Although they do have a return policy, it is horrible. $800 is too much to pay for an item that may not work for an individual. Their return policy is such that if you open the packaging, you cannot return the item. Most elderly people need to be able to try something to know if it will meet their needs. But I had hope because the majority of the bad ones were prior to 2020, some were really old, and during 2020 all medical suppliers were slammed. Happily, I had a really good experience. I thought I had found the most amazing site ever! Lot's of cool stuff, decent prices, free shipping, and would arrive quickly. I realized that i had ordered the wrong thing (my fault, I think I was too excited about these cool products and was moving too fast) so I called to cancel my order. I was told that there was no possible way of cancelling, that the order was already printed, packed, and put on the pallet for delivery. Although I am still not sure how this is possible, I had JUST ordered it. But okay. me: "So when it gets here... I'll just return it?" lady at Active Forever: "Well, here's what you have to do.. the day you receive it.. Not the next day, not the day after that, ONLY the DAY you receive it.. You give us a call. And we will most likely return it. There will be a return fee, and you will pay shipping, and we may not even be able to return it then, but we'll see." What? On a good note, prices were very competitive and I received the technical support from Drive before ordering hospital beds for my parents (do your homework ;-) However, I talked to ActiveForever sales and they told me the two Drive hospital beds (one with half rails; one with full rails) were in stock and would ship within 24 hours, however they were unsure when the order would process because it was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, "perhaps not until Monday". I said that was fine and paid extra $29.98 for expedited shipping 2-4 days. The first bed surprisingly showed up on Monday (the day I thought the order was processing) to my parents tiny senior living apartment (no notification it shipped, tracking #, etc.) so we had to quickly move out furniture and make room for the new beds we thought were arriving in a few days. The second bed never showed. I've made several attempts to customer services, both over the phone, and on-line chat, and their attitude was "sorry, the second bed is on back order and will ship December 18th". I asked if they could at least ship the bed without rails for now (I think the rails were on b/o, but they never really confirmed so not 100% sure) and again, their attitude was "sorry, they are on back order". The worse customer service attitude I have ever dealt with. It would be so much better for everyone if ActiveForever would send e-mail notifications letting customers know their items are shipping, are on back-order, etc. A simple fix and easy communication (I hope they are reading this). The website descriptions and advertising is purposely misleading. I had bought the wrong item because the picture they showed was not what I was sent. I had called to try to return the item, but the staff said I would need to pay the shipping, and the restocking fee was a huge percentage of the item itself. Thus I was forced to order from them again to complete the item that I had wanted to begin with. But the items were shipped separately, and the second part did not arrive until 2 months later. This company is terrible! My mom purchased a portable oxygen machine from them. It was brand new and not a cheap piece of medical equipment. However, as she suffers from pulmonary hypertension she is tied to an oxygen machine 24/7. This has naturally made her depressed and often feeling trapped. This machine was the answer to our prayers. It gave her around 4 hours of being able to be out and about without concerns of running out of air. Well, the machine has broken down three times and they've yet to replace it. They "repaired" it but it broke two times after. At this point they should replace it. Horrible Experience. I ordered an item and requested next day delivered. Called the company to make sure they got my order and I was getting it the next day. (What I ordered I needed in a rush for a bed ridden family member). Well, when I called the company, I was told that the charge I paid for overnight was not correct. On top of the amount their website quotes for overnight, the manufacturer also charges an additional $129. So after disputing this, we came to an agreement to deliver it in 3 days. On the second day I called to make sure that item was shipped and guess what, NOT SHIPPED. So I would not be receiving it as promised. I was told I would have to wait until the following week and they were not sure when the manufacturer would ship it out. So bottom line it would take the normal 7 to 10 days to be delivered if I was lucky. Of course this was not acceptable so I decided to cancel my order because I really needed this item ASAP. ( I ordered it from WAYFAIR excellent service.) In addition, I asked Active Forever to sent back the payment to the third party company called Affirm, which I used to pay for this Item. I was told in 2 days it should all be cleared and I would get a notice telling me my account had been cleared. Well I called Affirm 2 days later and nothing was sent to them that I had canceled my order. Now is a week and 2 days later and I called Affirm again and nothing has been sent. So I called Active Forever and I was told that they submitted the paperwork and their waiting on Affirm to respond. As you and I know that means they probably sent it today. It is really endless. The only good experience about this whole situation was speaking with Greg. He really tried with all his superiors to help me get the item on time, but unfortunately his company and the manufacturer are very irresponsible. Greg should be working with a more reliable and respectable company. Not a company who cannot deliver what they promise. I purchased a Dust Mite Cover from this online company and was told it had a lifetime warranty that came with it. I've had the item since May 2012 however didnt' start using it until October 2012 and in December 2012 it started falling apart. I contacted Activeforever.com on 12/20/12 for the first time and have yet to get anyone to help me. I have asked for a refund because the company that manufactured the Dust Mite Cover is no longer one of their customers and they refused. I have also contacted BBB and am awaiting a resolution. NO STARS I had ankle replacement surgery and need to wear a compression stocking for swelling. It is difficult to put on as I have arthritis in my hands and the stocking is very tight. I saw a product on Active Forever that was supposed to make it easier. Unfortunately, I could not get the stocking on the device so it obviously did not help me get it on my foot. The company will not refund my money as this is a "hygiene" product and cannot be returned. There is nothing hygienic about the product-- it is just plastic. When she decided to return the products, the manager of Customer Service, Josh, said because of a 30 day return policy as well as an issue of hygiene, they wouldn't consider giving us a refund or our money back. NEITHER PRODUCT WAS EVER USED. I told the Josh at Active Forever that my grandmother was in her eighties, that she was on MediCare and that over $300 in purchases is a lot of money for her. I found ActiveForever after a family incident. I was in a panic and not in a great mood, when I called ActiveForever. I needed some things for my Father after he took a fall. I found products on other sites (like one named after a giant river in South America :)) -- but have you tried calling one of those sites to ask for advise -- not going to happen...The staff at ActiveForever was really knowledgable and helped me get some things that helped my Dad get out of bed (by himself), get to the bathroom and take care of business. I don't what I'd do without those things. I'm glad they helped me pick out the correct things as I found out that most toilet and bed products are not returnable. I certainly can understand that! (YECK!). They also have some other really unique products. I ordered a few things as Christmas gifts -- thinga I didn't even know existed until I surfed around the site a bit. People invent the darndest things. The only complaint I have is that some items don't have free shipping -- however, when I compared the price with shipping to other sites with free shipping it was still cheaper at ActiveForever. When I contacted them on a thursday they said they would send the right item. I asked if it would arrive by Xmas (it was a present) and they said they would check and call me back. They never called. 3. I emailed the following Monday- no response. 4. Called late Tuesday. Was told by a manager he couldn't access my record and the person who didn't call NE back Thursday would call me back. She actually did this time. 5. They hadn't sent the right item the prior week so I was told it would go out the next day (Wednesday- I had to have it by Thursday). I told them to forget it and cancel the order. They insisted that they still send me a return label so that I didn't have to pay for the return of the wrong item. 6. Two days later no label. I called again and asked to speak to a manager. I was sent to the voicemail of the person who has been delinquent. Called back and got a manager who said I should receive the label later that afternoon. 7. It's now six days after the call where they said they would send the label and guess what?! NO LABEL! I cannot conceive how at every single step in this process they have managed to perform poorly. Now I have the added aggravation of seeing their web ads every time I'm on the Internet. Because I purchased something there I guess their advertising is following me.
