Dr. J Nguyen is friendly, but when it comes to standard of care, she needs improvement. I have had multiple physicals by various physicians (PCPs or from my past work's in-house Physician, or change of providers). With my new insurance, I was assigned Dr. Nguyen. During my physical, she barely assessed me. She placed the stethoscope ontop of my clothing (the MAs did not offer a gown), she did not wash her hands on front of me (or even use the hand sanitizer) she did not properly exam me. I was not asked any of the traditional or standard questions I've been asked by other Physicians. Given that I'm a new patient, I would expect a more through health history assessment or more questions to be asked- they are lacking OR they simply don't care. There is an abundance of plants in the lobby area, some are dying- not well taken care of. The magazines in the waiting area are old and outdated. The fish tank in the lobby area needs to be cleaned. First impression yells out "sloppy and unattended". There are stacks of PAPER chart in the back as they have not gone electronic. By 2018, I believe there is a law to be electronic for medical records, at least that is what is expected in a SNF, acute, and assisted living. Maybe clinics are an exception? Either way, they are clearly behind in their charting and the clinic is in dire need of TLC. The chairs are torn, the floor needs sweeping and so much more. As for the exam room- it feels like a dirty closet. The area to draw your blood is dark, cold, and cluttered. I wish I was assigned another provider so I will be looking to change providers to someone who actually takes the time to get a better health background. Also, the doctor went on vacation so the one in her replacement would not take new patients. Therefore, you would not only have to wait until she returns, but she would be completely booked when she did return. Overall, I've had multiple providers, as my insurance changes, therefore so does my provider. This place would be at last place.

They said they would and give me a call , a week now and no calls. They want you to use their app for appointments. BEWARE, the app will charge your co pay and add a $50 charge for cancellation. I asked them about the $50 charge and asked them to remove it. They said it will automatically get refunded. A week goes by and still no refund. After a quick 5 min call with a doctor, he sent an Rx in to the drug store and within a short time, I am taking the new Rx and hopefully feeling better soon. I was able to create an acct, upload some information and have the call with the doctor within 10 min. So happy I didn't have to wait all day at Urgent Care or have to wait until Monday. Cost was $75, which I feel was very reasonable compared to what I would have paid at urgent care, not to mention a long wait time.

With…read morea background in Healthcare Administration, I am often broken hearted at the lack of care my clients recieve. I have been shocked at how many medically trained Dr's wont even say "Hi" or acknowledge my clients or even attempt to communicate with my clients. So many Dr's rush you in and out and this is sadly especially true with intellectually disabled clients, IMO, who often need help the most. Today I brought one of my clients to see Dr Buff at El Camino Health Urgent Care and was so impressed with this Dr!!! My client is not very verbal and has mood swings constantly and Dr Buff worked with him amazingly. I believe he is very experienced with the intellectually disabled. He asked him questions, asked me questions and went out of his way to help my client with a wound. My client felt so comfortable with Dr. Buff, which is not usually the case with other Drs. Dr. Buff even walked us out to our car after the appointment and helped me assist my client with getting in the vehicle. Dr Buff even went out of his way to call me later the same evening to check on my client. Thank you so much Dr Buff!!! We need more Dr's like you who actually care about people and don't treat us like a number. THANK YOU DR BUFF!!!

I went in for severe shooting pain in the foot, hoping for some help that would let me walk soon or at least some guidance on how long to rest. Lupe the med tech was great as was the xray tech. Dr. Buff - Greider blamed the pain on my flat feet that I've had my whole life. He kept repeating this through the visit, and was a bit incoherent and mumbling at some points. I asked if a boot might help, he refused. He said i made my own pain worse by massaging it and it wasn't healing cos i wasn't icing enough. I couldn't get in a word to talk about how i was doing these things or to get context in. He kept asking about orthotics, which i do wear, but then blamed my orthotics and said i need better ones (no chance to talk to him about which ones i actually wear). I asked what the xray was for then, like a stress fracture or what and he said no. Wouldn't clarify the reason and again started to talk about flat feet. Who wants to pay to be insulted when you're already in so much pain? I left the appointment abruptly weeping and hobbling. It was the worst medical visit i have ever had, and being a woman of color, I've had more than my share of not being heard and talked over. Can't recommend this doctor.
