This place is a great place to deal with if you find yourself in a bit of a money bind. The staff is very respectful and pleasant to deal with. I found this company very accommodating. They have a 7 day grace period. Unlike other pawnshops, they work with you to get your things returned to you. Horrible. Wont be back. I brought in a BRAND NEW still in the box 19.5" monitor. This guy "looks it up" on his tablet and tells me its $80 at Walmart. Then offers me $20. There is NO acer monitors that cost $80. the cheapest one is $98 and that one is 18.5" .Mine cost me $125. Its still sitting at $125 online. Such Liars!!!!! I understand they need to make money too but come on $20 is insulting. I would give this place a 0/5 if I could. I went in here to have some jewelry appraised and had the worst service ever. The woman behind the counter was unbelievably rude. When I asked what she could give me she said "well what are you expecting?" And I said "I'm just trying to get a general idea of what you guys would offer me for this product to see whether its worth me getting rid of" and she then must have decided I wasnt worth my time because she said "Well, I'll give you a penny" dropped my ring on the counter and walked away. Pawnshop Superstore? More like Ripoff Superstore! I went in today to see if it was worth selling my $400 dollar necklace. I waited about 10 minutes for someone to help me. The lady said she could only give me $40?! She gave me attitude when I politely refused. Also, you can see everyone behind the til and one wasn't wearing shoes! These people must think that if you pawn you must be skum . I have tried to pawn there a couple times in the past few years. Each time I was treated like I stole the product , this last time tried to pawn a diesel tuner ( expensive ) was told I had to bring a recipe . the people there treated me like they had had a grudge against me for 20 years . should be able to score below par as well like -1 to -5 . they don't know the concept " treat your customers right , or the customer is always right .. I have been using Pawnshop Super store for some time now. I go in time after to pawn my jewelry just so I can make it from paycheck to paycheck. I have had the out most best service I have ever come across. The staff was extremely courteous and very informative. If you want to sell gold you need to keep in mind it is only worth the price of gold out there at the time. I had my ring appraised here and I know what I payed for it, but was told I could only get about $100.00. So I went to a couple of other places to check and was told the same. On Feb 6 2011 I took a smart phone to the store to pawn/sell cause i did not want it. I spoke with a man there who looked it over asked me what i wanted for it. I told him 150 bucks and he walked over to a phone "made" a call then walked over and told me it was a middle of the road smart phone and they did not want it even though hey had one in the store when i had gone there to buy my Blackberry a few months ago. The guy was rather rude and did not seem to know jack about the phone or phones in general. Later this day my girl friend went there to pawn/sell her blackberry bold which she bought from this very same store the same day I got my phone. She bought it in the exact same condition as it was this day and with the exact same charger with the sticker price still on it she spoke to the same guy I did and he told her the charger was not a Blackberry charger and the backing was falling off which it was when she bought it. He told her they were not buying any last gen blackberries even though they did have one for sale. He again was rude to her and when she stated that she had bought it all here he told her she could leave the store. We will not ever buy from this store again there customer service stinks. Second time my fault i suppose??.... aprox a year ago i pawned a portable stereo at this pawnshop, when i got it out I noticed the power button no longer would work properly, annoyed but what can you do?. I didnt hold it against them. Recently i pawned a brand new laptop computer ... a top of the line toshiba worth just under two grand , it was under a month old., ....when i got it out and brought it home it would not work...... after getting it looked at by a proffessional i was told the hard drive was toast......... and over a grand too fix. Of course i asked how this could happen?? he said either it was dropped or it was set on a magnet . I carefully inspected it for damage.... nothing. So i went to the pawnshopsuperstore to hear their lies. The manager was exceptionally rude and actually accused me of dropping it on my way home......UN@#$!ING beleivable...... anyway that was my experience with the pawnshop superstore.. a two thosand dollar kick in the head.... read more

hello my name is chris and i went in to the pawn shop superstore recently to by my girlfriend a beautiful gucci watch and when i got it home i noticed it was not working. i went back the very next day to tell them the watch was not working and the sales lady said she could not help me .her exact response was whats the chances. now i know all sales are final but when people buy a watch you automatically assume the watch is WORKING,it clearly was not, and the sales lady had the watch in her hand longer than mine, it's her job to make sure the watch is working.it was 15 minutes later when i was at home and we noticed it was not working . i do not have a vehicle and my 24 yr old girlfriend has cancer i hve to work she can not so i cant miss work to go chasing around for a battery . I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO.and there is no guarantee that is even the problem. i think it was very sneaky of PAWN SHOP SUPERSTORE se Calgary to do what they did to me . that 600 dollar watch was not the first item i have bought there but i can say it will be my last. sincerly yours chris the roofer. read more
