I had misplaced my keys to my vehicle and needed new ones to be made. I looked on Yelp and was genuinely excited to use Adam since he has multiple 5 star ratings and he responded to my quote quickly. But from there it went downhill. Originally, my quote was $150 for new keys to my car. No problem as that was the price for multiple other locksmiths in the area, however we went with Adam because he said he could be at my house in 15 minutes. My car had issues with it before Adam began his project. My window motor is broken so the window was stuck down, and in order to get to it, you needed to take the door panel off inside the car and pull it up. Adam arrives and immediately gets to work, he is a very hardworking gentleman who does not want to give up on a job. I see this as a blessing and a curse. He came to my house around 1:30 pm and got to work, mainly in my driver side door and my trunk. Adam informed me that he would need the window to go up in order to get to the lock, which wasn't a problem. I let him know that he was able to do what he needed to do in order to get his project done, even if that means taking off the door panel, which he did. But around 3 pm he stopped to tell me that he didn't have the parts necessary to make new keys, and that he needed to get some more keys in order to complete the job. Before he left my house (project incomplete at this point), he mentioned that my final charge would now be $200, since it would be more work, but since he was charging me more, i would be getting 4 keys instead of 1-2. Adam came back to my house to finish the job around 5:35. Ultimately he got the job done, but when I came out to inspect, he informed me that the key he made will not open the trunk anymore (my keys before opened the trunk), and that I would have to use the button inside my car. Not too big of a deal but still a bit inconvenient. My issues with adam's service are listed below: -left my door panel broken inside my car. panel will not go back on properly and there is a piece that is broken inside thats needed to hold it together. -left the seats in my back seat unhooked. He needed to get into the trunk because he closed it and neither the button inside my vehicle worked nor did the keys he made. -the keyhole on my driver door spins around, it does not stay put in one place. -the trunk now does not open at all. Not sure if this is because the door panel will not open or if he also broke the button. -raised the initial quote price, even when certain things were beyond my control (not having the parts necessary or experience with rekeying a car is not the customer's fault and this needs to be taken into consideration when first providing a quote, not after you are half way complete with the project.) -did not leave my car the way he found it, he left it messier and more broken apart. to say I am frustrated is the very least. please be careful when looking into this locksmith service. photos are attached of damages to my car.

Could not program my key fob even though he knew the exact model. Drove 45 minutes to see him. Only reason he got two stars is because he contacted his friend who might be able to do my car. His friend came short as well. Had to go to the dealer. read more

Was locked out of the garage and reach out to multiple locksmiths around the area. Adam was the most efficient on communication and he's value for your money. We were going to use his services late night 11p on a Sunday and Adam was ready to fit our schedule that was best for us. Although, our Uber driver called and said he has our keys. We called Adams Ave Locksmith at the suggestion our our realtor. We needed to have our locks combo and keys changed upon a new home purchase. AMAZING! Adam is a very kind, honest & professional guy! I scheduled an appointment with him to duplicate my car key. I brought my own aftermarket key from eBay, and to no surprise, it wasn't working/programming with my car properly. My mother locked her keys in her car today and when searching for services I came across Adam on Yelp. I gave him a call and he was very nice and reassuring. I called this guy to see if he could come down to my location and have my broken key duplicated but he said I could try to but he wasn't sure he could. Fix a broken key then he said give me 20 mins I have to eat dinner like wth so I said ok...then 20 mins later I called him back and he said it'll take another 20 mins to get to my location which isn't so far from his then I asked him can you fix my key as in duplicate it and he was like i don't know...then I was like in other places I've been to in the past they could why not you...then he came up with this lame a$$ excuse like I'm busy I can't help you goodnight well here is your bad review and bad rating I'm so disappointed that I have to leave a star...stupid...I wouldn't recommend this guy read more

Best locksmith ever!! He usually only does services in San Jose but he came out to San Mateo because I lost my car keys and he made me a new key. Very fast and friendly service with a reasonable price. A few days later, I found my old key and I must have not heard him tell me that my old key wasn't going to work anymore and I was trying to start my car with my old key. I took it to the shop and they told me there was nothing wrong with my car and it might be the alarm system. I remembered I had just gotten a new key made and called Adam. He came to the location very fast and explained to me that my old key doesn't work in case someone stole it or found it. He was able to program my old key for $40 and now I have a spare! My name is Adam, owner of Adam locksmith services (Est. 2018). Adam Locksmith Services is family-owned and operated whether for Residential, Commercial, Automotive or Personal locksmith, providing a 24/7 mobile locksmith service to the South Bay Area. I have over 15 years of experience in the Auto Service Industry at a Smog and Testing Shop, working with my father at our local family-owned business. I have since found myself with a few different jobs in an attempt to expand my experience, which has brought me here today. I am relatively new in the locksmith field, however, I am a fast learner, licensed and insured and with my experience in the industry as an Auto Service Professional, I strive to do my best and deliver the best and unique service I can offer at all times. Before I buckled my 2.5 year old in his car seat, I placed the keys in his cup holder. At some point while buckling him, the doors auto-locked. I did not realize that happened until after I closed the door -- unfortunately, with the keys still in the cup holder. As you can imagine, I panicked. Luckily, the van was parked in a partially shaded spot. However, the sun was shining through the windshield. I imagined the interior slowly heating up. He quoted me $80-$120 not knowing what he was up against. He arrived in about 20-25 minutes, gave me his ETA when he was about 5 minutes away. Adam was very professional and polite when we spoke, he brought a handful of tools and got right to work. He initially tried putting some inflatable bellows in the frame and tried to get a chisel in there to push the locking mechanism but with no luck. He also couldn't pick the lock on the Kwikset handle. He immediately didn't think he could as he stated they were tough to pick. Eventually he had to drill the lock out, which sucked, but it got us in. I would highly recommend Adam and Buddy's Locksmith if you are ever locked out of your house. Polite, professional, quick and effective. Thanks Adam.

I am working from home, so by him coming to me meant I didn't need to drive anywhere. With my battery basically dead, it does take some time to start my car. He was well prepared to cut the new key I needed and program the fob to pair correctly with my old Prius. He was obviously experienced because he was telling me that when my car was made, Toyota had changed programming midway through the year as a result of manufacturing disruptions from the Fukushima disaster/tsunami. So it took about 15 minutes longer than expected and no additional charge. Awesome. It was madness that the dealership wanted $400 for a key fob, not including programming.

Adam helped me out on 2 separate occasions. The first time he met me at my storage unit; I lost The keys to my unit! He was rather quick and arrived before I did! He was very friendly and prepared. He explained the process and mentioned it would be somewhat difficult to drill through the lock BUT he did it! He didn't take long (maybe 15-20) minutes. The second time I needed some spare keys made (machines were down at local Safeway and Walmart) so I contacted Adam. His location wasn't that difficult to find and he was able to make a new pair of keys for me in about 10 minutes. Adam is a life saver! I called numerous other services to get a key replacement and his offer was by far the fairest and most reasonable. I lost my key and my spare, and Adam came out at near 10pm to carve out another. He is a skilled worker and I was very happy to have a working key within half an hour.
