Steve was so unprofessional and straight out rude. I told him I wanted my nose piercing on the other side to match. it was uneven. I had to even ask him for a mirror to look at it in the first thing I said was it looks too high. I ended up getting my money back but he was horrible about it and called me a bitch the C word said I was a drug addict among other names. then told me that my nose was crooked. His gf came out and tried to fight me. she's works there too. he also had a gross hickey on display. This place and man traumatized me. No compassion or professionalism in the slightest. I will be calling the better business bureau. Do not go Steve or this will happen when he makes a mistake. read more

I've been to this shop 2x since I've moved to Taunton. I have over a dozen tattoos and numerous piercings, from many different places. Both times at this place have been terrible. The first time I wanted my Monroe piercing re-done cause I had to take it out for passport pictures. The piercer told me he would be able to open it up without piercing it again. This procedure took longer and was much more painful than any other piercing I have EVER gotten (and I have my nipples pierced!) I went back to get my nose pierced despite my first bad experience. I walked in the doorbell rang, there were 2 tattoo artists working on people in separate rooms and no one up front. I stood at the desk for someone to at least acknowledge that I was there for 5 solid minutes before walking in back to see if anyone was there. One of the artists told me "maybe someone is outside" I went back to the lobby area and waited for another 5 minutes before just leaving because it was clear no one was going to help me. I've worked in the service industry for over a decade the most basic thing to do is say hello when someone walks into your shop. I have nothing against the artists that work there and I don't know what their tattoos are like because I haven't gotten one at this shop. I want to get a sleeve done and I KNOW for sure I will NOT be getting it done here. read more

I hate to give Action Ink a low rating but they're really not the best place to go to for a tattoo or a piercing. Although I got my tragus pierced there and it healed right away, I got my belly button done there when I was 14 (after my body rejected it the first time in which I didn't get it pierced there) and they pierced it with the ring. Although most people say you're supposed to get it pierced with the ring, I believe that's completely false. I sleep on my stomach so that caused the ring to be constantly pushed to the side and eventually gave me a keyloid. I had to go back to get it popped and I literally cried the whole time (I have a very high tolerance for pain). And only then did he change the ring to the barbell. The piercer (Slim) is a comical guy, you just have to be the right person to understand his humor. I mean he can be a little bold but he means well. As for tattoos, I never got a tattoo done there, but my brother has and was going to again but he decided that their price for what he wanted done was too much and now he thinks that they're shady. read more

I was recommended this place because of Ryan but he was busy (booked solid for 2 months) and I was getting something very small and not complicated (so I thought) added to another tattoo I had. So I booked an appointment with a different artist. When I arrived I showed him my drawing and he argued with me about the size and design. So I suggested he re-draw it with the idea still in mind and make the parts he thought were too delicate stronger. He refused. (Is he not good at drawing? Was he just too lazy to even try?) So then I suggested a refund if he didn't feel comfortable doing what the guy who booked the appointment had said was fine. That was when he started back paddling-- some how we managed to work things out a bit after that. We realized there was room to make my original design a little bit bigger and didn't add the delicate detailed lines and we both felt more comfortable about it. When he put the stencil on he put it in the wrong place--which if he hadn't been so rude up until that point I wouldn't have cared but it was obvious he found me annoying and wasn't really listening to what I was saying. Awesome. The work itself came out not horrible. Thank god. I asked him to fix one part I thought looked a little off and again he argued with me about it so we just left it. Horrible attitude, Horrible customer service, passable actual work-- though the full time spent tattooing took five minutes maybe less. I understand some artist don't like doing whatever you throw at them and would rather discuss things ahead of time but if that's the case don't let someone randomly book you then. The fact that I, as the customer was getting this mountain of attitude was bullshit. Overall, disorganized, argumentative and rude. I will never go back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

if i could give this place no stars i would. I got talked into going here by the mistake I used to date. It was conveniently located right down the street from his house... so we picked a day and went. This day happened to be any piercing $25 day! Ugh i shoulda just walked away upon seeing the sign for it. Anyways, the piercing that I chose to get was my industrial. Simple right? When we're in the jammed little room getting ready to pierce my ear the piercer tells me that if I pass out he gets to tea bag me. Thats right. If i hadn't been with my guy I woulda left, but I proceeded anyways to let this sketch ball pierce me. He pierced my ear and put a huge barbell that was probably 2 inches too long in my ear and then hands me a shorter one and tells me that I'll be able to change it by Monday. Um. no. It got infected and nasty and I had to go to chameleon to get it all fixed up. All in all, worst piercing experience ever. Oh, and the guy I was with got his lip pierced, which also got wicked infected, probably more than my ear. read more

