prices are more than reasonable. All in all, I bought all my plants for the vegetable garden for under $20. I got a nice perennial for under $4.00 for my shade garden as well. And the family that runs the business is nice and helpful. Yea!
