Hello All. I decided to write this review for all those people who suffer from lower back pain, herniated disk issues and sciatica issues. A little background on me. I was diagnosed with a Herniated Disk L1 sitting on the S1 nerve. I was in such agonizing pain, that I couldn't walk five feet without having to sit down. I had medical insurance at the time and made an appointment with a Back Specialist, who gave me 3 Epidural shots on 3 different visits. I was also prescribed pain killers too. While the shots helped temporarily soothe the pain, the pain came back stronger and stronger. My insurance covered 10 Chiropractor visits.The doctor began to manipulate my spine and after the 10 visits, I was not any better off. I was up against having back surgery or giving acupuncture a try. I heard a lot of bad things about back surgery. A co-worker of mine told me his Mom had a very great experience with acupuncture with Dr. Jason Tsai. So I decided to meet with Dr. Jason Tsai for a free consultation.I had explained the symptoms I was suffering from and even brought in my DVD from my MRI. I am a very skeptical person, just like everyone else with lots of QUESTIONS. Even though my insurance company didn't cover any of the visits, I decided to see Dr. Jason Tsai, twice a week. After the first few visits, I didn't feel to much of a relief and started having doubts. I decided to stay with the program... It wasn't until the 6th visit, did I notice an improvement where the pain started going away little by little. I was now able to walk 15 mins with moderate pain. By the 12th visit I was able to walk a half a mile with even lesser pain. By now your probably asking how many total visits did it take to cure and fix my issue?? Keep in mind I'm a smoker too, and yes it did take a little longer than normal to feel healed but after the 28th visit I was fully CURED :) I was now able to get back to the gym, roller blade and do all the things I couldn't do before. I hurt my back years ago while I was putting the hurricane shuttles in my house. I took some motrin and hoped that it will go away. Instead, the pain got worse and I decided to see my doctor, and she prescribed me some pills (Percocet) and ordered an MRI, which later showed that I have a bulging disc in L4 and L5. My doctor recommended a consultation with a surgeon and he tried to convince me to have surgery. I felt that surgery should be the last result, so I didn't go for it, instead I started looking for alternative ways to fix my back. I tried many different types of treatments including chiropractic adjustments, injections, etc. Nothing worked. I was referred by a friend to come in and meet Dr. Tsai for a lower back issue that was bothering me for quite some time. It was easy to schedule his Free Consultation appointment. I met with Dr. Tsai, who by the way is the most sincere and professional Doctor I have ever met. He took his time and explained to me that I was suffering from a pinched nerve, that was most likely caused from sitting at work for long periods of time that caused the issue. I was amazed, when he told me that he could fix my issue. I was advised to start with the Cupping treatment first and use some CBD Oil Pain Cream which he sells at a reasonable price : ) He stated to me that the purpose of the CBD Oil Pain cream would enhance the treatments. On my second visit, we decided to go with the acupuncture treatment. I was already seeing and feeling results. The pain was becoming lesser and lesser. I was told by my primary doctor that I needed surgery for my back pain because the MRI showed a bulging disc. I had a consultation with a surgeon and he told me that even after the surgery, he doesn't guarantee that I would be able to go back to my daily activities. I decided not to go for the surgery and try other treatment. One of my friends recommended acupuncture and I was hesitant because it's totally different but since I was in so much pain, I didn't have anything to loose. I searched for acupuncture online and Dr Tsai showed up, thanks to the internet. After a consultation, he promised that he can fix my back in 10 treatments or less. He was right on target. After just 6 treatments, I was almost back to normal. By treatment #8, I was able to resume my daily activity including exercising and even running. I have been coming to doctor Thai for about 16 years now . Originally for a back problem that no one could help me with. As far as my back I am virtually pain free. I only see him now for maintenance for back. Anytime I have a health issue he is the first one I go to see. So far he has helped me with hormonal issues, joint pain, indigestion, as a matter of fact as I write this, I am being treated for pain in my ankle. I had been in pain for 3 months due to tendonitis in my hands and arms with no relief from physical therapy or massage therapy. The doctor of acupuncture located my origin of pain and I am now feeling much better. I have been a patient to Dr Tsai for about 10 years. When I have an ailment or inflammation that drags in time, I have found that using his acupuncture method, within 2-5 sessions, I have almost always either gotten rid of the issue or drastically reduced it. Sometimes it takes a few more sessions to completely heal. Only once did an issue persisted despite the treatment (at a much lower level of pain) and went away a few weeks later. I have been living with bulging disk issues since I was a teen ager. It's been many years. I've tried just about everything short of surgery.
