It's always a good time. They teach a little 1 hour lesson from 8:30 to 9:30 and then open up the dance floor until 2 AM. You can learn some basic steps to get your started but don't expect to know Salsa after one mini lesson. :) As a follow, it was enough to just have a good time that night. The later you come, the more veteran and experienced dancers you'll meet. Many beginners come dance for the first hour or so and then leave. On Saturdays, the Bachata room is also open down the hall. A much smaller room but that's enough. The entrance fee of $20 gets you into both rooms. (Intro lesson is $5 extra). It's great being able to go back & forth between the rooms. There is a bar that you can buy drinks. You are allowed to bring your own water bottles but you have to leave it up at the front entrance because they don't allow you to bring your own bottles in due to the bar. Sometimes they even have performances from dance groups on Saturday nights. They also have practice sessions on weeknights that you can join and check out. With what little dance experience I've had over the last 2 months, Century definitely feels like "the place to be" if you want to dance the night away. Because of that though, Saturday Socials feels more like a show/a place to show off rather than a place to practice so just be prepared for that kind of atmosphere. Parking can be difficult since it's Cap Hill. Most people park at the parking garage down the street. **I'm not going to fault Century for this but this is something for women to take note of - not all men here are as respectful as you'd want them to be. Watch out for their hands and unwanted advances. Sometimes you really have to set your boundaries clearly because some people will def. take advantage of a friendly dancer.**

Although the instructor was a substitute, I felt the quality of the lesson was not diminished at all. Pace of the lesson is beginner friendly, and even though it took me the first half of the hour to adjust and remember the vibe of dancing, I was still able to pick up the fundamentals and feel confident in myself dancing a few 8 counts at the end without hesitation. I had a great time, even with the fact that the class was really small (about 6 people), as it normally feels a bit intimidating for me to dance in small groups, at least for now. The only issue for me is the commute as I don't have a car to commute from downtown Seattle, but whenever my friend with a car wants to do more dance lessons, this will certainly be the first place I will think of! Besides, this is one of my coworkers go-to dance studio in the past before he moved closer to the city, and he has mentioned that before covid, some lessons are so popular you have to pay in advance to secure a spot!

There is a man who lives on the first floor, right outside the doors, who is a senior with disabilities. I am on the third floor, and every time they wake me up. I've asked the dance studio to please deal with this problem, but they simply ignore me. Sometimes people stand outside laughing and talking as well. There is a quite simple solution: exit the front door after 10 pm. I have multiple videos of this happening.

A BIG thing I love is that they offer sensory friendly performances and have a beautiful danceABLE program. I really don't feel there is anywhere else like Allegro in WA state. Thank you Allegro for being my daughter's home away from home.

I have also won several accolades including Shamak Davar's best dancer award in 2009. So, you can trust me when you see my review. Tripti, who owns Mishika dance academy is the best dance chroeographer by far in Seattle. I needed a teacher who is great in her dance moves, expressions and energy levels. And i got all that at her class. She evn teaches students who have less dancing skills and within 4 classes, you will notice that you have become dance connoisseurs. Within a month i got to perform in 2 of her major dance shows that had over 300+ crowd. If you are looking to be on stage, then join her performance group. And if you just want to learn dancing, then that is the perfect place to become dancing champions. She is very patient and she will teach you the step until you do not get it right. The best part is she records all of her class videos so you get to see what you did wrong or where you need improvement. Dancing is an art where you need to have high energy level, be graceful and display expressions and in her academy you will lean all of that. She enjoys dance and makes sure you enjoy it too. Love it! I would highly recommend joining Mishika dance academy and east or west, Tripti is the best :)
