I recommend this place to anyone who considers sterilization the main priority! Two years ago I brought my 5yr old daughter to get her ears pierced for her birthday. Today I went back for my other daughter who just turned six. My experience today was the exact same as it was two years ago. Dorian's priority is sanitation and sterilization. He is extremely conscious of this in his practice. My daughter was nervous and needed me to hold her hand thru this and was stalling a bit but still wanted to proceed. Dorian was very patient and truthful to her when she asked if it was going to hurt her at all. He cleaned her lopes several times, marked the spot to puncture then checked it over very carefully. With his sterile tools by his side he then began. He walked her thru each step then asked her to take a deep breath and in two seconds the hole made. My daughter never even flinched a muscle! End result was beautiful and my daughter is thrilled!! Also want to add he has a great selection of earrings to choose from. He requires an I.D of the parent/guardian as well as a form of I.D for the child before the service. This guy is by the book and simply Fantastic!! I highly recommend him! read more

As all of the reviews say, this place knows what they are doing and does it well. I brought my daughter there to get her second earlobe holes done because the local Claire's went out of business (thank God!). I decided to seek out a professional establishment and chose Doorway Beyond Piercing Studio for the positive reviews. I wasn't let down and my excited daughter had an experience that left her feeling confident, happy and not traumatized. At first meeting Dorian, he's definitely not a Claire's jewelry counter associate and thank goodness he's not! When he did my daughters piercing, both she and I felt secure and calm with his Zen vibe and subtle yet obvious intellect. His evident experience and confidence, though humble, provided a trust that made for an incredibly stress free and empowering moment. The cleanliness, sanitation equipment, quality of jewelry and effort into safety is, as others have said, top priorities for this establishment. After having my daughter's ears pierced here I couldn't recommend or consider a Claire's type option in good conscience again but highly recommend a Dorian experience. Live and learn! Did a lot of research prior to choosing Doorway Beyond for a single nipple piercing. I messaged the day before inquiring about an appointment and was told to come at my leisure. I asked for Dorian due to my research and I wasn't disappointed. Baring your breast's to a stranger can be VERY weird, but I felt fine and he was extremely professional. We went over which piece of jewelry and after care and he even verified the sterility of the jewelry after putting in the autoclave so I felt comfortable. His set-up was as close to sterile as you can get (I'm a Nurse I didn't want to bring it up at the time). I'm on day 5 today and there was no bleeding, no redness, some soreness, but really nothing that wasn't anticipated. I'm really thinking about getting my other side done since everything has so far gone so well. There are gorgeous jewelry displays and a nice low key feel. I always wanted to have my tragus pierced. I kept changing my mind back-and-forth. I was so incredibly nervous. A good friend of mine recommended 'Doorway Beyond' so I went with my daughter and her boyfriend. I was so happy with the service I received from Dorian. First of all The shop was beautifully set up, all the employees were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. Dorian immediately put my mind at ease, his technique in piercing made the process easy, painless and an enjoyable experience. I'd like to add they use disposable products and everything is sterilized. Super clean, great knowing you need not worry about infection. I'm so delighted I went there. I just left my appointment for a "personal" piercing. This studio was amazing. I am so grateful that I waiting the week for my appointment. Truly I thought about bringing impulsive and go where I could quickly, but the two there were so fun and kind and truly put me at ease with how they took care of the whole process. Too be honest it was the first time getting a piercing that the piercer showed me the "pass/fail" slip they put with the equipment that they use for the piercing, plus the barbell. I can not say enough positive things about how my experience was. I will definitely go back there for any and all future piercings. I had an amazing experience at doorway beyond. I went in for a replacement helix piercing that fell out and a new belly ring. Matt assisted me and was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire experience. The rest of the staff was super friendly and we had a great conversation while waiting for my jewelry to be sterilized. Matt was able to find me exactly what I wanted in jewelry while assisting me with finding better jewelry that wouldn't fall out (both of my piercings were 5-10 years old and fall out all the time). Overall, great knowledgeable and friendly staff. Clean establishment with a wide variety of jewelry. I will gladly be recommending my friends here and I look forward to coming back! read more

Dorian and his staff are more than amazing. Dorian pierced my daith a little over 2 yrs ago, and changed out my jewelry a yr ago. His recommendation and patience with all my questions was amazing. SO I decided to go back and have him pierce my nostril in November. I called him today (quite literally 5 minutes ago) and asked about when I can change the stud out because its a little big now that the swelling has gone down and blah blah blah. Again, he was super patient and had a great recommendation. I cant wait to gt in there this weekend and have him swap it out for me. I recommend Doorway Beyond to everyone I know. This was my first time coming here, and it won't be my last... I was undecided on what piercing I was going to get but Dorian was beyond patient and very informative. The day of the piercing, I arrived earlier than my appointment time, the shop wasn't busy so he immediately started getting me set up and ready During the process he explained EVERYTHING he was doing, and as all the other reviews said, he takes sterility and cleanliness seriously. For 2 piercings, it was roughly 30 minutes for the entire process, which I was really pleased with, and it didn't feel rushed at all. He takes his time and makes sure you're comfortable and prepared. After having a bad piercing and experience at another shop, I had to take it out and did a lot of research before giving Doorway Beyond and Dorian a chance to re-do it. The piercing came out amazing (nostril) and I've been back for multiple piercings since. I've never been made to feel uncomfortable and I've always had a pleasant experience. Especially with everything going on because of Covid, they're really doing an exceptional job at protecting themselves and their customers with the regulations they have in place. Would recommend 10/10. The Staff is knowledgeable, caring, clean. They are willing to answer any questions. Jewelry is always clean/sterilized and beautiful. So this place is amazing. Two of my girlfriends and I decided to get nostril piercings. Blown away by the sanitation measures. Dorian even used individual markers to mark the spot on our noses and gave them to us, just to prevent any kind of bacteria transfer. My friend was super nervous and he talked her through the whole thing and we were all in and out, with paperwork, sanitation, piercing and paying, in less than an hour. I have gone to many piercing studios and this is by far my favorite. Everyone employed there is very educated about piercing care and health. I have sensitive skin and am prone to hypertrophic scarring (which they also educated me about) and I've never had that happen when getting a piercing here. I came in today to get my seconds and thirds pierced on my lower lobe, and the experience was lovely! Both attendants were honest and courteous, and cared greatly for the quality of service they were delivering. Last time I went to get my ears pierced they did an amazing job and I would really recommend this place. They let you pick earings based on the size of your ear. They tell you to keep them in for about six months, which I think is the a good amount of time. I am thinking about getting a second piercing soon and if I do, this will be the place. read more
