Both front desk staff and technicians have always been helpful, knowledgeable, and very welcoming. Most importantly, I have been very pleased with my results. I initially started with one laser package and from those results gained the confidence to book additional packages/body areas. I enjoy going to my appointments and would highly recommend them to a friend!

I paid almost $1,600 for Dermamelan treatment on my back, chest, and stomach. I had no allergic reaction during the in‑clinic portion and confirmed my at‑home instructions carefully. A week later, my skin became painful, raw, and the top layer was visibly peeling. I sent photos to the clinic and was told this was "normal" and to continue my post care. It wasn't. My skin barrier was broken, and following their advice meant applying an acid product to open wounds. Within two days, I developed severe chemical burns across my back, chest, and neck. My skin is now scarred and significantly worse than before I ever contacted Bellair. It didn't end there. My in‑person assessment with Dr. Pugen was switched to virtual while I was already on my way, making it useless. As I cried through the appointment, he suggested laser treatment even though both my dermatologist and Bellair's own coordinator said it would be high‑risk for my skin type. Two follow‑up calls were scheduled; nobody called me either time and I had to call the clinic to make the appointments happen. The clinic also took very personal "before" photos of my bare chest and back, then later claimed they COULDN'T FIND THEM and they were never uploaded due to "wifi issues." They use iPads with internal storage, so this makes no sense. The violation of patient privacy is truly baffling. When I requested a refund from the director, Oscar Amar, he dragged it out for 19 days, insisted they "did nothing wrong," and eventually offered a partial refund of no specified amount. After everything, it was like a slap in the face. What happened to me here was NOT OKAY. Period. It was dangerous, negligent, and deeply unethical. Proceed with extreme caution. My experience at SpaMedica has been good but some set backs:…read more The good: -The nurses and staff in the surgical department are actually really great. I had 2 specific nurses who helped me through waking up after surgery and saw me for my follow ups - they were friendly, informative and professional -Dr. Mulholland is a knowledgeable surgeon; I went to 4 consults before choosing Dr.M and I knew I wanted to book with him immediately after meeting him. He walks you through the entire process (albeit maybe too quickly during the consult), the pro/cons and what to expect your outcome to be. Plus he is hilarious; he definitely has the ability to make you feel comfortable in his presence -I told them my previous quotes from other surgeons and without asking they intentionally came in lower than the others tax in to earn my business -For being is Yorkville, his prices are actually pretty competitive for surgical procedures -My surgery was 2 weeks ago now and I am VERY happy with my results -Despite what you're about to read, I would go back to SpaMedica The bad: -The staff downstairs in the non-surgical department are MISERABLE!!! Half of them looked like they literally just rolled out of bed, they run severely behind schedule and god forbid they had to crack a smile -I wish i was better informed about the surgery I had - the average recovery is 5-7 days but because I am a tiny person, there was additional stitching internally which causes a significantly longer and more painful recovery - it's concerning that I was not made aware of this -the consult rep I was assigned was very sales-y (I am in sales so I get it, but this can come off as forceful to other people, tone it down) -Don't make people wait for their pre-planned appointment time! This is something that really drives me insane. My first consult they booked me for 4pm, I took time off work and rushed there in city traffic - I was finally seen at 5pm and left around 7pm. Not cool. -My pre-op appt, again I was told to come for 4 and waited about 35 minutes to be seen ***(however all post op appointments when I was in pain, they definitely gave me priority and was seen within seconds of entering the door - both post op appts I never even sat down) Good luck!

The staff are always ready to answer your questions and they notify you reminders on your appointment. There was one nurse in particular during my surgery who offered to hold my hand if was nervous. I was only sedated which is scary (': but she made it a lot better! The total cost for surgery was $5022.85 I'm pretty sure a lot of people are interested in how much it would cost (:

I was not mistaken, Dr. Tong's meticulous precision, mastery of surgical techniques and dedication are unmatched. It's been six weeks and I could not be happier with my Asian blepharoplasty results. My only regret is not having done it sooner! The level of white glove service was unexpected -- the caring and attentive nurses and exceptional support from coordinators Jean and Shannon (you are outstanding - thank you!) made the entire process enjoyable, painless, and easy. Dr. Tong is a world-class, supremely talented surgeon. I would recommend him wholeheartedly and trust him completely. To be perfectly honest, I feel fortunate that Dr. Tong practices in Toronto.

I wanted to wait until my treatments were fully healed before writing a review, so here I am,…read morealmost 9 months after my initial consultation with NewDermaMed at Yonge and Sheppard. I initially went in for a consultation on getting a really stubborn nose wart removed. My first impression was that the facility was very impressive, well kept, and sparkling clean. They greeted me and offered complimentary coffee and chocolates. Then I found out that they also offered mole removal - something that I've been meaning to look into. They gave me a VERY reasonable quote for each service, explained the procedure, and informed me that each treatment would include a complimentary follow up appointment. I was a little suspicious of the cost because in life you usually "get what you pay for", but I decided to take a risk and called them back to schedule an appointment. I signed a waiver before treatment began. I followed their post treatment instructions and the wart fell off about 3-4 days later. I went for the follow up appointment and it was as if the wart was never there! This was a huge sigh of relief for me because I had been dealing with this wart on my nose for years! For some reason my skin is prone to growing warts over time, so I went back to NewDermaMed at least 2 more times to get new warts removed. One of them was larger than usual but they quoted me the same price as the smaller warts for being so loyal to them. Now for the moles. I had two of them on my face that hurt my self esteem for a very long time. Both the wart and mole removal used the same procedure so they costed the same price. The moles did go away after two follow ups (they did not charge me for a third treatment on the moles) but unfortunately I'm not as happy with the results as there are scars in place of the moles now. However, this was nothing that I did not expect, as they outlined in the waiver that I signed that scarring may occur post treatment. Just be aware that scarring may occur if you do decide to have a mole removed. One thing that didn't go unnoticed here is that they didn't pressure me into making a decision on the spot. Customers often worry about getting harassed with the upselling of services, and I respect the ladies at NewDermaMed for allowing me some time and space to think about it. After the consultation, they emailed me a copy of the quote, and I was free to walk out and make a decision on my own. Evidently, I came back to get the services done (and more!!). Like the rest of Yonge and Sheppard, parking is paid but if you love Whole Foods then you're in luck! Just grab a bite to eat for $15 after your appointment and you'll be able to park there. Overall, my experience with NewDermaMed has been very positive, and I would recommend their services to others. I was a little wary because of the reviews that previous Yelpers have left. However, I believe that the staff at NewDermaMed have heard their voices. They've stepped up their game and I didn't run into any issues that were outlined by previous Yelpers. Thank you, NewDermaMed. I will be sure to stop by again for a different service.

Since she left, however, the quality of service has noticeably declined. The new provider is consistently 30 minutes late for appointments, which is frustrating and unprofessional. I also recently received a peel that had no visible effect -- it felt like a waste of time and money. I plan to complete the few remaining treatments in my package, but I likely won't return after that. It's disappointing to see such a drop in standards after Nadia's departure.
