Active Pest Control has declined! Before they were purchased by Rent-To-Kill, they were a fairly decent pest control service. Now they just suck! The incompetence defies belief! Customer Service is non-responsive Techs are ill-equipped, and rude, and have to be watched every second to ensure that they perform the contracted services. We finally canceled our service two weeks ago when one of their techs, parked in front of our house for 35 minutes! Never got out of the truck and then left. I was on the phone with customer service explaining that he was just sitting there. She told me she was trying to call him but he was not answering his phone. After that, I was asked if I wanted to file a complaint. WTF! Did she think I wanted to add him to my Chanukah gift list? Do not use Active. The company is staffed by BS whisperers! read more

They came out and did the services, but didn't seem to be adequately equipped to deal with German Roaches so I ended up canceling service. 2 weeks later and I got charged for the month of may when I canceled the last week of April. Billing tells me that was the end of the billing quarterly cycle that was not explained to me AT ALL! positives are they were prompt with their arrivals, especially on extra visits when we had an issue during the renovation of my house. overall fairly poor experience with the company and I'm out $41 dollars I didn't think I was on the hook for. it may not seem much but to a low classer like myself, that's a lot! read more

This company (Active Pest Control) Termite serviced my home on April 7, 2022 at the cost of $100. My credit card was charged $100 twice in error on 4/12/22. I called and was advised they could credit my account for the extra $100 charge. I requested they refund my money back to my card. I called on 4/12/22. I emailed them 4/13/22 and 4/14/22. Was then advised it was submitted for dispute and it would take 7 days then advised it would take 4-6 WEEKS. Called them on 4/26/22. Told we could get a credit. The ball has not only been dropped...but kicked. Please Erlich, tell me how I should be responding to your company right now? THIS COMPANY HAS FAILED TO FULFILL ITS FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITY TO ME THE CLIENT. I have entrusted them with access to my credit card and they have failed me miserably and refuse to take appropriate action. If this is how you conduct business I'm done. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY! They will install termite protection, knowing there are active termites. Won't tell you as they do not have professionals working there, so when you find out you have termites that have been eating up your house, most likely 90% of the time it will be AFTER the 6 months so they won't do anything about it. I even showed multiple pictures and proof of how the damage was by termites and WAS IN FACT WHILE THEY HAD THEIR PRODUCTS HERE TO PROTECT MY HOUSE. Of course the damage was found less than a month after 6 months and they said "it's past your warranty, you can send pictures so I can look, but it won't do anything" what kind of customer service is that? They will not notify you when they are coming, they just show up. after repeated requests to notify me scheduling an appointment. The technician are not equipped to do the job properly. They use hand sprayers to spray the yard, which gives you very little coverage. They do not check the rodent boxes on a regular basis as evidenced by leaves filling up the opening to the boxes. I have over a 3800 square-foot home on over an acre and a half. From the time they drive up to the time they leave sometimes can be less than 20 minutes that was spraying all around the house, deck, patio and upper deck , plus treating the yard and removing a cob ,checking the rodent bait boxes. No Way and with a backpack sprayer. Even the smaller pest companies use truck mounted sprayers these days. so the amount of pest control solution applied is very minimal by them. it said that they can come 50 to 80 days but they have showed up more in the winter than summer at my house which time they only treat the house not the yard but you paid the same at over $150 per treatment I don't think it's worth it, I've canceled my service. The folks working in the field need to be told not to use people's driveways to turn around in. Your person came hauling up my driveway right to the rear end of my vehicle and I'm surprised he didn't hit my car. He came so close to my home that he set off my home security video which takes you getting super close to my home. This is not acceptable. I work from home and saw this happen through my window. Also backing out he decided to go into my yard. Go to the end of the road and turn around nice human. The street is literally a circle to exit. Make a company policy to not use people's driveways as your turn around. This looks highly unprofessional with your name plastered all over someone's truck doing stuff like this. I know I won't be using your services for sure based on how your people represent your company in the field. Seems to be that you all need some help anyway with the types of reviews people leave here. Maybe you need a consultant to help? Just my two cents. Oh and I also called before leaving this review. Horrible, only provided actual services the first year. The second year i was charged for a renewal but did not see that they had come out to check the baits or did any work. Upon being asked for payment i paid for year two but asked for confirmation of what services were provided. No answer was ever given. When they attempted to charge the following January I advised that since no services were being provided I informed them I was cancelling my account. Again no reply. They then charged me again for the next period and after repeating I should not be receiving any services they sent my account (which received no service) to collections. I purchased a one time mosquito treatment for a very specific date via Groupon. I called Active and scheduled an appointment for the date I needed treatment. The representative asked for my voucher number, which I provided, and then she told me that the number on the voucher was "incorrect". It was clearly the only number on the voucher and I read it off correctly. Their rep told me that Groupon voucher numbers only contain numbers, not letters. That is simply not true. She then stated that they would need to see the voucher when they arrived for service, which I told her was fine. As long as they show up on the date that we originally scheduled. They did not show up on the scheduled date or send anyone out here. I called back and spoke with another rep, who also told me the number was incorrect. I then emailed her the voucher, and she saw that the voucher did in fact contain letters and that I was giving them the correct number the whole time. So overall, they cancelled the service on the date scheduled because they didn't believe me that I purchased a Groupon. Then, they were unapologetic when I showed them that it was the correct voucher number, and they did not apologize and then proceeded to push my service date out another week. Terrible customer service, would not recommend nor will I be using their services any further. read more

