First of all, Brittney was so responsive and flexible about scheduling, helping me schedule my trials and being so unbelievably understanding as the number of appointments grew and shrank leading up to the wedding. We had our appointments inside the salon because we had a relatively small group and didn't want to deal with finding an appropriate space in one of the hotels. We are so glad we did--- It feels so warm and welcoming inside the salon, and we even were able to put out a breakfast food spread during the appointments! Brittney did our hair for the wedding day (we also got great blowouts/curls from Marisa and Michaela the day before!) and she is amazing---she is so so talented, and our hair stayed completely perfect for our entire 14+ hour event. Everyone had such different hair types and styles and everyone told me they got exactly what they were hoping for, if not far better! Nicole did our makeup and we similarly could not be more impressed! She knew exactly how to handle all of our concerns and made sure that everyone loved their look. We all just couldn't stop looking in the mirror! Just like our hair, the makeup did not budge throughout the day, even though we were in a hot and humid environment! Not only are all of the folks at Strand wonderfully talented, they are also just so nice!! It's very reasonably priced to boot---it felt like an absolute steal given the skill and attentiveness of everyone there. I can't imagine a better place to kick off a wedding!

(not to mention a superb eyebrow wax each time!) Jess is my go to stylist although I would feel comfortable with anyone there... Most recently, I came to them after having "temporary" red dye added to my hair months ago from a chain salon (which will not be named). Turns out the color was far from temporary and when I tried to lighten my hair it turned a lovely shade of orange. Jess and Jill worked tirelessly to fix my hair and turn it into the fabulous ombre I was hoping for! I have moved away from the area but still come back to see them... it's worth it every time!

She always takes as much time as you need, making sure she knows exactly what you want before she starts doing any cutting or coloring! We had adjusted my hair color here and there for the past 4 or 5 years but my hair length and cut remained the same. Most recently, however, I finally decided I wanted a change. Jill was more than ready to take on the task even though I hadn't given her any warning. I came in with a very vague idea of what I wanted, "short and with some streak of some color in it." And she and I did some research, figured out what we would have to change my base color to, what cut would look best and what color we would add. I was her last appointment of her day and she happily spent extra time to make sure it looked perfect! I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a new salon to check out hairs-to-you. I have always seen Jill but all the other girls are really great. I really enjoy the atmosphere it is always fun to be there, everyone is so sweet and there is always someone to talk to, and they always get to know you really quickly. She listens, she explains, and she always makes you feel confident in whatever direction you choose. Life threw me some curveballs recently, and I ended up cutting my hair into a pixie. Even then, she knew exactly how to shape it so I still felt like myself. Whether your hair is long, medium, or short, she knows how to create a look that truly suits you. Barely any customer service skills it give you anxiety about booking your next appointment. Claudia gave me such bad anxiety every time I booked my appointments. Makes the environment completely unwelcoming. Speaks condescendingly. I had a family emergency/hospital visit one appointment and the next one I sadly tested positive for covid the night before. Everyone was understanding except Claudia. She went as far as to say "I don't even know if you will show up to your next appointment" I'm sorry I tested positive for covid the NIGHT before my appointment and didn't want anyone to get sick. It shows you this is not an understanding facility at all. Edit: The owner also sucks. Bad karma will come their way. They are and have been bullying a disabled person, which is me. Because I have memory problems. I have been nothing but polite. But I am disabled, because of my disability I cannot drive a car. And as you can see on this post, the owner is continuing to bully me. As I left a very honest review. The no shows she's talking about was a couple of me thinking that the Canton location was in Massachusetts, easy mistake. The others were because of my disability. I just don't think it's okay for them to come at me when I have such a hard time already with my disability. My disability put me in the hospital. Another reason for the no show. Then the next I received Covid. I will not be bullied for having a disability by this Owner. I've been bullied my whole life for it. Edit: Also notice the owner just responded to MY 1 star review, not others. People who are disabled shouldn't go here or people who support disabled people shouldn't as well.
