The VA entrusts David for quality service, treatment and care for the Veterans. David Grimes listens to your medical problems and tailors his treatment accordingly. I use to rely on a cane a walker prior to accupunture treatment. Now i can nearly walk without them. I use a walking stick like a hicker's walking stick for stability but i can walk. The treatment I received from David Grimes works. I will not kid you though. The treatment helps to ease the muscles. At the beginning of treatment it is rouhh but i recommend a hot shower perhaps medical marijuana or a massage prior to help as the needles can smart a little going in but you get use to it. Its very important to know as you continue the treatment it gets better and the needles are less noticeable. Don't give up but continue until you finish the therapy. 10 minutes of prep and you just relax and let the heat lamps and electric massage and needles do the work. After 12 sessions you will be feeling a lot better than you started. So do not get discouraged. Davvid Grimes is a professional and not a witch doctor with rattles a beads. He will treat you right.

Started going to Acuity for acupuncture and it's become part of my routine rather than something I…read moredo occasionally. What stood out early is that Jacques takes the time to actually find out what's going on with your body before starting -- it's a real conversation, not a quick intake form. He's clearly passionate about this, and he's after the root of the problem instead of just chasing the symptom. The follow-up is just as good. He checks in, and he's easy to reach. Scheduling is the other reason I stuck with it. I travel a lot, and instead of me losing sessions I'd paid for, he worked around my dates and made sure I got the value out of the plan. That flexibility is rare and it's why I signed up for the monthly membership. Easy Collins Ave location. Highly recommend.

I've been getting acupuncture for over a decade. Boston, a few other cities, now Miami, and I've…read morebeen to a lot of practitioners. Some good, some great. But there's a pattern I've noticed even with the skilled ones: They land on a diagnosis quickly, run the protocol, and that's the session. You leave feeling okay and book again out of discipline more than conviction. Jacques at Acuity Acupuncture is different; he doesn't rush to a conclusion. He actually looks, asks follow-up questions, remembers things from previous sessions, and keeps adjusting based on what he's learning about his patients. He's precise in a hands-on way too: he takes his time measuring and placing every needle, using your proportions as the barometer for where the points should go. It sounds like it should be standard and somehow isn't always. You can feel the difference. I originally came in for sleep, which he sorted out. But what I didn't expect was everything else that's shifted since. My cycle is calmer, I feel more connected to myself in a way that's hard to describe but unmistakable once it's there. He formulated a custom herbal blend for me to support both my cycle and the allergies that tend to flare alongside it, which isn't a simple case to treat, and he approached it like the puzzle it was rather than handing over a generic formula. What keeps me coming back is how much he thinks about your care. He explains what he's doing and why. Every session builds on the last one. You get the sense he's actually working on you between appointments, not just showing up to tap needles in. Two other things worth mentioning. He designs his space the same way he treats his patients. There's a lot of care and detail in the treatment area, and it's really nice to walk into. And his membership is, frankly, the smartest thing I've seen in this field. A flat rate for multiple sessions a month is how this medicine is supposed to work, consistently, over time, and it finally makes that kind of commitment accessible. Especially for women working with their cycles, where rhythm matters. It tells you everything about how he thinks about care. Funny side note: an NP in Boston first sent me to acupuncture years ago, so it was Western medicine that made me a believer in the first place. Ten plus years and a lot of tables later, I'm glad I've crossed paths with Jacques.

So I was trekking around the county searching for a Traditional Chinese medicine store or another acupuncturist that might have the medicine I was looking for, which is how I found this place. After realizing that they did not have the medicine I was looking for, I was about to leave. But the Acupuncturist asked to see my tongue( a diagnostic technique) which I obliged. He asked me some other questions and he replied with generic yang deficiency answers. Then he offered me something else, an over priced yin based medicine, coupled with some over priced powdered mixed herbs he put together. I said what the hell, he seems to know what he is talking about more or less, so I tried them. After I left I tried the bottled yin based medicine he sold me. Within 10 minutes of taking the pills, I felt sick , dizzy and weak, the symptoms lasted for two days. The more expensive herb concoction that I paid $20.00 for, I threw in the garbage. There was no way in hell I was going to try it,after the bottle of pills he sold me made me that sick. But I am not an idiot, I know a little about Chinese traditional medical theory and practice. At the least I should have phoned my acupuncturist and asked her about this medicine he gave me. But I did not, and I paid the price for it, being sick, dizzy and weak for two days, with needle like sensations all over my body. If I need serious Yang medicine, it does not make sense for him to suggest a yin based medicine, that is idiotic. But again I should have known better, plus he was not Chinese, which I am sure contributed to him not being expert on his craft. Which is one of the main reasons why exclusively see acupuncturists of Chinese descent.

He's performed acupuncture, tui na massage, cupping and prescribed Oriental medicine. I most recently went to Dr. Frantz due to chronic headaches that were radiating up both sides of my neck and into the base of my skull. The pain would radiate down the left side of my arm and mimicked the symptoms of a heart attack. I had gone to my  primary care physician who sent me to the hospital.  It was not my heart. Thank goodness! But the pain was associated with a condition caused by that car accident. The pain was so bad I could not get any relief. I could not sleep. I was prescribed narcotics along with hydrocodone for pain. Uh, no! I'm not trying to be another statistic in the South Florida opioid crisis! So he did O2 therapy on that area. For 2 days it hurt in the area of treatment but after that, I slept for the first time in months. And the pain went away. Now the effects last temporary and I have to go back for periodic treatments. So, I go back about every 6 -8 weeks but I prefer that as opposed to prescription pain medication which are bad for your liver, are highly addictive, and lose their effectiveness over time as well. Dr. Frantz has knowledge of Western medicine as well and I like the mix of both disciplines. Dr. Frantz is focused on treating the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. He is an enthusiastic, kind, and caring practitioner who seems to be genuinely invested in the health of his patients. I'll be going back for years to come. Thank you Dr. Frantz!
