He tried to sell me on his expensive sleep center study (which he said I definitely needed because I definitely had sleep apnea despite having zero symptoms). They did an EKG ("it's preventative!") despite my saying I didn't need one. Then for the past few months I've been dealing with their office trying to get prior authorization to see a specialist for a postpartum issue. They don't seem to have any idea how to get it for me so I'm going to have to go see another doctor. My insurance doesn't understand how they can be so "discombobulated." Just go somewhere else and save yourself the headache.

My fiancé had to call the office several times and was put on hold for 25 minutes each time he called. Someone finally told him that the system has been down since January. Why would you still have people come in for a sleep study if the system has been down for two months prior to us going. All they do is just scam you for your insurance money and that's it.

I opted for an epidural which I received after it was pre-approved by my insurance. The procedure was quick, but they are never on time calling your name so bring a book and be prepared to sit for a while. As someone who is habitually early to everything it can be the bane of my existence showing up 20 minutes early and waiting for an hour or more past my appointment time. I also had some trigger point injections. That said, everyone here is very friendly and you will meet a lot of students / residents during their studies. This being my first epidural, they warned me that I may have trouble sleeping and they were right - I was awake for 2.5 days! I even took melatonin and other stronger sleep-aides to no avail. Not everyone will have this side effect, so if this is the path you're headed down try it for yourself. I will be going back for another in a few months. PS - The physician assistant working here is great!

For my first injury, I met with Tony Ng and for my second injury, I met with both Tony Ng and Martin Del Prado due to all of our availabilities. For each injury, I had several appointments which involved various exercises and cross-friction massages as well as take home exercises through MedBridge GO. And for each injury, I recovered well. I am very happy with Spear Physical Therapy and will keep them in mind for any future injuries (knock on wood that they are few and far between). And they have so many locations across NYC too!

I told them I was already en route, and the call abruptly dropped. No follow-up call. No explanation. I arrived, checked in, and was left sitting in the waiting room for 30-45 minutes without a single update. Only after wasting that time was I informed that the doctor would not be seeing me at all. I took early leave from work and commuted for absolutely nothing. What's most unacceptable is that no one acknowledged the situation or offered even a basic apology. This level of incompetence and indifference is staggering for a medical office. If you value your time or expect minimal professionalism, avoid this place entirely.
