Very upscale wine tasting room. Tasting is available and you can also enjoy walk through the art room! Amazing cellar room and their 2013 Cab was the BEST! If you like red wine..this is the place. As for my husband he was looking for "sweet" white wine but unfortunately they don't have any.

STAN!!!' is the man. He is so thoughtful, organic, and loves his job. The million dollar entrance is gorgeous and very inviting with an artistic flair. The copper plates, beautiful furniture and stemware. We did the Cabernet Tasting - amazing experience. We'll be back

I love Acumen! They were so nice and knowledgeable about the wines they were offering. I opted for the mountainside tasting as I prefer dry whites over reds. The still Rose was delicious - I even got a bottle to take home. I was visiting from Arizona and was in CA for a business trip. I missed my pup so much - it was a bonus to be able to love on Sammi! She too is very knowledgeable about her wines

Acumen is one of my favorite downtown Napa wine tasting salons. The tasting room is comfortable open and light filled, as there are large wall windows in the store front that lets in the beautiful Napa sunshine. The Napa Neighbors 2:1 tasting is offered during weekdays, so that's a bonus! Available is a private room for groups that probably accommodates a dozen or so folks. We truly enjoyed the Wines at tasting. I always seem to root for the reds! And so it was red winner again ;-)

It was our first time visiting Napa and I'm glad we started with Acumen. We learned so much about the wine we were drinking and the wine was amazing.

Very unique from other tastings rooms downtown, with a free art room to tour while tasting there. We got to do the Napa neighbor deal on January 13th, we did the mountain side flight of three wines, a Sauv blanc, Red blend and Cab blend. All where very good but the red blend was my favorite! The art was different, but after staring a little and thinking about the fact that someone put all their work and sweat into it, then I was able to appreciate the art they had. I suggest parking in one of the areas parking garages because street parking is super limited!

This is my absolute favorite wine tasting room in town - a charming rustic-meets-modern, old-meet-new world in itself. Indeed, the fitting name Acumen is backed by the good wits and judgement of a dedicated team of internationally acclaimed winemakers that (alas!) landed winemaking at its finest on the Atlas at... Atlas Peak. The Peak wine is just that - the very Peak and essence of life in liquid form. Happy melded into varying shades of oak, dark cherries, blueberries, peaches, and wild blossoms with hint of midsummer nights dream. "Liquid metal," if you will. And the art!! The breathtaking mastery of skill by Vincent Xeus. How his paintings convey motion and depth in a unique and spectacular movement of abstract natural wonder mystified by fog but demystified by skill is no short of genius - an abstract world constructed within the in between world of old and new - a tri-world experience at the convenient footsteps of the very epicenter of downtown Napa. I dare you to test your wine acumen at Acumen wine - to open your senses to the wonders and joys of the hidden treasure trove in Napa in what's simply acumeant to be.

    All 2013's.

Another great wine tasting room in downtown Napa. We have been here a couple times now. This is strictly a flight tasting place. They have a couple nice couch settings and a small bar area to sit. I like to sit. My partner likes to sit. We both have back issues and knee issues and enjoying a nice wine while in pain doesn't work. The wines are great and I see them in different high end restaurants. The grapes are sourced from there own vineyards in Atlas Peak. My partner and I each had the same tasting recently. All 2013's. A Merlot, Tempranillo, Malbec and Cabernet Francisco. Not a Cab Sauv in the group. They make a Cabernet Sauvignon. It just wasn't in this flight. They were all great. Wines to buy are from $60-$90. They may have a few outside that range. They also have an art gallery your can stroll through while tasting. It's nice they are open until 7 pm also. For downtown Napa tasting it is worth a look.

Everyone having wine chose the Signature Flight, which included one white and three reds. I appreciated the option to substitute a Sauvignon Blanc for the Chardonnay, a nice personal touch. Each wine was distinctive, balanced, and delicious in its own way. You could really tell the care and craftsmanship behind every pour. What really stood out was the hospitality. Our host was not only incredibly thoughtful but impressively knowledgeable. She explained where each wine's grapes were grown, described the flavor profiles we could expect, and added insights into how the terroir influenced the wine -- all without it ever feeling too technical or over our heads. Even better, our designated driver was offered iced tea, lemonade, or an Arnold Palmer, which I really appreciated. It's always a plus when tasting rooms consider the full group's experience, not just the drinkers. The vibe was so warm and relaxing, we ended up staying for over two hours. It felt less like a stop and more like a true experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in downtown Napa.

But dog friendly. Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. Owner Comment - Congrats on your family's success since 1939 and congrats to this winery's success since 1992.

After we finished eating, I frantically researched (read: checked Yelp) for a winery to visit. Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. We get there and we realize it's owned by Tamera Mowry (who is now Mowry-Housley!) There's a picture of her and her husband (a former baseball player) in the window. We're sort-of starstruck. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. I wish our wine tasting could've been free if we bought two bottles or something--I would've done that! Cute merch and store with goodies inside. Bathroom is clean. Would be back!
