The cockroach treatment is good but the Sentricon treatment for termites is a waste of money. I checked traps myself and it was clear by the fact that the leaves and pine needles still laying over that some traps that the traps weren't done. I uncovered and opened the traps to check myself and they were completely empty. I called to speak to someone and was treated rudely by a woman from Dixie Exterminators named Jodie. She interrupted me several time while I was talking to the point that I had to ask her to let me finish. I asked for a refund and she told me in no uncertain terms that I would NOT be getting a refund even though the work still hadn't been done. I signed up for pest control services for an ant infestation. I was informed that I would pay an initial $199 and then would pay monthly for quarterly service. This process was not negotiable. When I canceled my service before paying the 3rd installment and after paying 2 payments, I was told that I was not entitled to a refund of $92 because I canceled before the last payment. Once I was told that I would not receive a refund, I asked if I could pay the last payment of $46 to get service and then cancel. No one ever called me back to confirm or deny this process. DO NOT sign up with Active with the process. It's an easy way to get your money if you decide to cancel. read more

I used to love the way this company was run......it was Marietta, Georgia based. Their response times were great and I did not have to jump through "hoops" to speak to a person when I called in. I hate voice prompts!!! Today I walked into my backyard to retrieve the waste bag of dog waste to bring to the curb and discovered that the Active Pest Control person was here today....checked the Termite traps in the backyard.....I know this because he had to dig them out of the dirt....and then forgot to close my back gate.. Thank goodness I discoved this before I let my dog out. I even have a big sign on that gate which reads " PLEASE REMEMBER TO SHUT THE GATE"...... Had I let my dog out ( I cannot see that gate from my back door) she would have run away and I most likely would not have seen her again as she is a rescue dog.....I am furious! read more

I am a long time active customer and have been happy with them, my rating would have been much different a year ago. Well they were bought out by rentokil. I have only had the same tech at my house twice and he is not my normal tech. When they have had issue i had to call to reschedule even though i was told that they would reschedule, well they dont. On one occasion they said they treated but i was home and they did not, another occasion the tech didnt have his bee suit(this was the call) so he wouldnt perform the service. it is just some yellow jackets in a retainer wall. well another guy came over a week later and he didnt spray the entrance despite me pointing to it from a couple of feet away. i even had it marked with a flag. they are not thorough and just want to get to the next appointment. Well ithey cancelled on me today, the tech got sick( I hope he feels better soon) , i get an email saying they will reschedule my appointment. why didnt i get an email with the reschedule already done??? i dont consider this so much a tech issue a a company issue. you should know that rentokil / Erlich also own allgood. I have never had them but i would guess it would be similar. You need to stay away from active. I will be looking for a new provider. read more

The service was so so. I requested them to remove 2 wasp nests in my frontward and they essentially just wanted to spray said nests. I had to point out that I wanted the nests GONE as spraying. Ended up having the technician destroy the nests after spraying. Not really happy with the service given the cost but at least the waits are gone... for now read more

I've been a quarterly service customer for many years. The service is good. I still see an occasional bug. The techs are generally nice. If I have a specific need, they send someone right away. I've also used their mosquito service for the last 5 or 6 years. If I need to have them redo a month they will at no charge. I'm not one to try out different services. She was very sarcastic with her response when I asked if there is any way we could get it today or prior to Monday, her reply was good luck with that, no one is going to do it before Monday. I used them before and was very happy. However, I called on 08/14 to schedule pest services and a representative was scheduled to come out on the 17th. He didn't show. I called back on the 20th and was told the order was dispatched to another representative who was supposed to call and schedule my service. I call back today the representative says I don't have an order in the system. I asked for a manager, she pulls it right up. I told her just cancel because if this is an indicator of the level of service, I don't want it. Sad that the customer service is so bad. read more

Please be aware of transactions on your credit card statement. I called all good office to cancel the service. They still kept sending technician to my property. I had to get a new card from my bank and cancel they had on file because, they kept charging my card even though I spoke to the office to cancel the service. 3 months later I receive an email from their office asking for my new card to which I replied saying that I called to cancel the account a couple months ago and her response was that she doesn't see a note in her system. So it becomes my fault because the rep I spoke with forgot to update the system to cancel my account ! After a year I receive a letter where they not only are assessing renewal fees and plus finance charge for non payment but also fraudulently charging me twice for a month which I already paid them. To HIGHLIGHT not only double charging but also are assessing finance charge by applying payment towards renewal fees and not towards monthly recurring fees which was $49.00/month. All previous payments were authorized to be charged to monthly fees. There is a huge gap in communication between their billing department and service department. They will keep sending technician even though you have called to cancel the service and then call you to demand money since they already serviced the property. I had to literally tell the technician to go back and not service the property. Be careful ! read more

We've been struggling for over a year now. We've been "under warranty" this whole time. In this time, we have caught more rats than this company has. We still can't get all of them. We've tried telling them where the nest is, that they are not getting into any of our food, but are clearly still here. All this company has done is patched holes on the outside and set the same traps in the same places. They missed several holes the first several visits. Finally got them all sealed and still having a problem. My fiance and I are kept awake all night too then running around in the ceiling. We keep the house clean and food put up. This least time they didn't even say any traps. Just told us to "not leave food out" (in regards to the items that have existed in the same spot for over a month and remained untouched by mice or rats). When they do set traps they don't come out often to check them or remove the dead rats. They don't even try anymore it feels. Very sick of the service and lack of trying. We got it all the way down to one rat and then they stopped coming by as they said they would. Very ridiculous. My fiance and I work 40 hour work weeks on usually between 2-5 hours of sleep for months because of this problem. read more

