My first visit to Tamara was just 10 days ago, and I still feel a happy warm glow from my wonderful experience with her. First of all, Tamara herself is delightful, warm, funny, and grounded. Tamara is the best. She is super knowledgeable, incredibly smart, compassionate and capable. I went to see her for treatment of a fairly obscure ailment, something that most people have never heard of, and she knew all about it. Since my treatments, I am suffering a lot less and some of my symptoms have subsided. I chart my symptoms on a calendar and could see the decline. A couple of other things she has treated me for that I saw instant results: I came in once with a headache that was on its way to becoming a migraine and she treated me and it just disappeared and never came back. Another time I came in completely distraught over a friend's death that I had found out about on the way over to my session, and she treated me for my emotional trauma and helped me feel more grounded. I checked out her website (which is easy to navigate) and request my first appointment. The paperwork was extensive but absolutely necessary to help develop the course of treatment you'll need. I've been receiving acupuncture for almost 30 years and I've had numerous practitioners. I have to say that Tamara has provided me the best experience. First, her office is amazing! She has managed to treat all of the senses, except taste. She has soothing music (you can choose what you listen to), aromatherapy (you can choose not to do this if you're sensitive), a very comfortable and cozy atmosphere, the perfect balance between a doctor's office and a spa, singing bowls, and I'm sure much more. I never realized how important atmosphere was until having treatment at her clinic. One of my teens saw Tamara first. We had just moved across the country and in addition to suffering from chronic gut issues, he was also suffering from depression. He is very cautious and was a little hesitant about treatments. Tamara took the time to listen to him, ask questions, and address his concerns before starting the treatment. While he was resting with his needles, she met with me in the lobby area (I hate to call it that, it's more of your grandmother's living room) where I was able to detail his lifelong health struggles. After his first treatment, his depression was gone! It's been several weeks and it hasn't returned. He wasn't feeling relief from his gut issues, so on his second visit she altered his treatment (he's now taking herbs in addition to acupuncture) and he has been feeling great ever since! After having such a great experience with my son, I started seeing Tamara. I am one of those people who responds very well to acupuncture, but she has managed to impress me even more. Since she knows I'm very comfortable with the needles, she doesn't hold back with me. After I've rested with the needles, I feel completely restored. She doesn't end her sessions there though, she always does a little meditation after. Seriously, I would rather do this than have a spa day! I recently finished 3 weeks of radiation for breast cancer. I met Tamara after my diagnosis, but before my surgery, and I asked her if there would be issues she could help me with post surgery. She said definitely, and I felt more confident in my situation knowing that. After the radiation I started to feel the effects of it, and in one area I was so sore I couldn't touch it. The doctor said it was probably inflammation. I made an appointment with Tamara, I knew it was time. Tamara did an acupuncture treatment on me that she said would take heat away from my body. When I finished, and got to my car, I felt the area. There was no pain, it was like magic! All day I kept rubbing the area to see when the pain would return, but it never did. I could also SEE the results in that my skin (which looks like a bad sunburn after radiation), began to heal much more quickly than it had been before the acupuncture. I went back for another treatment a week later, just to keep the healing momentum going, and am still very pleased and looking forward to more sessions and more healing. Tamara has been such a blessing in my life. I have been dealing with ankle issues on one of of my ankles for years now. I had surgery on it two years ago and recently re-sprained it. While I was staying off of that I ankle I realized I had developed Achilles tendinitis in the other ankle. I'm an avid cyclist and work with animals for a living. I sought relief for a very painful Achilles Tendonosis injury. Tamara took her time to explain what she was doing and why. She also treated my chronic elbow pain, after some discussion about other issues I may be experiencing. I am currently in an isolation walking boot to help reduce the inflammation. I am always in at least a level 6 of pain related to the Achilles injury. Tamara treated my Achilles area with laser, burning herbs, and focused sound waves. When we were finished I was actually pain free and remained pain free for the rest of the day and had my first good night of sleep in months!
