This is an excerpt from an email that was sent over two weeks ago, and has yet to be given a…read moreresponse by Patti or any of the office staff with access to the email login: I had a massage yesterday and would like to give some feedback. It was my first prenatal massage (38 weeks today), and I was trying to do something for myself to help me relax and prepare for birth physically and mentally. Instead what I got was a nightmare. I am now bruised, and feeling like the massage therapist may have done damage to the baby. The massage therapist was 15 minutes late to our appointment (I should have just left then, but gave her grace and stayed). The cleaning woman let me into the office. When Ariadne walked in, she was in her pajamas, did not introduce herself, and proceeded to set up the room slowly (we did not get started until 10:30, my appointment was supposed to have started at 10a). She never actually did introduce herself, so I'm not entirely positive that the person who was massaging me was Ariadne. Once I got into the room and laid down on the table, she came in and asked how the music was, to which I replied that it was perfect (soothing and relaxing). She said she was going to change it to something better, and ended up picking loud, fast paced classical music- because the music wasn't for me- it was "for the baby." She then proceeded to massage my back, which was fine. When I flipped to face up, she was extremely rough, especially on my abdomen down where the baby's head was, which is now bruised. She pushed so hard trying to "loosen my abs" that I was wincing in pain, and had to pull away from her at multiple points. I do not think this is part of a standard prenatal massage, and feared for the damage she may have done to the baby by pressing so hard as to bruise my skin right above the baby's head (my baby has been rotating between LOA, LOT, ROA, and LOP, so she easily could have been hitting a fontanelle or an eye, especially because there is so little fluid/cushioning next to the head near the pubic bone as its trying to engage). I tried to look her credentials up on the website to see if she was a certified prenatal massage therapist, but her bio is nowhere to be found. Throughout the massage she talked about how this baby was going to teach me a lesson, especially if its being so stubborn in the womb (rotating all over the place at 38 weeks)- to which I replied, I don't think this baby is doing anything but trying to find the best way out. But she continued to talk about how babies that give their parents easy pregnancies are horrible kids, difficult to deal with, etc. After 7 miscarriages and a miracle to get to being this far pregnant I really felt insulted by her view of children, and her trying to impose these harmful views on an expecting mother who is mere weeks away from giving birth to her miracle/rainbow baby. While she had me facing up she completely disregarded proper draping techniques which made me super uncomfortable, and decided to "stretch" my legs/hips, to the point that my knees were nearly touching my ears, which was extremely uncomfortable not only physically, but because of how exposed I was. Overall, I am so incredibly disappointed in this experience, and can't believe that I was charged $140 for an hour and a half of torture, pain, and humiliation. I will never come back to the office for another massage. I woke up in the middle of the night last night with severe anxiety because of this massage, and am praying that this child comes out in the next few weeks unharmed. I hope this case was isolated and she was just having a bad day, but the impact was so intense that I am now hesitant to schedule body work with any other practitioner for fear that this will happen to me again.

Just walking in the door, I was warmly greeted and immediately accommodated (I could not sit or stand, I had to lie down). Her office and her workspace are peaceful and comfortable, unlike most Dr.'s offices. She asked about my recent incident causing the pain but also about any previous issues both mental and physical. She then allowed me to tell her "my side of the story" as opposed to just asking questions. Her bedside manner is that of your favorite Aunt; caring, informative, listening, and friendly. The treatment room is spacious, inviting and comfortable. No hospital gowns here, I was in my own clothing (boxers) and using soft cotton blankets / sheets. Soft music barely was heard in the background. She first gave me light massage and then talked me through the process of acupuncture as she was doing it. She knew I had been once before, elsewhere but she still talked me through it to ensure I was comfortable and understanding her methods. She then added light electric stimulation, again talking me through it. Afterwards, she gave me more therapeutic massage coupled with light acupressure from her hands. The massage oils she used didn't leave me feeling oily, the room was warm and comfortable. Some of the oils were slightly aromatic and added to the soothing experience. There was no rush to talk, dress, undress, or anything; she took the time allow me to go at my own pace. While she has all sorts of degrees and certifications on the wall, she comes off as a healer, a caregiver, and a loving person. I'll definitely be back for more acupuncture and when healed, I'll go back for massages. Degrees after her name.... Dr. Kathleen Caputo L.Ac., C.A., Dipl. Ac., Dipl. ABT I'm writing all this because she's not one to self promote, she wasn't even really familiar with Yelp.

I was a little anxious to go as I am not used to taking proper care of my muscles and didn't want to hear that something was actually wrong. I saw Danielle and she was awesome. She made me feel super comfortable and was extremely thorough during my evaluation. She explained everything in depth and really took her time with me. By the time I left, I was at ease and eager to start my treatment plan. I know I am in good hands with her. The facility is beautiful with state of the art equipment. Everyone there is extremely friendly as well. I will absolutely refer them to anyone I know.

Only complaint is that they aren't in-network for my insurance!

I had a total knee replacement in October of 2025. I have heard that it takes 1 full year to feel normal again. It is now the end of February 2026 and in another week, it will be 5 months. They have worked with me, listened to me, and I feel I am at 90% better with still time to feel normal again. You do need to listen and trust them to help you, and I did and will still do. They started out strong but I am switching to their West Caldwell facility for a few reasons…read more #1 -- I've had two issues with front desk people giving me attitude. If someone hates working so much, just quit and give the job to someone else who would embrace being a front desk person. Here's a little lesson for them: Before I was self-employed, many years ago, I worked with the public at a famous musical instrument store. Customers loved me so much they were purposely late on their instrument rental payments so I would give them a reminder call. They really liked talking to me because I was friendly and embraced my career. This is the kind of customer service I'd love to see at other places. Not people counting the hours to their weekends and vacations. That's not a happy life, right? #2 -- One of the aides (helpers) said something off the wall to me. I'm not going to repeat it here, but it was cruel, inappropriate, and unprofessional. He had me in tears. I do not want to see his face ever again. I reported him because if he did this to me, he will do it again to other people. If I was in charge, he would be fired. The good news is, their acupuncturists are fantastic and have beautiful, spiritual personalities. Both Greg and Arick are the heart of the Little Falls facility. They are positive and encouraging -- and that is the key to healing. I am putting my trust in for a better experience at the West Caldwell facility.
