I pulled in because I had uneven wear on one tire. 36 hours later and $1400, they had improperly installed a defective axle on my Ford F150. When I returned to Texas and had a diagnosed, I called them and was referred to their national service center in New York. Neither party would either refund me nor did they tell me I was forced to bring it to a Texas location for Repair. This cost me two days of work, one night motel, And $800 to have it fixed right. But was supposed to take two hours to install an axle took "Tokyo" 6 1/2 hours. To be fair to him, he did mention he had never done it before. But, I'm in the middle of moving and the tools I needed were packed up. So, I stopped by Action Gator Tire to see if they could install it for me. They refused to put a tire on my "woods" truck because they didn't want to "scratch my wheels." They are a tire shop, they replace tires, that's what they do! In my 20 years of turning wrenches, I have never turned a customer away. I injured my back 6 years ago and it forced me out of the shop and into teaching automotive. I no longer have access to a tire machine and was happy to pay full price and had a $20 bill for the tech who did the work because I know what goes into changing tires. I didn't even make it to the counter before being greeted with, " You see that guy out there smoking a cigarette. He doesn't want to scratch your wheels, so we're not gonna be able to help you today." In the automotive industry, when a technician refuses to do work, we refer to him as a prima donna." This description fits the technicians and advisers at Mavis Tires and Brakes by the Saint Cloud Home Depot to a tee. I would recommend avoiding this location at all cost. If you want somewhere to go, that's not afraid of work, go see Joe and Andres at the Mavis Tires & Brakes on Canoe Creek and Old Canoe Creek rd. I literally don't go to any other location for oil changes or help with minor things in my vehicles. I've brought my last three cars to this location and have NEVER had any issues. Workers in this location are honest, amazing, and always so chill. I went the other day to get an oil change and inquire about a weird click and vibration in my front right side of the car whenever I hit small bumps it turns. "check engine light" came on in my truck, stopped in this morning before they opened.. a gentleman came outside , Mike, about 15mins before they opened or were scheduled to open and waved me in... Well was pretty satisfied the day I got new tires with combined total of $3,000 of work recommended by action Gator, however 4 days later had to bring it back because it still was making the same broken sound as before. They they fixed it as it was one of the new stretch stay installed was not done correctly. Then over the next two weeks My dashboard warning lights (only those dealing with that area of tires) would just randomly come on and off.. this of course stressed me out because I had just spent $3,000 on their suggested work and the lights were not a problem before the new tires unfortunately they were definitely not as friendly or attentive in helping me with this problem as they were with selling me the $3,000 worth of product ! Instead of just quickly looking at it for me they instead want me to drop my car off for a undisclosed amount of time like a whole day! I went in for an oil change on a car that has never had any oil leaks. They left my car all screwed up I have oil leaks all over my driveway they keep telling me that it's overflow on the main frame and that it's hollow so it's going to keep dripping oil.All I can tell you is if you don't want your car more messed up than what it was before you brought it in, don't bring it here!!! The absolute WORST customer service in Saint Cloud!! I bought 4 tires here and had them installed at the end of 2019. I've driven the classic car a total of 127 miles since. I needed an alignment and this was the only place that could get me in on Sat, so I brought it in. At 6pm they called and said they couldn't get to it till Monday and then I got a call Monday saying they can't get to it till Tuesday. Tuesday I got a call saying the tie rods need to be replaced, so I decided to pick it up and do the work myself. When I picked it up, they charged me $25 to fix a slow leak on the tire they installed! I was told that there was a lot of rust on the wheel that should've been cleaned off when the tires were put on. I thought this was interesting since they put the tire on. I asked to speak the manager, Joe, and he wouldn't come speak to me. Then after the guy at the desk couldn't get their cc machine to work, Joe had to come assist. I waited over 10 minutes before asking if they could just send me a bill, and Joe became extremely rude and tried to tell me how long I e been waiting and then ended his little temper tantrum by calling me "Buddy". I asked him not to refer to me as "buddy" and he told me that he did t like my attitude when I came in and that's why he has a problem with me. For the record, Joe wasn't even inside when I came in and I never interacted with him until I simply asked if they could just mail me a bill. I will drive to Orlando to get the alignment done. There is no way I would EVER think about giving this place more of my money. ...and if BIG Joe is reading this...thanks for the parting shot of "it's not my fault you don't have money" AFTWR I paid him. Great place we came in like 45 mins before they closed and they got us in did my oil change and had us out quickly I loved the service!