I have had two of my tattoos done here (by Mike), and I am happy with both. Mike is a good, honest guy that will tell you if something is a good idea or not. I enjoy his company when I am there. I literally have no complaints. My mother also had a couple of tattoos done here with no problem. My only complaint is about the owner. He can be kind of annoying. I don't want to joke around, and be a smart a$$ back and forth with you. I just want to come in and for you to take me seriously and for me to get my work done. This place gets ZERO stars from me. Douchebag at the desk insults me when I tell him I want to have my 14 year old daughter's ear pierced. "I hate kids, they're useless and there is no point in bratty kids..." Needless to say my daughter had not said a word yet, only me. He never cracked a smile, wasn't nice, never marked my kid's ear and was extremely rude. Said he wasn't a people person. He stabbed my daughter's ear using the same cork a previous poster discussed, used and previously stabbed marks in it, never marked my daughters ears. Rattled off a bunch of cleaning instructions, handed her a slip with more instructions and sent her out the door. NEVER AGAIN! I also hope this place gets shut down. He swore in front of us and pissed and moaned about piercing kids all day. If this shit gets infected I'll be making some much needed phone calls. read more

I guess you get what you pay for... I heard of this place from my girlfriends sister, who said they had piercings for 25 dollars. I thought why not, her piercing seemed fine, and it seemed legit. She did tell me the guy who pierced her was a bit of a jerk, but I figured since she's only 16, and is one of those confused high school girls who transitions trends like no tomorrow just didn't take her seriously. He kept saying "you'll regret it later" and things along those lines which put her off. So I go in there on my day off, just a random spur of the moment thing. I decided to get my nipples pierced. I follow one of the men into an extremely small room, and get prepped for the piercing. He drew the dots where the needle would go through, and it seemed to be going smoothly. It was when he pierced it I wasn't ready. With all my other piercings I at least get a heads up from the piercer... He just shoved the needle in there and of course my body kind of jerked a bit as a reaction. He then starts saying "You gonna make it? You sure you can handle it..." Clearly with all my other piercings and tattoos I'm pretty sure I can "Handle it".... Same with the other one. He just shoves the needle through. No warning, and tells me to leave. I mean I might not be taken seriously, as a small 20 year old girl, but if this is how I was treated, and my girlfriends sister was treated maybe I'm seeing a pattern? I could be over thinking it but again, it's just rather disheartening. Come to find out, one of the rings is crooked... It's giving me a lot of trouble, though I know nipple piercings are a bit difficult with the healing process. I guess it wasn't a terrible experience, just not a pleasant one. I hate to use the term "customer service", but essentially that's what builds your reputation. It was a get in, get out process. I love to go to different shops and experience different shop environments, and all the other ones have felt very welcoming. This was was just small, unfriendly, and unpleasant. Bottom line, if you want a cheap piercing (I wont even think about a tattoo here), then this is the place. If your looking for an experience, look around for other shops. read more

I love this place. I went here first to get my nipples done and I was in and out in a matter of 3 minutes. The piercer is funny and made me feel totally relaxed. I got a few small tattoos there and then my tragus. Nothing ever got infected and healed pretty quickly. My friends have all been pierced and tattooed there with great results. The dudes are chill and it doesn't cost you your first born child to have someone stick a few needles in you. I recommend it. read more

This place is just bad. I don't know how the tattoo artists got liscensed, but it's pretty sad that I can draw better than them and I graduated highschool. Their art sucks, their tattoos sucks. Their ego is even worse. They have a horrible attitude. Their piercings are worse. Let's start with this guy not even letting me get the piercing I wanted because it was "illegal in Massachusetts"(I went 20 minutes down the road and got it done...legally) but he was extremely rude. He pierced my friends tongue and wouldn't let me watch because I was noise, but it's not like it would matter if I were screaming because he missed his mark and now my friend's tongue is messed up. Yes, their prices are cheap, but they're cheap for a good reason. I wouldn't go there if they gave me money to be pierced. read more

Went to this place with a tasteful medium size tattoo of a silhouette of a dragon (signifying my daughters birth year) for the back of my neck. I liked the simplicity and it was clean to my eye (I'm a graphic designer and have a great asthetic). Anyway.. I forget who did the tattoo but he was the only guy there.. a part time firefighter or something. He made it HUGE (and I've seen enough tattoo shows to know a frigging silhouette didn't need to be 10 inches high) then proceeded to make just the outline of the dragon with A GREY DROPSHADOW. WTF. Seriously? He didn't even tell me until it was "done". It can't express how hideous this thing is. I won't even get the outline filled in because it's shakey, huge and I don't even want to keep something with a cheesy drop shadow which is so 1980. So I will never get a tattoo again since apparently they don't give 2 craps about their "canvas" who has to wear this forever. Then I brought my sister there to get a simple piercing and the owner kept calling her a slut and how she looked like she wanted to get some and if she fainted he'd teabag her. He kept going on while she was tearing up until I finally told him to shut the f up and did he talk to his mother and wife that way. He said he did. I don't mind swearing, or racy humor but his humor SERIOUSLY made her and I feel violated. What kind of dumbass treats people that way? When I was getting my tattoo he came out laughing that he was giving a lesbian a genital piercing then proceeeded to go into detail about what her anatomy looked like and not exactly in a flattering way.. I've gone here for both a nose piercing and a tattoo. Definitely worth it. The guy who did my nose piercing was really funny, clean and quick. For my tattoo, I went in around 1pm and they were able to fit my in for 4pm. The guy who did my tattoo was easy going and funny (Gil). He did a really great job with a quote on my ribs and was patient when I was in pain. I'd say it was worth it. read more

