They moved to a lovely new location, so I am increasing the number of stars. This was a positive experience for our family.

Would have loved to know how the classes were. Unfortunately, I could not get a response after emailing and following up with phone calls.

Baila District is hands down the best dance studio in Seattle! The instructors actually remember me and call me by name. They are always eager to answer questions and give feedback, often staying after class on their own time to help. Their kindness goes far beyond the dance floor, too--when I tore my ACL, management compassionately let me extend my Class Pass expiration date by over a year so I wouldn't lose my investment while recovering. - Supportive Instruction Across Styles: Cathan, Alexa, David, and Rocky were incredibly supportive when I was brand new to Sensual Bachata, and Harrison even shared helpful tips for social dancing while I was traveling in NY! For Salsa, Emily was super welcoming and asked me to dance during the post-class practice session when she noticed I was new. Plus, Stephen and Jacinda (West Coast Swing) were wonderfully encouraging when I brought my Salsa background into West Coast Swing. = Unique Classes: Beyond Salsa, Bachata, and WCS, Benny and Ashley offer a rare, fantastic opportunity to learn Cumbia dance! - Great Value: Classes are super affordable with their Dance Day discounts saving me 30% to 50% off full price. The community here is actively growing, and while socials are currently only held about once a month per style (compared to weekly socials at some other local venues), I really want to see this space thrive and expand its social schedule as the community builds! If you want a studio with top-tier instruction and a truly compassionate community, Baila District is the place to go!

Love Suenos!!!…read more Atmosphere: I was a beginner and had no idea what to expect. Suenos is super welcoming and warm to new comers. Lessons experience: (Salsa) All the instructors (Mojan, Michael, & Kelly) were friendly and easy going. They were all excellent teachers - giving you pointers and allowing you to practice. They pointed out common mistakes so you can avoid and they gave you extra things you can add to your dance that was slightly above your level to push you. I've taken Level I and Level II - the structure is a warm up, then lesson led by the instructors and you dance switching partners every few minutes, and then at the end you get your phones out and film the instructors doing the steps of the day so you can practice the steps at home. Level I is basic and then Level II really steps it up - it seems many people retake Level II multiple times so they can practice more and there's different steps to learn each time since they mix it up. The lessons were reasonable - ~$80 for 4 lessons. If you do the membership, you can drop into many classes whenever you want. This is the most worth it if you plan on really dedicating yourself and coming here often. Dance Socials: They have socials for Salsa & Bachata on Wednesday nights. It's $5 if you're a student and $10 if you're not. I find that these socials are a great time to practice what you've learned. Everyone that comes out are super friendly and welcoming. I have not had a bad experience here. People of all levels come out and dance. It's OK if you are new - you just jump in and have a good time. If you're thinking of learning Bachata or Salsa, I highly recommend Suenos. I know there are many other studios out there but I think Suenos is the best! Oh one more thing, they teach Salsa On 2 (apparently other places teach On 1).

To set salsa dancers' expectations: it's pretty beginnery and on-1. As long as you are ok with…read morethat, the studio's a good vibe. I came here on Wednesday and it was dead after the first hour of the social -- I think there's a class that happens before it so the dancers here are basically from the class. I prob wouldn't have ubered here from downtown as an experienced dancer, but it's a good place for beginners to learn!

Breakdown. -1. Maintainance…read more -1. Supplies +1. Customer Service +1. Accessibility +1. Overall Background As a longtime, intermittent, member, I have seen a steady decline from the good ol' days of 24 Hour Fitness, back when they had secured lockers, towel service, reliable equipment, and friendly staff; to where we are now, with unreliable equipment, paper towels or a paid towel service, and staff friendliness but also dereliction at their post depending on the hours. On the matter of maintenance, let me state that several of the cable-assisted machines are prone to breaking, treadmills either stop working, or belts are constantly slipping off their gears, great a skidding sensation. In many cases where I've experienced failures, the issues are usually addressed, but sometimes they are ignored. I'm sure the person in charge of taking care of the equipment is doing their best with the resources they have. On the matter of supplies, there have been several days in a month's time where there is no paper towel service. The excuse is always the same "we're dealing with a shortage". On one occasion, they finally provided towels, but it was designed for reuse as a sanitary towel, stored on top of the paper towel dispensers. Finally, I want to state that overall, the gym still has value albeit it no longer has the prestige it once had. So, to those who work there, thank you. To those who continue to fail at providing members with a means to clean and sterilize equipment, I'm confused. Finally, to the person or persons responsible for maintaining equipment, thank you for your efforts, I'm only sorry that $#!t keeps breaking down. As always, your individual experiences will vary.