Active Pest Control has become an awful company to deal with and we're on the verge of quitting service (and taking all of our neighbors we referred to them, with us) I have called the number to get emergency pest control booked a total of 8 times in the last 2 weeks and not 1 person has been able to put me in touch with management or a local service providing office. Nor have they been able to fit me in the schedule they say? I have requested escalation EVERY TIME, even received ticket or case #s associated with my requests and taken the name of every rep I've spoken to and still NOT ONE PEEP. They now seem to have a centralized call center handling all office requests, escalation and service appointments and it is impossible to reach a local office human being. I was told Mr. Stevens was the overarching manager for the Marietta office where our house is districted for and that he's been "in-messaged" to call us urgently and still....nothing. What a waste of time, life and money having to repeatedly call in for such simple requests. This company doesn't seem to care about customer concerns or their technology system is broken and non-functional. I'm left on hold waiting hours only to be told I'm in cue for a managerial call back. Either way, we're shopping around to switch to a more responsive, responsible pest control company. We were with Allgood and very happy with them for 8 years before Active bought them out and now it's all a hot mess. read more

This company took 1700 dollars from my parents and were supposed to get rid of the rats. 5 weeks went by and they still have not done their job. I will never recommend this company to anyone!! Never in my life have I been in an interview where I was belittled by a bunch of condescending men. they had no interest in me or my accomplishments, I was told all of my numbers with other companies sucked that there was no way I should have trained people with my level of experience!they have no clue my knowledge of pest control! I was told that basically, I wasn't worthy to be a pest tech or salesmen at there company but with training, i could do it bye! recommend working here to know one or even applying never in my life have I had an issue ever with a job interview first time I have ever felt worse about myself after leaving an interview give me a break! I have to give them 2 stars because they do have customer service reps who answer the phone and are polite, but they would receive 0 stars from me for their pest control services. Be forewarned that they will charge you an early cancellation fee even in the event you are cancelling because they can't do their job properly. I was simply not willing to put my young children's health at risk by allowing them to continue to "re-treat" despite previous failures. As background so you can judge for yourself, I have lived in 3 houses in the southeast over the past 5 years and have never had issues with Palmetto's being inside the house. However, after having Active treat my new and completely vacant house they were not able to establish an effective barrier to keep them out. I have now had 3 cockroaches, all upstairs, in the span of a month (and trust me we don't have cardboard or food present upstairs, nor is there anything in our attic besides insulation and the HVAC unit). The service tech is in and out so fast on every occasion that I can tell they are not providing a thorough preventative treatment. (They can't even be bothered to open the sticky traps to set in the garage to prevent spiders from entering). I have had great pest control services in the past and this is not one of them. I will gladly be paying more money to someone who can do the job properly. read more

This is the Active Pest Control I have been dealing with for over a decade. There seem to be businesses with the same name and different addresses and phone numbers with varying reviews, but I am speaking just for this Active and my experience. I have had them for maybe 13-15 years, and have never had an issue for pest control services. I used to live in a townhouse that they covered, and they kept the same price since I had been a customer for o long when I moved into a much bigger home. the fixed price has never increased for me, and anytime a competitor has priced against my plan, they are amazed at the value. of course this may not be the same for anyone shopping around, but I will say that it is great that after over a decade my price is stable. They also offer rodent and termite control, so they can be a one stop shop for people. I have not had issues with having them retreat when needed for certain issues too, and the technicians are knowledgeable about their products and will let em know the safety risk or lack thereof, since I have pets. read more