The only redeeming quality for this place is it's across from Chili's. I decided to give them another shot after they tried to screw me over before. I went in to just get the hose for my power steering replaced it had a tiny hole in it I had already identified it diagnosed it and was going to do it myself but just decided I was going to go to Chili's and eat and let them do it. Two hours later they call me and tell me that I need to replace my radiator my radiator hose flush my radiator do the whole cooling system and redo it and it'll be about 700 $800. They never even looked at the hole in the power steering hose that I had asked him about. Some tech decided that because it was reddish fluid that he saw in the undercarriage that my whole entire coolant system needed to be replaced. After arguing with him and telling him to look at what I had originally told him to look at agreed there was a small tiny hole in just that. So I told them give me my car back I'm done with you. So fast forward to yesterday I bring my car my girlfriend's car in to get an oil change we get the oil changed we come back we pick up the car we start to drive to Jacksonville and the car overheats because they never checked if the coolant was low on the car. when I call back they said was part of their service that they did automatically every time. However they did tell me on the other car that I need to replace the whole brake system the calipers the pads the rotors and everything else running to charge me over $1,000 to just do that. How about you make an appointment a week in advance to get your front brakes done (front pads) and after you arrive and are there already 30 minutes, you are approached and told that they don't have the parts (brake pads) in any of their warehouses AND not even the dealership has the parts. Why would you ever make an appointment for work when you don't verify that you have the parts in stock. I called Pep Boys across the street..they have the pads and they will get my business. Simply disappointed and horrible experience. I would NOT recommend this place for your auto parts and mechanical needs. read more

Mike and the team here at Action in St cloud do a fantastic job. They pay attention to the details and try their best to make accurate diagnostics. Todays automobiles are too smart for the average repair mechanics and dealerships charge 200-500% more than they should. At the end of the day you want someone taking care of your automobile to be as detailed as possible. Anyone can plug the computer into the car and let it tell them what to do, but customers need more than that. we need smart people that make sure what the computer is telling them makes sense. We came down by way of Texas for a business trip to Saint Cloud, Florida. We had three cars we wanted servicing. So we made an online appointment with action gator tire, early on. Time went by and no confirmation from gator tire (took the action out). My business partner went in person to the store on 4550 13th st. Saint Cloud, FL. On strolling in the bud behind the counter never said 2 words until he was greeted ( negative business practice). The Bud at the counter, clean shaven, white, skinny guy, finally acknowledged the only client only after we greeted him first. He was quick to point out that he had no space today when we mentioned the the online appointment he said we can't call certain area codes to call back. His attitude was passive, aggressive which we know was unwarranted, especially being at the counter of a franchise business. This bud needs to take "business white and yellow belt classes." All this technology available and gator tire has a failure due to an inability to return calls to customers. In Texas, all our employees have the ability to contact our clients and customers no matter where on GOD's creation they be. read more

I've been coming here with my dad for about 10 years and have always been pleased with them. The prices seem to be getting higher every time I go in there but you get what you pay for. I always get my oil changes and anything tire-related (rotation, new set, etc.) from here. The gentlemen are very nice; they will inform you about anything that may be an expensive fix and allow you to decide whether you want it done that day or the next time you come in (I believe they make a note of it on their computer). While you wait for your car, there's a restaurant next door (I forgot, but it's a chain one like TGIF or something), a Quiznos, nail salon, gaming store, and a Walmart all within walking distance of each other. I know I hate sitting and watching the news in the waiting room with strangers. It just feels so awkward! When your car is ready, they have it pulled up to the front for you. They don't adjust the seats back but that's a very nit-picky thing to complain about. Overall, you don't get BS service here. They actually care about the life of the car and give great advice about what things can be fixed the next time you come in. They really work with you. Also, if something seems off about your car, ask them to check it. They'll diagnose problems and allow you to decide whether you have the funds to have it fixed that day or not. They don't ever do anything to your car unless you tell them to do it and that's what I love most about this place! read more

I came to Action Gator on Tuesday, August 6 with my husband because my 2009 Nissan Altima would not start. I was in a panic because I just relocated to Florida and had my Starter replaced when I was living in Virginia. Pedro and Mike help me to relax and took their time and accurately diagnosed my car. They told me what I needed to have done to my car immediately. As well as what will be needed in the future. They understood that I am a mom with children and it's back-to-school time. They gave me the best deal. They replace my spark plugs, Ignition coil, patched the right back tire and replace my windshield wiper blades. They completed these jobs at a very reasonable price.I woke up on Thursday and my vehicle wouldn't start again so you can imagine to my surprise. I was really afraid so I had my car towed back to their shop. When I arrived they tested my battery found out that my battery was no good and they replaced it. I left their shop and went across the street to shop at Walmart. To my horror I got in my car again and it would not start. Mike drove across the street with Jesus the mechanic and diagnose my car in the Walmart parking lot. They once again diagnosed it and found out that it was my Brake line switch/safety neutral switch was not functioning properly. This was causing the vehicle not to start. Took a car in today for a family member and was treated like nothing BUT family. The team was incredible, friendly and provided fantastic service. My husband and I went to Action Gator Tires after getting a flat on the turnpike just south of St. Cloud. Once there the shop did not have our tire size in stock, stating that they would have to replace all 4 in order for the tires to match. However, the gentleman helping us got on the phone with a few other tire shops in town and was able to locate our tire in stock down the street (the only said tire in town!).
