Not only did Albert come back early from his lunch when he saw us heading towards the door, he also took the time to try all the cases he had till he found one that fit and to top it all off, even in a pandemic, he actually let us have the case for free!!!! That's because of the pizza place next door, and that was the only appealing thing about the place. They had some real crappy guitars, a few amps (one or two might be worth something), a few snowboards, helmets, snow globes, old microwaves, etc, etc. Not much worth a damn.... But he was selling a Gretzky rookie card for $700. That was probably the highest priced item in the store....

A couple of times I have had to go over time alloted to get my stuff back. They are wonderful about it. Yes, after I believe 3 days over, you do have to pay a "per day" fee, but it truly is minimal. They have helped me over and above through some truly sticky situations more than once.

Selling stolen goods. Don't bother with this place…read more Recently had a laptop stolen from me in a B & E. They were the closest pawn shop so I called them to to see if it turned up there. I did not have the serial number, but I could describe it because of distinctive markings. NOTE: I was not looking to get it back for free, nor was I looking for any info on who possibly sold it to them. But due to the fact that I had important stuff on there, I would have gladly just purchased it back. Now I actually don't know if they have it or not because they hung up on me before I could get as far as describing it to them. But the speed at which I was shut down tells me they probably know full well they are selling hot merchandise and operating just on this side of the law (I used to work at a used electronics store and have actually helped out people in similar situations.) It would have been easy, and at no cost - even a profit for them - to help another human being in a tough time. This is your stereotypical sketchy pawn shop. Avoid.

From what I saw it is a good thing they changed their name because I didn't see any advantages of buying anything in their pawn shop except for maybe DVD's at 3 bucks. Although the store is extremely well laid out and super clean, I found tons of stuff to be overpriced and in not so good condition. I think a person would find better deals on Kijiji and Craigslist and items that are in much better condition. The folks there are extremely friendly however and there were a lots of people browsing through the store or perhaps waiting to pawn things. This is not my top pick for a Pawn shop in Calgary but perhaps they buy things at top dollar.