Negative stars. My niece went for a tongue ring, she asked to have me in there with her, they said NO! I said I am going in, then they pushed me aside whole TWO nasty old men locked her in a room!!!! She was so upset. I banged on the door until she finally got out. I don't know what they planned on doing with her, but she was crying when we left. Never, ever go there. Highly do not recommend especially Mike who works there long hair pulled back in a ponytail he rushed through a tattoo he did the other day and it got completely infected not sure if it was because he was in a rush or if the needle wasn't new highly advise anywhere else! Just dont go here. The guy who pierced my nose was awful. I asked him about peircing over scar tissue and before I finished my sentence he said it would be fine. He didn't mark where he was going to peirce my nose or ask where I wanted it. He was talking so fast, I really didn't even have a chance to think. Anyway, while he was piercing my nose was when he thought it'd be a good time to tell me how to take care of my piercing. I know most people can handle being poked with a needle but I'm a bit of a wimp. So, while I'm getting it done I can't really focus on much else but not passing out. He was really rude told me to get up, so my friend could sit down to pierce her. They must make their money quick there, it's like in and out piercing. Aside from that my piercing is messed up, it's at too much of an angle and was infected for a few weeks there after. read more

This place deservers no stars at al. I would never go back to this place ever and wouldn't recommend it to anybody. I went in about a year ago to get my belly button pierced, and it was the time when piercings were half off so that is initially what made me decide to go there & one of my friends had also gotten hers done there and it seemed fine. When I got there, the man was extremely rude to me and my mother giving us attitude about not having a birth certificate with us since I was still 17. After driving all the way home to go get it and then back there in the same night, he was still extremely rude to us but agreed to do the piercing. It seemed normal and fine at first, but the metal ring made it nearly impossible for it to heal correctly and they said I couldn't change it for nine months...other piercers I know say that is untrue and a bunch of crap. One day at work about 6 months after I had gotten the piercing, it got caught on something and ripped. From this I learned that the piercing was done too shallow and close to the edge of my belly button. Because it was improperly pierced it could not heal correctly and eventually the top of my belly button split in two and I was forced to take the ring out. I recently got it repierced at a different place and even the piercer there agreed once he saw the scar that it was pierced way too shallow and that can cause a lot of problems especially if ripped, which I experienced. Clearly they do not know what they are doing and I suggest no person ever trust them to do a piercing of any kind. I wish I had known that before I went here. read more

I would not suggest this place at all. The front desk associate is rude, and brazen You are not treated as if you or your money matters. The ego and attitude they have does not match their quality of work. You would expect a place proudly displaying works of such low quality would be a lot more humble. I regretted scoping them out the second I walked in. It was very unprofessional, unwelcoming, and not at all worth the money. It seems like though if you have spare cash in between hits of heroin this is the place to go, since I can't imagine anyone with a sense of dignity letting someone there tattoo them. It's akin to basement tattoos, and even then, I've seem some higher quality basement works than the 'professional' ones this place offers. read more

This was the worst piercing place I've ever been to. I have more than 30 piercings and I went to Action Ink with my friends as a spur of the moment kind of thing. Its $35 everyday except Wednesdays when its $25 which sounded great. I've paid $30 for piercings that were some of my best ones. The guy that owns this place pierces and tattoos. The four of us got a total of five piercings and were in and out in less than 20 minutes. He was rude and gross. It was totally unprofessional. I don't care how much it costs, I do not want to go to a place to get a piercing and get antagonized. He was a jerk. After two of my friends went, I wasn't going to go, but I had already paid. I KNOW about piercings. This guy used a cork when he pierced my tragus and used rings for all of my friends' piercings. He used medival tactics to put the jewelry in and close it. He didn't draw dots for the needle on any of us. I told him exactly where I wanted it pierced and he completely missed. My tragus piercing is practically on my face and way too low. I'd give this place a zero if I could. It wasn't even clean. I will NEVER go back here. Eww. I hope someone closes this place down. read more