I just recently moved to the area and my old apartment had very few bugs and absolutely no roaches. In my new apartment, I was seeing the large cockroaches and then what I later found out were the german roach babies. I would usually see no more than 1 or 2 a day, but that was 1 or 2 too many! I used the apartment's pest control service and that did not touch these roaches. So I contacted Allgood Pest Solutions, and they came out a few days later. The technician was very informative. He even showed me what their fecal matter looked like (sorry if that is too much info!), which I was seeing in certain areas. The technician let me know that the treatments they use are safe for pets and also organic. He said that if I am still seeing activity after 7 days that they will come back and treat again. I saw some activity until day 5 and now it is day 7, and I have not seen anything. I am hoping that I will be roach free until my next scheduled service, but right now I am very satisfied! Sketchy Slim Shady Neighbor filled out appt request online for Allgood Pest Services (after researching companies). The day before appt, tech calls and reschedules for later same day. Tech arrives 28 minutes early to wrong address (my house). Proceeds to walk around my house without ever attempting to call neighbor or knock on my door (Wrong House). Clearly notices my cameras. Next takes trash, approaches car (knocking on window). Pest tech rudely brushes her off as he is on the phone. Remains on the phone approx 30 mins more before returning to my garage again uninvited and unannounced, before finally going to front porch for 20 secs - to maybe knock. Homeowner was home and never heard knock. Finally calls neighbor as he exits my drive 2:16 & 2:17. So, 16+ mins late for appt and he beelines for her house. Which he never takes his wheel or circles her house and is only there 9/10 minutes after he was at my house 50 mins. Not trustworthy, professional, honest, friendly or feel good service. Not Happy! Allgood does the bare minimum amount of work that they need to do in order to get by. Whether or not they see additional issues that need to be addressed, they will still do the bare minimum and allow your problem to grow so that in the long run, you will need to pay them additional money to have whatever problem they ignored, fixed. My family had their service for a year where they came out and sprayed every 3 months. During that time, they never once brought up any other issues that they might have encountered until we started to have big issues in trying to sell our home. We lost 2 buyers because of Allgood. The first buyer did not give us any detail of why they pulled out of the contract, but it all soon became clear once the second buyer pulled out. First, I need to start by saying that my family had only been in this home for about a year and-a-half. When we first moved in, we had the entire crawlspace re-done with a new vapor barrier, and new insulation (which ran right over $3,000) so never in our wildest dreams did we image that the issue was in the crawlspace. When the second buyer pulled out of the contract, our agent reached out to see if they would share why they pulled out. Their response - the crawlspace was in really bad condition. We were shocked since we just had the work done, but we had someone come out to investigate. The issue - rats...lots and lots of rat feces everywhere. Now, having a pest control company that says they are there to handle all of your pest control needs, it was a little frustrating that there was evidence that this problem had been going on for quite a while. Their excuse for not catching this was "we don't normally go into any crawlspaces or attics". My good friend also has Allgood pest control and let me know that they do go into her attic and actually caught a rodent problem for her... they also peak into our attic at their normal visit, so that was an interesting excuse. During their last visit, the inspector that was there did mention to me that he saw rat feces and asked me if we had had a problem. I told him that we did see one and my husband killed it, but that was the only one that we had seen upstairs. Big red flag to me that if we had seen them, and the fact that he had seen evidence of feces, that they should probably do a little more investigating, right? He did not mention looking into the issue any further at that point. Another red flag that we were finally able to pinpoint was the smell in our downstairs living room area. We had always been able to smell something - we would scrub and clean and it would go away, but always come back. We finally found out what it was from the company that came to give us a quote for the repairs to everything the rats had done ($7,500 by the way). The smell was of course the rat feces and urine that we were living above. My husband and I were so disgusted, we took our 3 year old and went to stay with my mom while this problem was resolved. Allgood did nothing to fix the situation. They had two supervisors come out that day to set traps (which best of all, the rats were able to pick off the bait without getting caught. The Allgood inspector came out a couple days later and he that "all of the traps were still set and that they had found nothing". The Contractor that came to fix everything for us, put down glue traps, and in 3 days, caught 5 rats...) That's when I heard the excuse that they do not normally go into the crawlspace, but one of the supervisors did finally admit some blame. He said that there is a small gap in the door leading to our crawlspace and their inspectors should have made us aware that this is the perfect place for any rodent to enter, and that we should get it taken care of. Not to mention our backyard is a very wooded creek area - again, a perfect place for the rats to be coming from. I asked about clean up ASAP, and the ASAP that I received was a whole 11 days later - completely unacceptable. The Allgood rep on the phone said that that was the only time he had available where an inspector was already in our area - that irritated me because after everything we had gone through: 1. Losing 2 sales, 2. The disgusting smell we had been living above, 3. Their missing this situation completely over the last year, 4. Having to spend now over $10,000 ($3,000 already paid to redo the crawl space when we moved in) for a problem that they should have caught - the rep had the nerve to make it "at their convenience" and when we rep was going to be "in my area". Needless to say, I cancelled my service with them, I did not move forward with them on the cleaning - because of course, they were not going to cover any part of the clean-up, and I am planning on sharing my story with anyone who needs a recommendation. They are horrible and won't do anything to help you when they have created the problem themselves. read more
