The two physical therapists I saw were excellent, but god help you if this company makes an error…read morein your billing. Before I started therapy I called and told them I had a Humana Medicare PPO policy and a six month old list of in-network providers that listed their address and phone number, but did not specifically list their company name. I asked if they were still in network with Humana, was told that they were. I made an appointment and at the first session gave them my Humana insurance card and was charged the in-network copay of $10 for that session and eventually for the 7 sessions that followed. At the end of the 7th session, I was told that they were actually not in-network and that the copay was actually $45 per session. I called their billing office twice and asked to speak to someone about this. The first time I was told that someone would call me back in a few minutes...they didn't. A few days later I called again and was told that a manager would call me back in a few minutes...they didn't. I wrote them a letter explaining the problem and stated that I would not have had a single session with them had I been told that they were out of network...they didn't respond. Eventually I got a bill from them stating that I owed them $280. I wrote them another letter specifically disputing their bill. They ignored my letter and just sent me the same bill again the next month. All of the confusion stems from two issues. First, this facility was a different company in 2024 and at that time was in-network with Humana. Around that start of 2025, they were acquired by Calif Rehab and Sports Therapy, which is not in-network. Second, they do not have a dedicated front desk and whoever is not working with patients at the time does the check in. There does not appear to be a list of insurance companies for them to consult when someone checks in. Neither of the therapists I dealt with or their assistants knew that they were no longer in-network with Humana. They really need to decide if they want to stay in business. Unless or until they get their act together I would advise you to avoid dealing with them. In the mean time, I hope someone in management over there directs their billing office to fix this.

I have now been going to Atlantis Physical Therapy on and off for a year and a half. I first started with my thumb, I have osteoarthritis so it can flare up periodically and cause pain. Most recently I am working on a painful-stubborn tennis elbow. My therapist is Dustin and I can't express enough gratitude for him. He is the best OT I've ever worked with, his professionalism and his knowledge in his field are off the charts. Atlantis is lucky to have him, if you need an OT stop looking and don't think anymore, go to Atlantis Physical Therapy and ask for Dustin. He is always on time, always super helpful, always patient, always pleasant and very professional!!! He truly cares about each and every one of his patients; I can see him interacting with other patients while I'm getting my own treatment and I'm always in awe that someone cares this much about helping people work through their pain! He never misses an opportunity to ask how I'm doing while we are working through each of the exercises, he has made for my specific needs, while making sure I'm doing them all correctly and without pain! He's always willing to help others, I see this especially in the summer when he's mentoring students who want to go into this field, they don't know how lucky they are to be learning from him! Lastly, Dustin listens to you and brings his knowledge and compassion to the table every single day; he's funny too and such a great human being! From the very beginning, the care I've received has been thoughtful, attentive, and encouraging. Erin, my physical therapist, has been instrumental in my recovery. She focuses on strengthening my core and legs while carefully observing and listening during each session. Thanks to her attention to detail, I've learned that my knee positioning and the way I've been favoring it contributed to stiffness and limited rotation in my hip. She consistently provides targeted exercises to correct these issues and build strength, and I truly feel the progress. I can actually stand straight now. Able and Cami also make a big difference in the overall experience. They always greet us with smiles and laughter, which makes each visit enjoyable and helps the time pass quickly. Able, in particular, is very helpful with guiding proper posture and ensuring correct technique during exercises. Frank can immediately ascertain what muscle areas are impacted. Frank works on the entire body, neck to toes. As a woman, I felt very comfortable with Frank as my preferred message therapist. It's not like other places I have been where the therapist just leaves you to do your exercises and observes occasionally from a distance. I have worked with most of the therapists there and cannot recommend them enough. The constantly adjust my treatment plan to find what works best for me. Kerri and Lauren I have worked with the most and they are both great. I have done Pilates with Pam as well and she is a wonderful instructor. Mel at the front desk is great and a huge help getting appointments set up. She really goes above and beyond. I have had one massage here as well and that also was excellent. Parking is plentiful in the lot behind. Highly recommended.

PPT is exceptional in helping individuals of all ages and needs. When I tore my meniscus in October 2024, I actually told my orthopedist that I didn't want to do PT based on my past experiences which spanned places that were either too cautious of hurting me so they treated me like an 80 yr old fragile person or places that had canned exercises that never changed over months with aides that didn't seem to care but rather were just checking off boxes. My doctor recommended I try Penninsula PT so I reluctantly called to make an appointment and asked for a therapist who "would treat me like an active person not an 80 yr old" and Tameka said "oh I have just the person for you!". And be careful what you ask for because Dr Uriah is no joke! His athletic training background in combination with his physical therapy expertise is exactly what I was looking for because he is not just here to get you back to functional - his tailored protocol while intense is always safe but he will push you as far as you want to go. I can honestly say that I am stronger than I ever was because he identified weaknesses that contributed to my injury and now I feel bullet-proof. In addition to the physical therapists who are all very qualified, I've never experienced a place where the entire staff is so uber committed to their patients' recovery and well-being. Here's what makes PPT exceptional: -Focus on patient progress and outcomes: All other places I've been have a set timeslot and standard exercises. At PPT, they don't manage your treatment to the clock - they make sure you are getting in what you need including the ice/ stem even if you're finished with your exercises at 5:45. They never rush you. - Care for all age groups and conditions . When I'm at PT, I see patients across all age groups ( children, teens, young adults, middle age, senior even in their 80's ) working rehab programs tailored to each person's condition and capabilities. I have been going for a year and not only has my knee and sciatica condition improved dramatically , it's great to see others making similar progress. - The aides are spectacular. Given my extensive treatment duration, I have worked with nearly all of them and I couldn't be more impressed by their work ethic, knowledge, intellectual curiosity, and congeniality. These young men and women definitely put you to work with pleasure. - You can tell the ethos of the facility comes from Mark the owner who clearly wanted to build a business that is here to help people live their best lives. Sometimes a place that is so dedicated and committed can be serious and intense but not here, everyone who works here is obviously fulfilled and happy to be here. I followed her from the now closed Success PT to Peninsula PT because she was the best therapist I ever had, and she teaches physical therapy at USC as well. I am now able to take 10,000 steps for several consecutive days with no problem! And I can do stairs like an adult, which I could not do for 5 years. Thank you, Ginelle!
