Horrible. I have used this company on and off for several several years. I don't know if the company has changed hands but everything from the technician and his lack of skills to the customer service to people no showing makes me think the company has changed ownership or management. Horrible company to deal with now. We had a technician come out in January who misdiagnosed a problem completely. Spent five minutes in our master bathroom. Diagnosed a problem with the shower that actually ended up being the toilet!!!! Then sent a bill for well over $200. When we explained, we had to have a second plumber, from another company come out because when we called to say, the problem was not fixed, they could not get to us because they had "a bigger emergency that cand up" and lasted well over a week and told us everyday for a week and a half that someone would be out to follow up to the problem since it was misdiagnosed and everyday someone no showed. So finally we thought forget it , we'll call another company. I called Action Plumbing to tell them just forget about it. We had to get another company/ plumber in for this problem. And also because the problem was misdiagnosed we did not think the $200+ was worth it. they reduced it to $90, which I understand and completely support paying for someone's time.. Even though he did not know what he was doing and did not diagnose the problem. Happy to pay for his time.I was positive that I paid it over the phone THAT day with the woman When we discussed it. Apparently the bill was not paid over the phone as I thought it was in January. So instead of getting a reminder letter or reminder email over he past 8 months I have a law office calling and texting me and sending me emails this past week with a very rude woman named Gina. Basically telling me I am heading for collections and I better pay it or else! I was so confused by this whole thing? Why would a small mom & pop company not have the decency just to call their loyal customers and remind them they have a small outstanding balance. Instead, I've got rude Gina reaching out to me with horrible customer service. So we are no longer customers of theirs. And I can only imagine what they're paying this third-party law firm to take care of a very easy inside accounting job. Doesn't make any logical business sense to me. But quite frankly this whole company doesn't make sense to me anymore. All in all I would NOT recommend this company. They have been completely unprofessional to deal with from the technician coming out, numerous no-shows to a law office calling to basically threaten me over $90. Just wanted to give a shout out to Action Plumbing in Tyrone. And the three plumbers Travis, Marcus and Luke. To say the least they know what they are doing. They fixed not one but two leaks in the concrete pad. They had both fixed by lunch. Fantastic work. Thanks guys. Also a special thank you to Lauren she was instrumental in getting the work order processed and keeping me informed. This is the third or fourth time they have been here to fix leaks. You see I bought a new house in 89 and it had the infamous...I think it's some find of polly material for water lines. Trust me it's really bad. These guys helped me out every time. read more

Update: This review has been up for weeks and you didn't reach out until the BBB contacted you so this will continue to be handled by the BBB. I have contacted the BBB about this company and am waiting on a response. Not once did they let us know about a service call fee. Not once did they give my tenants a price. They were literally inside of my rental property for 5 minutes and when my tenant asked what was wrong and what the price was so that he could relay the message to me and get my approval FIRST, the man said oh I took care of the issue so don't worry about it and left. Now I get a call saying I owe $250 for a flap. I'm a business owner and I never surprise any of my customers with a price, they know UP FRONT. My team makes sure to update all of my customers through out the repair process rather then having the customer come to the store to pick up their equipment with a surprise cost. read more

Good Knowledgeable and fair people. I read other reviews but understand plumbing is an expensive business with paying trucks, guys, and not knowing if someone used a half roll of toilet paper or something serious is happening. So base visit rates are a must to survive. With that said I only use local businesses for my home needs and ask about the visit price when calling. Be smart with any service company whether electrician, plumber or whatever. Local businesses is what this Township survives on. Just ask, ahead of time about the manditory charges then decide f you want to look for another quote or try to do it yourself. One thing is they have always been nice and professional when talking or dealing with them. I have nothing bad to say and all good things about the experience. read more

We contacted them because of a leak that appeared to be coming from our shower. The technician showed up and said it was a grout issue. My husband said he would apply fresh grout and the guy left within 5 minutes of arriving. We received a bill for $165.00 and were shocked. We had used this same company a year ago and that was not how the transaction was handled. I talked to the customer service manager and he reduced our bill to $125, still too high based on our last dealing with this company. I would never recommend this company. Both times the technician was pleasant. It's too bad their company is not upfront about service call pricing. read more

We purchased a water heater from Action Plumbing 5+ years ago. The service was prompt and efficient and we were completely satisfied. We had similar issue. We use to het reasonable quotes. This last time was the last time we used them. We were quoted $500 if they did the work or $300 if we did the work. We did the jack hammering and prep to have a toilet flange moved to a 12 in standard (was 10"). Sent pics to let them know it was ready. They came out, cut the pipe, added the new pipe and said they were done. I asked about the flange and that couldn't be done until the cement had been poured and dry. Ok, we did that. They came back but the pipe collapsed slightly so the flange would not fit and broke. They tried another with no luck, left to grab another and it worked. Was put on crooked so we had to jimmy rig it so the bolts would hold down the toilet. A week later I got a bill for $600. I called saying we were quoted for $300 or $500, we did the work so no more than $350 is what I expected to pay. We use to pay at time of service but now they bill. Two weeks later I got a call of $337.50. I was waiting for a physical bill with the new fee but that never came. I have paid through my bank but was never cashed. Broke it up in half did it again with no luck. Just looked and address has changed again still trying to pay. Put a stop on last one sent out. read more
