With the community clinic model, there are four beds in one room meaning you can be treated at the same time along with up to three other people. There's soothing new age music playing in the background, but you can still hear talking within the room and sometimes from adjacent rooms. I like bringing earplugs to tune out any chatter. Dr. Judy Yu can seem a little no nonsense, but she puts your health first and genuinely wants you to get better. Dr. Lin worked wonders for my TMJ! For about 7 years now I've had clicking and limited mobility in my jaw. After my second session with Dr. Lin, my jaw was 80% better! I could open it much wider without it catching, and the clicking was almost totally gone! I cannot tell you how excited I was :-) Dr. Lin used acupuncture needles and jaw exercises in his office to achieve this; neither was painful. I know I'll have to continue "maintenance" visits if I want to keep these results (no such thing as a one-time miracle cure), but all things considered it is COMPLETELY worth it. Dr. Lin is very affordable (comparatively), does excellent work, and is thoughtful and conscientious. I'm so glad I decided to go to him for treatment! I am incredibly thankful this practice exists. Less than a third of the cost of most acupuncture clinics, and really the group treatment room is no big deal (I was nervous at first). When I suggested acupuncture to my GP for headaches she said, yes, try it, and recommended I go to the nearby community acupuncture place, Acupuncture For All, because the prices were reasonable. This was my first acupuncture experience and it was NOT a good one. I wasn't prepared for the pain and discomfort involved. The Acupuncturist, Dr. Judy, had me fill out some paperwork and asked a few questions, then it was right into the treatment. There was only one other person there, and they finished up before I was done. I wasn't told what to expect, or what I should do if I felt pain, or really how long treatment would last, or what to expect after treatment. I wasn't given very much information at all, which was unnerving for a first time. Communication was really lacking! The first few needles to go into my arms, legs, head and neck area were fine, but the needles in my belly were terribly painful. So painful in fact, I had to shout out to the acupuncturist to remove one on the left side of my stomach, which she did. I suffered through the other painful needles in my stomach area, thinking this is what it's suppose to be like, and I'm just a wimp. Needless to say, I was very relieved when they were all removed about 20 mins later. I was told how to pay and left. Later that day I noticed a quarter sized welt on my stomach where one of the needles had been. No wonder is hurt so much! I was even afraid to breathe normally during treatment because with every breath came a sharp pain as the needle moved around. Again, I had no way of knowing this wasn't normal. The welt turned into a large bruise that lasted about a month. I did not return to Acupuncture For All, but chose another practitioner who provided much better service. He told me what to expect, what proper treatment SHOULD feel like, checked in with me often, and told me what to expect after treatment. I would not to use this clinic unless you're VERY familiar with acupuncture and know what to expect and not afraid to tell the doctor what you're feeling and if you're in pain during treatment. read more

Let me begin by saying Dr. Yu gave me relief from my sciatic nerve and lower back pain when no one else could. She has more than 30 years experience and her priced can not be beat! For weeks, I had sharp pain in my glute which traveled down into my thigh as a painful ache which traveled down my calf as an intense burn which traveled to my foot as a feeling of numbness. I was taking 800mg of Motrin and overlapping it with 1250mg of Tylenol to try and take the edge of the pain and making walking, sitting, and just standing bearable. My primary care doctor referred me to a specialist office with physical therapists, chiropractors, and medical massage people on staff. After an xray and 3 expensive sessions with them, my pain was only getting worse. It was then that I broke down and decided to try acupuncture for the first time. Dr.Yu has great prices from $35-55 per session or a package price of 4 sessions for $120. I started with just one session and I was amazed that almost all of my pain was elininated! My pain went from excruciating to only a dull pain if I sat for too long or was walking for too long but no Tylenol or Motrin was needed. Instead, I took some Chinese herbs Dr. Yu sold me. I went back for a second session and did acupuncture and cupping for the first time and I can not tell you how amazing I feel! I feel so stupid for wasting money at that other place and for suffering for weeks when I could have spent less than $100 here to get all of the healing my body needed. Needless to say, I am going to make this a regular thing and continue to go for maintenance. wow. if you've ever been on the fence about trying acupuncture, or even if you're an acupuncture pro, this is the place to go. not only are their prices more than fair, Dr. Michaelson is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. I've had numerous deep tissue massages to help my shoulder/neck pain, and it wasn't until I tried acupuncture with her that the pain and tension was finally resolved.
